00:00Once again, join us, there's the two changes that Falkirk are making, as Calvin Millen and Cole Donaldson make way for Aidan Nesbitt and Phillip Lyssa.
00:12As Scott was referring to there, Stanis Muir don't have the luxury of going to their bench much more, they've only got one more outfield substitute left than Oliver Simpson.
00:22So, extra time it is, will Falkirk finally prevail, or is there still a shock on the cards?
00:42I'm not surprised Cole Donaldson's been taken off out because as much as he's not been under pressure, I think that when Stanis Muir have been able to get it forward, they have tried to work them as much as they can.
00:52You can see him towards the end of the 90, feeling the pace a little bit, Phillip Lyssa going in there beside Lewis Nielsen, gives him that cover with his pace.
01:22Clicked into the area for Stewart, down for Nesbitt, couldn't get the shot off, the Canem is there to block.
01:31And the Falkirk fans are not happy that Barney Stewart has been penalised.
01:35Yeah, I didn't see much in that either, strong from Barney Stewart, but again, you know, an opportunity for most Falkirk, that ball into Barney Stewart, not down for Nesbitt.
01:51He's looking at Jameis in this occasion, getting the block in, getting the block in.
02:01I'm sure to get that terrific heart-trick against Hibernian just recently.
02:06Spencer's head up, Stuart, leaves it to Tate, this clip ball is cut out though by Billam, picked up by Cameron now, challenged by Spencer, fouled by Spencer.
02:25He's like Sharps as he come on, he's like Gary Nesmas wanting from him, carry the ball, draw fills, take the pressure off his team.
02:52Billam's free kick.
02:55Looking for Buchanan who wins it, there's a handmaid up there as Falkirk tried to ensure the shot didn't test Scott Bain.
03:06Oli White in the end, the man who's denied.
03:09That's a big chance for Oli White, great knockdown from Gregor Buchanan, and it's a good block, Kielan Adams getting in there.
03:16I think he's more claiming for the corner, as opposed to the handball.
03:20Yeah.
03:25Can Dennis Muir do the unthinkable here, having absorbed all Falkirk's pressure, and they sucker-punched them, not on this occasion.
03:41Loss was caught late there.
03:42It's not a bad film, Leighton Grant getting across and stopping that attack, because again, you know, it's a good delivery, causing problems for Falkirk, but when they win at the break, it's such speed and numbers.
04:02Dillon Tate into the feet of Barney Stewart, Jameson just nips in front of him, but Stewart's done well to get it back.
04:18And now it's Adams, clips it in, looking for Stewart against, just over him.
04:21The cannon's there on the cover.
04:24Back in from Wilson.
04:25Spencer invites Lousa to step forward, and he fires it out to Adams.
04:49Dillon Tate for Wilson, low ball in, swept away though.
05:10Dillon Tate's ball in, McCann there, to head clear, Nielsen immediately out to McCann, who fired it back in, it's a good ball.
05:20Jameson there with a vital interception, and then Wilson.
05:24You know, his composure deserted him there, but it's Jameson again, with Adams just in behind him lurking.
05:30Yeah, I mean, if he doesn't get that, I think Adams is scoring.
05:34It's a vital header from Nicky Jameson.
05:39You see Adams there, just behind him.
05:42He reads the situation brilliantly, he doesn't get drawn to Barney Stewart in front of him.
05:46Just holds his position, reads the flight of the ball.
05:49Tremendous header, yet again.
05:51Wilson, trying to escape the attentions of O'Reilly, which he's managed to do.
06:12He's so quick, Carell Wilson, look at him go, and it's Spencer.
06:20For Ross, McCann on the overlap.
06:23Ross, not his best.
06:26I think he was looking for someone to get on the end of that.
06:29He's disappointed one way or the other.
06:31Yeah, it tells you, maybe not a shot, is his intention.
06:38For Adams potentially going to gamble on that.
06:47Well, they've been used to a lot of success in the last couple of years.
06:53These Fokker fans, they would love to add Scottish Cup success to that list of honors.
07:00It's been such a long time since the town of Fokkerk has celebrated a Scottish Cup victory.
07:101957 to...
07:18Three final defeats in relatively recent times since then.
07:27Most recently...
07:28in 2014-15 when they lost to Callie Thistle.
07:42James has a human chase there under pressure from Stewart.
07:47And he's caught by Stewart.
07:49And that'll be a free kick to Stennis Muir.
07:52Now he's done most of his defendants, getting blocks on crosses, but having to step out in the wide area now and again, but he reads that really well.
08:04And there's a let-off.
08:06James is only hooking that up the line.
08:08And Fokkerk has a chance to pick up the ball and counter on Stennis Muir.
