00:00Woody Johnson went to Roger Goodell and went to the other NFL owners and he complained
00:06that the players were being given these sheets to grade his ownership on.
00:11He didn't like the fact that it became public that members of the New York Jets gave him
00:16an F for this, a B for that, a D for this, an A for that.
00:19He was embarrassed by it.
00:21So he went to the NFL and he complained and he said, there's got to be something we can
00:25do.
00:25The players should not be allowed to judge us publicly, which said that tells you the
00:30mindset of Woody Johnson as an owner.
00:33It tells you that he's more concerned with what the players think about him than actually
00:38giving the players what they need.
00:40Now, let's be fair.
00:41Some of the requests the players have are not needed.
00:44It's a luxury.
00:45And maybe they're being greedy about things.
00:47But still, it's a universal questionnaire.
00:51Like the Jets questionnaire was no different than the Chiefs questionnaire.
00:55Right.
00:55Or the Eagles or the Cowboys or the Raiders or anybody else.
00:58It's fair.
00:59All of them across the board.
01:00Just to be clear, what Craig's about to share, Woody Johnson spearheaded this.
01:04Yes.
01:04Other owners fell in line.
01:05Yes.
01:05But Woody Johnson is the reason this happened.
01:08Yes.
01:08He is the lead owner on what I'm about to tell you.
01:12Yes.
01:12The other owners did fall in line.
01:14So Woody Johnson complained to the NFL that they should take this up with the NFL Players
01:20Association because he thinks it's something that's got to be done.
01:23So they did.
01:25And apparently, there's a clause in the collective bargaining agreement that prohibits this type
01:32of thing from happening.
01:34So the NFL actually went to the Players Association and demanded that they stop providing players
01:43the opportunity to file what amounts to, excuse me, a public grievance against their respective
01:49owners for things they don't like at the facility, at the stadium, et cetera.
01:55And get this, they won.
01:58They won.
01:58So apparently, there is a clause in the collective bargaining agreement that prohibits players
02:05from putting out report cards judging their owners.
02:09And from this point forward, they are now not allowed to do it.
02:14Yes.
02:14So.
02:15I mean, is that crazy?
02:16It is crazy.
02:16Now, Andrew Brandt, he's an attorney.
02:19He teaches at the Murad Center in Villanova, says.
02:22Okay.
02:22At Villanova University.
02:23Just so we're clear, Villanova Law.
02:24He teaches a class.
02:26He worked at NFL front offices.
02:28Apparently, this has to do with, quote, damaging the shield.
02:30So, the owners, for example, are not part of the CBA.
02:34But let's say it comes out tissue.
02:36You were talking about yesterday.
02:36Yes.
02:37That he did something wrong.
02:38They can fine him because it, quote, damages the shield.
02:41Makes sense, right.
02:41Well, apparently, the loophole they used was these negative report cards damage the shield.
02:48So, when fans look at the league, it hurts the league.
02:51And that's the way they wiggled their way in.
02:54Okay, so stop there because it's a great point.
02:56So, we just want you to see what's happening in the last 24 hours.
02:59In the last 24 hours, the NFL decided that NFL players, being critical of their owners
03:07and what they provide their players from facilities to food to workout rooms, et cetera,
03:12that that damages the shield.
03:15And we have to stop that immediately.
03:17And the NFL goes to war with the P.A.
03:19And very quickly, the P.A. loses it.
03:22Boom.
03:22And the NFL gets their way.
03:24No more report cards.
03:25Right.
03:25That's happened in the last 24 hours.
03:27In the same period of time, the NFL has decided they find nothing wrong with one of their owners
03:33cavorting with Jeffrey Epstein.
03:35That's not bad for the NFL shield.
03:38Because the NFL, in the moment, this could change tomorrow.
03:41But for real.
03:42But in the moment, the Steve Tisch emails with Jeffrey Epstein are not problematic for the NFL shield.
03:49But a player on the Jets saying that Woody Johnson failed us when it came to A, B, C, and
03:56D
03:56is a problem for the shield.
03:59Pedophilia, sex trafficking, and Epstein, not a problem for the shield.
04:05Saying I want better food or a better bench press machine is a problem for the shield.
04:11Yeah.
04:12Okay.
04:12Now again, I know there's apples and then there's broccoli over here.
04:16Right.
04:16But does it make any sense at all that the NFL thinks players openly complaining or asking
04:24for better or upgraded facilities is worse for the shield than one of your 32 owners cavorting
04:31around and having Jeffrey Epstein provide women for sex?
04:35That's not bad for the shield.
04:37Just so I have this right.
04:38Right.
04:39And I know that there are two different stories.
04:41I get it.
04:41But they both happened in the last 24 hours.
04:45Mm-hmm.
04:45So Epstein, not a problem for the NFL.
04:48I want broccoli, problem for the NFL.
