00:00All right, Jackson, we're honoring your teammate, one of the captains, one of the leaders in the locker room, Brian
00:05Burns, tonight.
00:06He gets the hometown hero award.
00:08Just kind of talk about what his leadership is like, both on the field and off the field, since you've
00:13been around him.
00:14Yeah, Burns is the heart and soul of our team, the culture that we build from a football perspective.
00:19I think this just goes to show, you know, what kind of man he is and what example he is.
00:23So, you know, what he does for our team, he does even more for the community.
00:29So I think that just says a lot about him and what he's about, his identity as a person.
00:34So I'm just proud to be, you know, his teammate and just support him.
00:39He's still early in the offseason program, but have you noticed anything different in the way he leads?
00:43I mean, 16 and a half sacks, that's leading by example, but he's been a little bit more vocal.
00:48Has he taken that approach this year?
00:50Yeah, absolutely.
00:51I think it says a lot, you know, after the year that he just had and then coming into, you
00:55know, these offseason where a lot of the stuff isn't even required, you know, for us to be here.
00:58But he's been here every single day holding the standard for the guys.
01:02And, you know, I know that he's hungry to win just like every single one of us.
01:07So he wants to do things the right way.
01:10There's a little bit of an edge that Coach Harbaugh has brought to our team and can be more excited
01:15to go to battle with him.
01:16You had yourself a nice little offseason.
01:18I saw Instagram videos of you on the boat.
01:21I saw you at the Kentucky Derby.
01:22But you're a football guy.
01:24You're back into your element.
01:25I mean, I know it's still early.
01:27What can Giants fans look forward to most in Jackson Dart in year two?
01:33I can't wait to get this thing rolling again, man.
01:35I think that, you know, obviously there's a little bit more like media coverage when you go out and do
01:39something.
01:40But, you know, my football is priority and it's always been that way.
01:43So nothing comes before that for me and that work.
01:47But, yeah, I just can't wait.
01:49I just can't wait to, you know, take these new strides.
01:51I can't wait to get my boys back out healthy on the field.
01:54And I just think we have a lot of weapons, you know, new additions that we brought in as well.
01:58And I just think that we're going to be able to mesh and do things at a really high level.
02:02So I can't wait for it.
02:03Last but not least, like what's been the biggest, I guess, change this year with the new offensive coordinator and
02:08the Matt Nagy.
02:09You've got Greg Roman, Brian Callahan.
02:11All three of those guys have experience in terms of play calling in the NFL.
02:15What would you say has kind of been like the biggest, maybe the biggest obstacle of picking up their terminology
02:22or the way they want to do things?
02:24Like how are you guys working together and how comfortable are you so far?
02:28Yeah, I think that we've been able to make something really unique.
02:30It's different.
02:32And like you said, you just brought up three bright minds who have all done things in different ways and
02:36had a lot of success doing it.
02:37So you're just meshing something.
02:40And they've done an amazing job of not making it too complicated, but also making it where it's complex and
02:47efficient and fast.
02:49So it's going to be a really explosive offense.
02:52But, you know, our identity is going to be violent and running the ball.
02:55And I can't wait because, you know, there's a lot of great coaches here who know how to do it.
03:00And we get the opportunity to go play for them.
03:02Last but not least, we've seen you at the UFC fight.
03:05When are we going to see you at Celebrity Row in a Knicks game?
03:08And is this the year the Knicks in the drought and win an NBA championship?
03:12I'll tell you what, they're playing their best ball right now.
03:14So I'm planning on getting out there this next series in the Eastern Conference Finals and watching those boys go
03:20to work.
03:20They've had a hell of a year, but I think they're playing their best ball and hitting their stride right
03:23now.
03:23The Garden's going to go on fire when they put you on the Jumbotron, man.
03:26Thanks for taking your time with us and good luck this season, bro, as always.
03:29Appreciate you.
03:30Appreciate you.