08:13James is only hooking those passer, but he's set fort against the lot of pressure.
08:31Thank you, James.
08:32spencer had mccann out to his left a hopeful ball forward kept in play by billam
08:41he could try to spin lisa there felt he was filled i think he's got a case there
08:51that's mccann looking to release ross as back goes archie graham
08:55and does really well that's excellent from graham because ross has got away from him but
09:04it'd be easier for him just to slow down back off and allow ross to turn but it keeps that pressure
09:08on stops him from tumbling get 1v1 billam keeps his eye on that one really closed down by wilson
09:25and both dugouts still trying to come up with a bit of tactical genius perhaps to
09:44bring about the winning goal
09:46he gets to this stage i'll wear it's either a moment of magic or a mistake and let's hope it's
09:58a moment of magic because both sets of players are put into the game
10:01ethan ross here and back the way to lewis nielsen
10:20t looking to find wilson no watch still by billam picked up by adams t again a loose one from him though
10:31you think of some of the performances folk are putting in the premiership some of the teams that
10:39they've given a real footballing lesson to at times and it simply hasn't happened tonight's dennis muir of
10:48just
10:50stood up to them yeah but i mean normally they come up against teams that are
10:55pretty open yeah and believe they can go and control the game sinis muir of satner 4-4-2 and
11:02made it very very difficult for folk and it has a different challenge but that's a challenge you have
11:08to face when your heavy favorites coming into the game and rightly so here's adams in a decent position
11:14picks out wilson can he get the shot off here big chance for spencer and he sent it well wide
11:21wide well wide of target from brad spencer i thought it must have taken a deflection yeah
11:29he stood that wide they're so good in those situations brad spencer great technique
11:37and he just tops it doesn't get a clean connection on it great play you see the desperation in the
11:43stanny box it's a good effort and only his quality yeah that was the chance not even close to testing darren jameson there
11:57there's a bit helps it on but cannon underneath it forward by graham
12:27there's mccann
12:39stuart gets his head to it did it come off our stanny defender last year guess who
12:44has to do it visiting fans looking to rouse their side to find what might well be a winning goal
13:01just a couple of minutes left in the first period of extra time as spencer sends in the near post corner it's not a great one and o'reilly able to head clear
13:11jameson intercepts and billen completes the clearance release up
13:29i'm not sure that's what he intended in terms of control but he gets it back to bain
13:34ross
13:40ross
13:48ross
13:51ross
13:55for Brad Spencer
13:58lines one up
13:59oh that's a brilliant hit from Brad Spencer
14:02and last
14:04to break the resistance
14:07is a pile driver from Spencer
14:10who passed up a much easier chance
14:12just a minute ago
14:13but he lets fly
14:16and finally gets the better
14:19of Darren Jameson and Stanis Mier
14:21and is that the goal from the captain
14:24to send his side into the last eight
14:27well he spoke about his quality
14:30for the chance that he had in the box
14:33he's probably angry with himself for it
14:35and Falkett have probed
14:37have worked it wide
14:38if it crosses into the box
14:39very few shots from distance
14:41and the space just sortens up for Brad Spencer
14:44it's such a clean strike
14:46across Jameson
14:47always moving away from him
14:49he's no chance of keeping it out
14:50such a good strike
14:52and for how much tennis we would have put into it
14:55you were hoping it was a moment of magic
14:56and that certainly is from Brad Spencer
14:58what a time to grab your first goal of the season
15:07and that's exactly what Brad Spencer has done
15:13just before
15:15first half
15:17half time
15:19in extra time
15:20and that's got the Falker fans singing now
15:28Brad Spencer's first goal since last March
15:35and he scored against Unferment
15:38and now what is the Stennis Muir response like
15:46a minute added on at the end
15:48of this first period
15:49Stenny looking to strike back immediately
15:55Graham
16:07continues his run
16:10and he won't get on to that one
16:12and he won't get on to it
16:17that's not fire
16:20that's not fire
16:21and then he won't rock
16:25that's not fire
16:27and he'll save the pavement
16:27and then he'll determine all theะo
16:32guys通 SCORES
16:35months
16:36and then he won't rock
16:39Well, they've battled for so long to keep Falkirk at bay,
17:05but there's a more sheer class from the Falkirk captain which now separates the sides at half-time and extra time Stennis Muir have 15 minutes to get themselves a goal to take this one to penalties as Brad Spencer takes his teammates applaud its half-time and extra time it's now Stennis Muir now Falkirk at one.
17:32Wonderful strike from Brad Spencer. He'd sclaffed an effort just minutes before that Scott Brown. We were stood right behind that goal. How good was it?
