00:00I feel like when I started modeling that's when doors really, well, slowly started to
00:05open and I felt like that I was creating a path for other young girls that looked up
00:08to me, which I thought was so awesome because growing up I looked up to Tyra Banks and I'm
00:12like, she can do it, I can do it.
00:15So the fact that I got to walk in the V.S. show and do mini shows all around the world
00:20was pretty insane.
00:21This is good for young girls to see that I can do it and they can do it too.
00:25So to be in 2018 and to be walking the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, to be from Brooklyn, to
00:30look like this is kind of like, it blows my mind, it doesn't feel real, but it just opens
00:35up my eyes that this is an amazing opportunity, not just for myself, but to represent a different
00:40kind of beauty, to be a representation for my generation and for the younger girls who
00:44are looking up to me that anything is possible.
00:47You know, like I come from Brooklyn, a single parent, there's nothing any different about
00:52me and about my journey, so I just think it's phenomenal, it's incredible, it's the
00:56right time.
00:58So being handpicked for like, you know, the show has been completely overwhelming, like
01:03since I booked it I've been shooting the online content and digital campaigns, which has been
01:09amazing.
01:10So yeah, it's been like a dream come true really.
01:12I think maybe the first fashion show for Victoria's Secret that aired on TV, that's when I was like,
01:18I need to be there someday and it just, you looked up to those, or I looked up to those
01:22girls because they were such strong women and they were so empowering and inspiring to
01:27me that I wanted, they were like super women, so I wanted to be one of them.
