11:15And away from Hope Valley
11:17Are you sure about that?
11:19Look
11:20The wind is shifting in our favor
11:23It's moving east

11:32Here, Joseph, help me up
11:33All right, everyone, listen up

12:06Offering Hope Valley a sanctuary
12:08That's a good idea, sweetheart
12:09Don't worry

12:18I'll go too
12:19Oh, sweetheart, you don't have to
12:21Yes, I do

22:24It would be strange if you weren't
22:26Not once have I strode the boards
22:29And not felt that tingle of butterflies
22:32It's what awakens the showwoman
22:34Or showman
22:36As the case may be
22:37Ready?
22:39Welcome, friends
22:44I know you're all scared right now
22:46None of us could have predicted
22:47That we'd all be gathered here tonight
22:49Under these circumstances
22:50But lucky for us
22:52We have a governor
22:54Who is prepared at a moment's notice
22:56Not only to lead us
22:58But also to dazzle us
23:01With magic
23:03Ooh
23:05Introducing
23:09Governor Bouchard
23:11Ladies and gentlemen
23:19Children of all ages
23:21I give you
23:23The world famous
23:25Disappearing
23:27Handkerchief
23:28On the floor?
23:37What do you mean
23:37It's on the floor?
23:39Right, it is on the floor
23:40You know what?
23:43I know
23:45What happened there
23:46I waved my hand
23:48When I should have
23:49Snapped my fingers
23:50Silly me
23:52On the floor
23:59Thank you very much
24:01Have a lovely evening
24:03What do you mean
24:04It's on the
24:04Can't
24:05It can't possibly
24:06Be
24:07It is
24:07It is on the floor again
24:09Oh my
24:10Well
24:10Okay
24:11Well
24:12Let's say we give this
24:13One more shot
24:14Shall we try again?
24:16Okay
24:17See if we can really
24:19Make this handkerchief
24:21Disappear
24:23Oh my goodness
24:28It really is
24:29Thank you for catching that
24:30That's not right, is it?
24:33Well
24:33Wonderful
24:43And for my next trick
24:47I will make the world famous
24:49Handkerchief reappear
24:51Right before your eyes
24:52Poof
24:53Oh my goodness
24:55I said poof
24:56I sure said poof
24:57Let me try this again
24:59Right?
25:01Oh
25:01Oh
25:13All right
25:31Have fun with Talia tonight
25:36I love you sweetest Lily
25:39I love you too Auntie Faith
25:41Have fun
25:45Be good
25:47I hate not being with her
25:55But with the infirmary full
25:57It's just
25:57Faith
25:58You are a godsend
25:59And I think that Lily knows
26:01Just how important your work is
26:03We're all so grateful for you tonight
26:06Well not everyone
26:08Oh how's Bill?
26:10He is resting
26:11Peacefully
26:11If grumpily
26:13In fact I should probably get back to him
26:15Before he leads a revolt
26:16What a night
26:21My goodness
26:22I have to think it's only your second night home
26:24How are you?
26:26Well I'm feeling very lucky
26:27That we still have a home
26:29We're happy to take LJ tonight
26:30So you can stay
26:31Thank you
26:32Speaking of home
26:33I think we might have a problem
26:34Gwendolyn's father still hasn't turned up
26:37And she won't leave the saloon until he does
26:39Oh the poor dear
26:41I think that's the first time she's smiled since she got here
26:49Goldie has that effect on people
26:51I have an idea
26:57Gwendolyn
27:02I'd like to introduce you to Mrs. Coulter
27:05Goldie's mom
27:06Hi
27:07She has a funny laugh
27:09She does
27:10She does doesn't she
27:12Goldie's father and I need a babysitter for Goldie
27:16Do you think that's something you might be able to help us with?
27:19It would mean staying in our home
27:20But we'd bring your dad straight to you as soon as he arrives
27:23I mean if you need the help
27:29I guess I could
27:30Wonderful
27:32Thank you
27:33Sorry I couldn't resist
28:02We had extra popcorn
28:05Thanks uh
28:07Sorry I missed it
28:08It was mostly for the kids
28:10You're a real Mountie now
28:12I guess
28:15You guess?
