00:00When did the news come out two days ago, three or three days ago?
00:02Yeah.
00:03I think I talked to him a little bit before that, so I'm talking about him every day as well.
00:07What do you think of him?
00:08I can't wait.
00:09I ran into Kelsey at the awards ceremony last night, had a few questions for him,
00:14and everybody that I've talked to, and when the news broke,
00:18the amount of people who reached out to me just had exceptionally high things to say about him
00:22and his character and the coach that he is makes me very, very excited for the future
00:27and the opportunity to be the play for him.
00:29You got one vote for Rookie of the Year, right?
00:31Yeah.
00:33I guess more people have conversations and things to say about me sliding
00:37and it has nothing to do with my play on the field, so it is what it is.
00:42Did that tick you off?
00:43I mean, absolutely.
00:44I feel like just to turn off the pictures of the players and just look at the numbers
00:49and feel like they speak for themselves, I don't need to argue that.
00:52But I also have a lot of respect for the other guys that were a part of it as well,
00:55so it's just a chip on my shoulder for sure.
00:59I mean, yeah, I broke my ankle, so I've learned a lot about myself, who I am
01:05and what I've done in the process of getting healthy and what I really want in life
01:11and, you know, living without football sucks.
01:15So just understanding that this is what I'm going to do for the next, hopefully, 10 years,
01:19that's my plan.
01:21That's my goal.
01:24I'm a football player.
01:25That's who I am.
01:26Yeah, I think that I've just matured tremendously from an individual, you know,
01:33personally and physically on the field.
01:38You know, I think that there's just a lot.
01:39Like, you don't have to put one thing to the next.
01:42You know, your rookie year is the longest year of your whole career,
01:44probably of your whole life.
01:45But I'm grateful for the successes, obviously.
01:50I'm also grateful for the adversity and the struggles that we went through,
01:54that I went through.
01:56And I think that it's just going to be building blocks to step forward
02:00and just a lot of motivation and chip on our shoulders.
02:02So, you know, I think that, you know, when it's all said and done,
02:05this is going to be a season where you look back on the year that you look back on
02:08and you're honestly thankful for it because, you know, it's a driving force.
02:13And at the same time, like Scott said, like, you find a purpose
02:17when you're going through struggle.
02:19What has this week been like for you, Jackson?
02:21You've been here since when?
02:23What is today?
02:24Today's Friday.
02:25So I got here Wednesday morning.
02:28You kind of just bounce around from one thing to the next.
02:31I think it's definitely, you know, it's very busy.
02:33I think it's been a great experience to meet people and to have interactions.
02:37And, you know, during the season, we're so, you know, packed with our schedule
02:41that we're not able to do things like this.
02:43So, you know, with that being said, it's definitely been hard during this playoff season
02:48to not be playing and, you know, having to sit home and watch it.
02:52So, you know, I think this has been something to keep your mind off of it
02:56from just kind of the frustrations of not, you know, being able to continue to play.