17:44Yeah it was a fantastic strike and like as you just said two minutes before he had a chance probably a lot easier if I'm honest and he's not even put on target and it's not like Brad he's usually very very good from that distance as well but this is a fantastic that's 25 yards.
18:00It's a fantastic strike from him. It's the only thing Jameson couldn't put his head on all day if I was honest.
18:06That's true. And forget how many times we gave him man of the match in their championship winning season. He was absolutely outstanding Brad Spencer and a strike that his dad John Spencer would have been proud of the Scotland international but it is a thing of beauty Scott.
18:20It is a thing of beauty Scott. Do you see Stennis Muir coming back from this? They'll give it a go. They'll keep fighting. They will do but I think the possession based team now they're just going to be happy just to keep the ball and to move it around and eventually they can catch them out again because they're going to have to come up a little bit higher than Stennis Muir is.
18:38But Falkirk's got pace they've got quality and they'll look a lot fresher if I'm honest.
18:44Do you expect Falkirk to continue their pattern of play or now they've got the goal will that change?
18:49No not in the slightest. John will make sure they keep playing as those little runs in behind put them under pressure try and pull the full backs deeper and deeper as they've done.
18:59And the two centre halves have been a rock in there with any crosses so no they'll just keep trying to keep that but they want a little bit more penetration in that final four.
19:06Scott for the moment thank you very much indeed the second half of extra time about to get started so it's back to James McFadden and Alistair Lamont.
19:13A couple of changes for Stennis Muir at the interval I did say they only had one left but of course I was wrong in saying that because
19:21Finley Gray and Oliver Simpson left to come on and they do come on for O'Reilly.
19:28There's a Falkirk change it's Connor Allen on for Dylan Tate.
19:41So 15 to play.
19:47Well Stennis Muir got one last big push in them.
20:04They need to find something because you know in the last period of extra time possibly most of the second half as well.
20:13It's been about being defensive and being solid and trying to maybe catch Falkirk on the break but they're going to have to go and try and gamble to get an equaliser here.
20:23They're penalised there.
20:27Down goes Lisa.
20:30Down goes L coach.
20:34Down Sieg
21:00a couple of Falker looking to kill Stennis Muir off once and for all
21:18plenty of ball was taken there but maybe Jameson just a little bit overzealous on that occasion
21:31ends up booking for his troubles
21:37no it's a full-blooded challenge Nicky Jameson
21:45does get some of the ball but just a referee quick to get his flag up
22:00Spencer having scored one might be looking to create one here
22:13it's him who delivers and the header comes in from Barney Stewart and that should be that
22:20flashing header at the near post and Spencer adds an assist to his goal and Barney Stewart gets on the
22:27score sheet and Falkirk having had to work ever so hard throughout the match to break Stennis Muir down
22:36now have the two goal cushion that should see them safely into the quarterfinal well that's the
22:41quality that has been lacking from Falkirk that final ball tremendous ball in from Brad Spencer great run
22:48from Barney Stewart you have to say it's a tremendous header as well power down into the ball into the
22:53ground Jameson again no chance but the quality is in the delivery from me
22:59Brad Spencer whipping that into the near post great header Barney Stewart
23:03and it's the first time I think an entire match that Nicky Jameson has been second to a ball played into his penalty area
23:12maybe just the fatigue telling in the end as Barney Stewart fresh off the bench
23:21is first to react and heads in that's his fourth goal since returning from his loan spell at Dunferment
23:33and at last Falkirk can breathe easy you would imagine as Wilson now brings him forward once more
23:48Stewart's in there again I think what would be really harsh on Stenny as if they were to lose another couple in
23:55this second period and end up with a scoring that really doesn't reflect how the game's gone
24:03no but I think that you see how much they've put into the game that the tiredness is always going
24:09to take over particularly for that first goal everything then becomes that little bit harder
24:15they've put so much into the game and I agree with you it would be harsh on them
24:19but again Falkirk they've shown an energy throughout haven't really been able to show the quality
24:25certainly certainly the two goals have scored they have done hungry at going get a good score line here
24:37the main thing for them clearly is the fact that they will be in the draw which will follow the full-time
24:46whistle here as we all wait to find out who will play who in the quarterfinals and still a couple of
24:52ties of course to be played uh not this midweek but next
24:58Aberdeen a mother wall and uh dundee united and spartans both postponed
25:11at the weekend and so they have still to do battle in the last 16.
