00:00Hello, in this video, we're going to show you how to manage patient's prescription.
00:05From the HMS homepage, you need to navigate to the patient's menu.
00:13So you can prescribe, you can enter prescription for your patient either from viewing the patient's details
00:20or by navigating to the specific consultation of the patient.
00:27So let's say the patient has malaria, then has headache at different times.
00:33You can enter prescription for that particular consultation by viewing the consultation.
00:39Then you navigate to the prescription tab on view consultation.
00:45So you just need to click on this, add prescription.
00:48Then you can click on this to add as many prescriptions as you need.
00:52So you can add one drug here, then another drug, as many as you need.
00:57So once you see these details, you just need to enter.
01:00First select the drug you would like to prescribe, the kind of drug.
01:05Then you fill in the other details.
01:08Some already populated, like the strength, form, the frequency, which you can adjust to specific prescription you would want to enter.
01:18So you can adjust that, then you can enter dosage form and the duration and how many days are needed to use it,
01:25which then automatically calculates the total quantity of these drugs to be used
01:30by multiplying the dosage, the duration, and the frequency of usage.
01:36Then you can enter an instruction if you want.
01:39You can enter your preferred instruction.
01:46Then there's option here to select a specific brand.
01:49So this brand can be the different brand of these particular drugs that you are prescribing.
01:56So if you have the brands added in your inventory or your stock management section,
02:04that's inventory management, then you can select the specific brand you want to, you are prescribing.
02:11And if not, you can just leave this unchecked.
02:13Then you can follow the same process to add as many drugs as needed.
02:18So once you had all the drugs to be prescribed, then you can click on save to prescribe the drug.
02:25And from here, you can see all the prescriptions that have been entered for a client.
02:32It shows you the dates and the doctor's name that prescribed it will reflect here.
02:38Then also if there's been a diagnosis on the consultation before you prescribed it and the other details as well.
02:46Now once you have recorded, added a prescription for a patient, then the pharmacy can indicate the giving out of this prescription under this drug master's section.
03:02So to navigate there, you can click on the HMS home and go to drugs.
03:07So from here, you can see all prescriptions.
03:10So from here, these are all the drugs that can be prescribed.
03:12You can see prescriptions that have been made, the time, the patient that's prescribed and the patient's name, right?
03:21Then from here, you can click actions and stock out.
03:25So you can view prescription.
03:26Then if the prescription has been given out, you can stock out the prescription.
03:32So the drug details are already populated.
03:35Then you can just enter the quantity that was given.
03:38If it's the same with what was prescribed.
03:41Then also the brand of the drug that was given as well.
03:45Then you can enter the rates or the price.
03:52So this can be $500, for example.
03:58Then you can enter the dates the drug was stocked out by the pharmacist.
04:03Then as well as the location.
04:06Thus, if there are multiple locations, the pharmacy can stock out drugs.
04:11Then that can be entered as well.
04:13Then you click on submit to stock out the drug.
04:16So we can see from here, the drug has been dispensed.
04:22Then another aspect of the prescription is the schedule.
04:26So once you create or hide a prescription, the schedule of how the patient should use it is already automatically generated.
04:33So for this, on this prescription schedule page, you can see prescription schedule for all the patients, which you can then filter by these parameters to check for specific period or the date of the prescription was dispensed.
04:50You can check with that then this schedule also reflects for specific patients.
04:58So for these patients that I just entered the prescription, it also has a schedule tab to see the schedule of prescription for these patients.
05:07So for the prescription I just entered for these patients, then this is the schedule of how he is meant to use it.
05:13And if the patient is admitted, the nurses or administrative officers that is in charge of dispensing or administering these prescriptions to the patients can indicate which of these has been given to the patients.
05:30So from here, for each of the schedule item, you can update, you can view to see the details.
05:36And also you can click on this update status to indicate if it was been administered or if it is still pending or if it is missed.
05:45So if you select any of these options, then you can enter the dates, which was administered, and also the time it was administered.
05:53So that can also be entered there.
05:55Then you can select the staff that administered the drug.
05:58And also if there is a batch number that can be entered here, then if there is also a remark, you can enter it here as well.
06:06You just need to click on save to indicate that this drug has been administered.
06:11And immediately we can see that the details that have just been entered is reflecting on the schedule.
06:18So from here you know, out of all the times that the patient is supposed to use this drug,
06:24these are the ones or the details of the prescription, if administered or pending or if it was missed,
06:32it can easily be seen on the VIEW consultation as well as a VIEW patient profile.
