00:00Obviously a little football last night, not the greatest game I've ever seen as the New
00:04England Patriots jump all over the New York Giants and then the Giants fight back a little
00:08bit, make it 17-7, have a chance for a field goal late in the first half, making a one
00:14score game.
00:15And the dude kicking for the Giants, Coup, I think is his last name, not right?
00:19That's right.
00:19Does something I've never seen in my life before, actually kicks the turf and not the
00:24ball.
00:25New England gets the rock, they score a game over at halftime, just an embarrassment.
00:33The New York Giants have had the worst luck in the history of football with the dudes
00:36that they think can kick extra points, field goals, kickoffs, et cetera.
00:40But another loss for the Giants.
00:42And it's funny, driving in today, listening to some sports talk radio, all your Giants
00:46fans complaining about is, oh, New England's dirty.
00:50New England hit Jackson Dart late.
00:53New England's not your problem.
00:55You're your problem.
00:56And the hit on Jackson Dart last night was not late, nor was it dirty.
01:01Nope.
01:01It was an NFL hit.
01:04And I'm telling you now, Jackson Dart did a great job post-game by telling you, dude,
01:10I'm playing football, I get hit.
01:12I'm going to continue to get hit because I play football and I play it like a man.
01:16So Giants fans, I know it's tough watching another year go down the tubes.
01:20I know it's tough.
01:20You know, trying to find another new head coach, probably another new general manager, new coordinators,
01:26new talent, the whole bit.
01:28But the hit on Jackson Dart was neither illegal, nor was it late, nor was it dirty.
01:35It's called football.
01:37And when did you people, you find people that I love and have loved me back for so many years
01:43suddenly get soft?
01:45To listen to Giants fans complaining that New England was a little too tough for us, a little
01:51too rough for us.
01:52Like, what are you, Dolphins fans?
01:55What are you, Chiefs fans?
01:57Like, the average Giants fan I've always felt is a hardworking, blue-collar man's man who
02:04loves big hits, right?
02:06I mean, that's what the Giants were built on.
02:08Leonard Marshall, Lawrence Taylor, Carl Banks, Gary Reasons, and on and on and on, right?
02:15And now you're complaining and crying like little bitches that your quarterback inbounds,
02:21trying to get a couple extra yards, got laid out?
02:25And by the way, he didn't get hurt on the play anyway, and he lived to fight another day.
02:29I'll tell you this about the Giants.
02:30I think you'd agree with me, Tyrone.
02:32And it's a small sample size, but sometimes you just know Jackson Dart's an NFL quarterback.
02:38Can we agree on that?
02:39Yeah, I'd go with that.
02:40I'm not telling you that he's a top five quarterback, but Jackson Dart, as shown already,
02:45on a bad team.
02:46Now, sometimes when you see little diamonds in the rough, we know the team around him
02:51stinks.
02:52They do.
02:52It's not a good team, talent-wise, around him.
02:56Jackson Dart is here to stay.
02:57Jackson Dart is a franchise quarterback, and at some point, maybe with better coaching,
03:02maybe with better talent around him, he could become a top 10 quarterback, but we know that
03:08he's a legitimate NFL starting quarterback.
03:10He absolutely...
03:11Give me that.
03:11He is.
03:12Okay.
03:12He does take too many hits.
03:14Yeah, for sure, but that's kind of like youthful exuberance, and maybe even some hubris.
03:19But after the game, he's tripling down on it.
03:21The more you get hit as a quarterback, the more you get hurt.
03:25Absolutely right.
03:25And he does have to be smart about that.
03:27And by the way, all quote-unquote athletic quarterbacks that use their feet as weapons,
03:33whether that's Danny Jones prior to him, because he was very good at that.
03:36I know people don't like talking about that.
03:37But he's a good athlete.
03:38Obviously, Lamar Jackson's probably the best at it, and Baltimore wants him to do less
03:43of that.
03:44They all expose themselves to the potential big hit.
03:47Jackson Dart is no different.
03:49Like, this goes back to Fran Tarkenton and Randall Cunningham and Mike Vick, and you pick your
03:54great athletic quarterback...
03:56That's right.
03:56...who could also use their legs to get things done.
03:59They all get hurt doing it.
04:01So, this is not like it's new to any of us.
04:03No.
04:03We've seen this play out before.
04:05He obviously had the concussion a few weeks ago.
04:07But he's actually fun to watch.
04:09Like, last night's game was largely unwatchable.
04:13Blow out early, 17-0 out of the gate before you get the touchdown pass over the middle from
04:18Jackson Dart to at least make it interesting.
04:21And if they'd made the field goal, you got a ball game at least.
04:23It's a one-score game, maybe going into halftime, which would have been great because it would
04:27have given us a reason to watch the second half.
04:29But the reality is that Jackson Dart is at least fun to watch.