25:24and if Falkirk were to end up going all the way they look back at this one and know that they've
25:35been in a real fight
25:36been a credit to themselves to to league one which they still have a big chance of going and winning
25:46and moving into the championship for the very first time
25:52Falkirk have been made to work for it there's no doubt
25:55and that because Stennis Muir have been so well organized so hard working
26:00and absolutely spot on the other credit themselves a manager
26:13Adams still got the energy to burst forward from right back
26:18and gets to say a corner kick and that's demoralizing itself because you're looking at
26:24the opposition and for Stennis Muir they put so much into it but Falkirk don't show any signs
26:29of fatigue are slowing down they still get that that's it that energy willingness to go and run
26:45looking for a third to put a bit of gloss on the score line
26:50way by Graham Adam gets it to Ross any touch from him though
26:59I think Steny find themselves a goal from somewhere and just
27:04give themselves a glimmer of hope going into the last few minutes
27:13he's going to come back for the free kick to Stennis Muir
27:31I was smoking about Falkirk and the energy to go forward but when it looked like Stennis Muir had a chance to go and potentially get a goal with the desire and the hunger to get back in numbers as well
27:41was there
27:46yeah for all the hard work you have to acknowledge that Scott Bain hasn't had a
27:50a serious save to make in the entire for 113 minutes thus far
27:55Stennis Muir trying to change that here
28:06kind of goes to try and attack it but he's beaten to it by Lisa
28:09he's Grant
28:15Nesbitt and Ross teaming up to see that out of play
28:21Wilson is down off the ball and
28:33shouting at the referee that he was impeded to no avail though
28:50so they haven't quite been able to match the heroics of the
29:1294-95 team that saw off St Johnston and then Aberdeen before being beaten by Hibernian in the quarterfinals the last time they
29:21they reached the quarters they're not going to do it this year by the looks of it
29:24and we'll have got a chance here to pull one back and then you never know
29:35can they convert here it's Jameson just couldn't get it to go
29:38whereas Buchanan will try and he'll put it back in but all he can do is he'll put it behind
29:41all his team's efforts will ultimately come to nothing
30:05he obviously won't be happy losing the game
30:08and Gary the way I do but I'm going to be so proud these players and the effort and performance levels have shown tonight
30:25Barney Stewart giving chase but Buchanan beats him to it
30:30Spencer picks up finds Ross
30:32going to find a bit of space almost able to feed Wilson
30:39the last-ditch challenge coming in there to prevent it getting through from going to Ewan
30:57certainly been a hard-fought derby
31:04It's certainly been a hard-fought derby
31:24Ultimately for we're gonna come out on top and they've got a chance here to make it three is Wilson on the turn
31:31And he rockets that one over the top
31:40Make sure we're getting that one back tonight
31:45It's sharp from wilson to get the turning hat he just can't keep it down and it's the only again, you know
31:52They probably feel they're out of the game
31:54But they're still willing to put their bodies in the line try to make sure they don't concede another goal
32:01Here's nesbitt
32:20Well said moving at peace
32:23It's gonna be a stannis muir free kick
32:25So just a couple of minutes left james your thoughts on man of the match tonight
32:33Yeah, it's not often
32:35I don't give it to the guy that scored the goal and got an assist
32:39But I mean you have to give it a nicky jameson. He's been outstanding tonight
32:43As has you know stannis muir as a team
32:46It is very difficult because such a good display, but I have to go with nicky jameson from man of the match what a performance he's put in
32:53No arguments for me
33:09Cameron has done well to keep possession there
33:14Nice little layoff from aiken
33:16Conor allen is just slotted into the midfield we've seen him play center back
33:24most of this season
33:26I can hear fireworks going on or out going off around me. I can't see them
33:30I'm hoping they don't come anywhere near the compsy position. Can't see anything in here. No wonder you can't see them
33:46You're looking to strike late here graham with the throw it into the box flicked off by bachanan for determined to keep the clean sheet
33:59It's gonna be a free kick to stannis muir in the final minute
34:29Oh
34:40Oliver simpson here then over the free kick in the final seconds of the match
34:45Simpsons delivery oh, he's got too much on that
35:01And it's the last kick of the ball and falkirk emerged victorious from this starby
35:08Well, they were pushed all the way but it took a couple of moments of real quality from that man
35:14The captain brad spencer and his first goal in almost a year rifled in from 25 yards before
35:21Delivering a free kick onto the head of barnish stuart to nod in the second
35:27And in stannis muir's hopes of a cup shock but stannis muir takes so much credit from this game
35:35I've been kept folk account for so long a real battling performance defensively
35:44Brilliantly structured well drilled but ultimately coming out second best as poker take their place
35:52In the quarter-final draw which will take place
35:56Very shortly and you'll find out who your team will be facing in the last day brad spencer with a little memento
36:04For one of the Falkirk fans really nice touch from the captain
36:14And well ultimately Falkirk get the job done
36:19It was a slog at times for them
36:23But ultimately their class told and they will be in the last eight
36:33So it finishes at Oakleview after extra time stannis muir nil Falkirk 2