28:18First arrest
28:19That's big
28:20Plus you know
28:22You kind of saved my life
28:23I don't know about that
28:25I mean there was no way
28:26That was the only thing that happened to you
28:27And you would have found your way out on your own anyway
28:33I'm not so sure about that
28:36I couldn't even find my way to talking like a normal person yesterday
28:40I thought that was just me
28:42Pretty sure it was both of us
28:44Why were we so weird?
28:46So weird!
28:47Okay
28:50I should go
28:52I promised Elizabeth
28:54I wouldn't be too long
28:55Since she needs help at the visitor center
28:57So
28:58Allie wait
29:02Yeah?
29:05Back when I was riding up to look for you in the fire
29:07The only thing I could think about was that
29:10I didn't get to say what I meant to say
29:12When you first got back
29:13I really missed you this summer, Allie
29:18I really missed you too, Oliver
29:23That your girlfriend?
29:36No
29:37I mean
29:38None of your business
29:39Sure seemed like your girlfriend
29:41They're back
30:01Rosemary!
30:03Everyone, they're back from Benson Hills!
30:05I'm so glad you're safe
30:07We waited up all night for you
30:09You all look like you've been in a war
30:14In a war
30:16Did you find my dad?
30:22I did, yeah
30:22He told me to tell you he loves you very much
30:25And he's gonna come get you as soon as he can
30:26Why not now?
30:31He's in the hospital in Buxton
30:32Can I see him?
30:35Not right now
30:37The doctors want to be careful with infections
30:39So there's no visitors for the next few weeks
30:40We'll take you to Buxton as soon as he's ready
30:46Bless you, Constable Grant
30:52Now give it to me straight
30:55How's my town?
30:57I'm sorry to report Mayor Hickam
30:59But it's bad
31:00How bad?
31:05The embers overwhelmed the fire line we were digging
31:07Kent, every time we got the building fires under control
31:10The heat in the embers would reignite it
31:14Your fire crew, the volunteers, all of us
31:16We did everything we could
31:18But half the houses are gone
31:20Your main street is
31:21It's destroyed
31:23Amazing, I'm so sorry
31:29The good news is everyone's accounted for
31:33There's a few injuries, but there's no fatalities
31:38Well, that's a blessing, at least
31:41The fire has almost burned itself out
31:45As you just know, the town acted as a natural firebreak
31:49You can't go back
31:52Not right now
31:55Go back to what?
31:59Maisie
32:00You'll rebuild and we will be right there beside you
32:08Every step of the way, I promise you that
32:10Thank you, Mayor Coulter
32:15Of course
32:15Constable Grant
32:17Thank you all
32:21Now, I guess I better go break the news
32:28Excuse me
32:35Dad!
32:44Allie
32:45I'm so glad you're back
32:49Yeah, me too
32:51Me too
32:53Oh, good morning
33:08Good morning
33:12You didn't actually
33:15Sleep here?
33:16Actually
33:17Actually, I did
33:18You realize we are
33:21Standing in a hotel
33:22I didn't want to take a room
33:24From a family
33:24Who may have lost everything
33:25You do realize
33:31I
33:31I know
33:34I guess I'm just not quite ready
33:38I need to face that
33:40Well, maybe you didn't lose
33:44Everything
33:46One of Uncle Ernie's gold coins
33:51I held on to it for good luck
33:53But
33:54It belongs to you
33:56This coin was stolen by the Garrison gang
34:00Hanging on to it is a federal crime
34:02Well, it's a good thing I know a very good lawyer
34:04Won't help you much
34:06If I'm the one turning you in
34:07I was moved by your show last night
34:13It was very kind
34:16And worth more than gold
34:19For all of those kids
34:20You know, that's not a replacement for sleep
34:48It is today
34:50What a homecoming
34:53This is home
34:57Right here
34:59Do you have any idea how much I love you?
35:05Remind me
35:06Sometimes I can't sleep
35:11Because I'm too happy
35:13Well, I'm about to make you
35:16So much happier
35:17Oh
35:23Whoa
35:29When was the last time you ate something?
