00:00Thursday night's matchup for the Dallas Mavericks and the San Antonio Spurs tacked on the sixth
00:09consecutive loss for Dallas as they fell short with a final score of 135-123. Following the
00:15NBA trade deadline, the Mavericks sent Anthony Davis, D'Angelo Russell, Jaden Hardy, and Dante
00:20Exum to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Chris Middleton, Marvin Bagley, Tyus Jones,
00:26and A.J. Johnson. In terms of this matchup, this was a full collective effort from the starters as
00:31they scored a total of 108 points together and three out of five of them were able to score 20
00:37plus points individually. Now I do want to highlight the performance of rookie Cooper Flagg in the past
00:42few games as well as in this competition as he has had four consecutive games of scoring at least 30
00:47points or more, some of those being double and triple double nights and he's been playing with
00:52that edge that we've been waiting for all season long. When asked about Flagg's performance and
00:57longevity, head coach Jason Kidd said that the runway is long for Cooper. He said to be able to put up
01:0230 points against a really good defensive team is really impressive for a rookie.
01:07He's 19 years old. He's developing, understanding the NBA game, the schedule, the physicality, and so his game, you know, is very impressive. It's now it's for us to find those pieces that fit and we believe we have some of those pieces already. Flagg finished with 32 points, 4 assists, and 6 rebounds. Right behind him is Najee Marshall, who also finished with 32 points, 3 assists, and 6 rebounds.
