00:38personnel was certainly improved but the culture he's created within the team where you can just
00:42tell he has a great relationship with his players and the ability to scheme up quality defense
00:47throughout the year has been very impressive lost in a lot of this has been they've operated this
00:52season without their primary defensive coordinator terrell williams went out for most of the
00:57season while battling prostate cancer he's thankfully cancer free but but it really just
01:02speaks to the fact that i believe he left the team around week two very early in the season but mike
01:06vrabel has found a way with his staff to really get the most out of this defense even amid those
01:12circumstances so yes we can look at the schedule and say it's been a weaker schedule yes you can look
01:17at the playoff luck and say oh they got lucky facing the broncos in a snowstorm with a backup
01:21quarterback the afc championship game there's a lot you can point to that say yes they've been
01:25extremely fortunate but a 10 win turnaround doesn't come just from a schedule to your point
01:30there's a lot that's gone into this and i think vrabel you can make a strong case for him as coach
01:35of the year i think there's a lot of good coach of the year candidates this year but he really should
01:39win because nobody and i mean nobody expected the patriots to be able to get this far this season