35:32I've been a little busy
35:33Wait, I don't have a mound of paperwork I have to get through
35:36When you and Lee announced the evacuation
35:41I went through my whole house trying to decide what to save
35:46I only took a few things
35:49The rest I was prepared to let go
35:52This whole ordeal
35:56It's just reminded me of what makes Hope Valley home
36:00It's not the cafe
36:02Or the mercantile
36:04Or the saloon
36:05It's the people
36:07Too happy to sleep, huh?
36:16And three
36:25And two
36:29And one
36:33Very good
36:35Oh, yeah
36:38Thanks, Molly
36:40You and Faith fixed me right up
36:43What are you doing?
36:45Well, I'm thanking you for taking care of me
36:47You want to thank me, lie back down
36:49No, I'm good, Molly
36:50I need to get back to work
36:51Bill
36:52It has been a long night
36:54And I am done coddling your ego
36:55You see that woman?
36:57She hasn't slept yet
36:58If you ignore her orders because you're some tough guy
37:01You're going to be the reason she can't sleep again tonight
37:03Okay
37:04Good morning, Bill
37:06Let's hear how those lungs are doing, shall we?
37:08Sure, Doc
37:09Breathe in
37:11One more
37:19Much better
37:25Let's continue to hit the nebulizer once every four hours
37:29And who knows
37:30Perhaps we'll be able to send you home later this afternoon
37:33Thanks, Doc
37:34Can I play outside if I change out of my church clothes, Mama?
37:44Of course you may, sweetheart
37:45Okay
38:03I don't know.
38:33When the lights go out, it inevitably makes you realize you take them for granted most of the time.
38:44Like so much of life that, of course, is never guaranteed but seems immutable.
38:50Like when I lost Jack and it felt like things would never be the same ever again.
38:56But eventually, I found my way back to a different but just as meaningful normal.
39:03And then came little Jack's diagnosis last fall.
39:07At first, it felt too big to ever overcome.
39:13But at some point, you have to look up, take in the new landscape,
39:19and begin to accept that although it is indeed changed forever,
39:24something beautiful can still rise from the ashes.
39:27The fire was a far-reaching tragedy,
39:35and I don't think any of us can quite yet comprehend all that's changed.
39:39The flames cruelly stole from so many, not only their past, but the future as well.
39:50We will rebuild.
39:52Fellas, thank you for coming out so late.
40:06Of course.
40:07What's on your mind, Lee?
40:08I can't stop thinking about how that fire could have started.
40:18There's a lot of ways that fire could have started.
40:21Bill, I don't know about that.
40:23I don't know.
40:24There was no lightning.
40:25Trains weren't anywhere near that ridge.
40:27There's nothing that could have sparked.
40:28What are you getting at here, Lee?
40:34How does a national park burn down the night before it opens?
40:37Hmm?
40:39Do any of you actually think this is a coincidence?
40:44I assure you, Lee, we're gonna look into this.
40:48Okay.
40:49Good.
40:50I'm glad.
40:50But I'm here to tell you you're not gonna have to look any further than A.J. McGinty.
40:54We already know he was the one behind the vandalism this summer.
41:00And there he was, right in the middle of Main Street, taunting us just hours before the fire started.
41:06And then when that didn't quench his fury over losing his precious grazing rights,
41:10just like that, decided to burn it all down.
41:15I, for one, will not rest until that man is behind bars.
41:24I, for one, will not rest until that man is behind bars.
41:29I, for one, will not rest until that man is behind bars.
41:30I, for one, will not rest until that man is behind bars.
41:31I, for one, will not rest until that man is behind bars.
41:32I, for one, will not rest until that man is behind bars.
41:33I, for one, will not rest until that man is behind bars.
41:34I, for one, will not rest until that man is behind bars.
41:35I, for one, will not rest until that man is behind bars.
41:36I, for one, will not rest until that man is behind bars.
41:37I, for one, will not rest until that man is behind bars.
41:38I, for one, will not rest until that man is behind bars.
41:39I, for one, will not rest until that man is behind bars.
41:40I, for one, will not rest until that man is behind bars.
