Transcript
00:00Trump's first 100 days in office.
00:04100 days of President Donald Trump, 100 evenings, give or take, of late night coverage.
00:10The Commander-in-Chief has provided plenty of material for hosts so far, with, we're guessing, more to come.
00:15The Hollow Reporter's Late Night Lately has watched it all and put together a one-stop shop for the most memorable moments.
00:21So let's take a look back at the funniest, strangest, and most poignant ways hosts have covered and poked fun at President Donald Trump's first 100 days in office.
00:31First up, TBS's Conan O'Brien, who took his show down to Mexico for his latest international special.
00:37Why Mexico? O'Brien explained that he chose it to take things in a more positive direction after Trump's rhetoric about building a wall to keep out bad hombres.
00:46If you donate 500 pesos, you get your name on a brick in the wall.
00:50Samantha Bee has not backed down on her criticism of Trump and his cabinet since he's taken office,
00:55but her by far most memorable bit about the president over the past few months has to be what she calls her 100% valid theory that Trump can't read.
01:04Russia took over vast swatches of land.
01:07Swatches of land? Okay.
01:09Jimmy Kimmel has managed to get in his Trump digs during monologues and Lie Witness News segments,
01:14but the climax of Kimmel's Trump takedowns may have been when he declared a February episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live
01:19to be Trump-free, ignoring the president completely.
01:23The president has been a regular topic on John Oliver's HBO show since his famous
01:27Make Donald Trumpf Again segment last summer, but since POTUS officially took office,
01:32Oliver has tried his best to avoid the topic with varying degrees of success.
01:36He did take on Trump's wiretap claim, dubbing them stupid Watergate,
01:40and has declared that the president, quote,
01:42made it clear that reality is not important to him, and his relationship with the truth should worry Americans.
01:4835, in fact, I even heard recently 42%.
01:52Well, well, which one is it then?
01:56Seth Meyers' Closer Look segment has become more and more focused on the president in the past few months,
02:01with one notable example being the Can We Believe Anything Trump Says edition.
02:05In it, Meyers examines Trump's way of undermining the press
02:09and the president's tendency to believe things only when they back up his own agenda.
02:14Nobody thought that!
02:16Stephen Colbert has done everything in his power to mock the president on the regular.
02:20He also let Jon Stewart come in to do some of his dirty work.
02:24And, of course, his conservative pundit alter ego, Stephen Colbert,
02:27has dropped by several times to address the new administration.
02:30Woo!
02:30Woo!
02:31Known for his musical bits, James Corden recently mocked the president and his cabinet
02:37with a Matilda-style Donald Trump musical.
02:39One segment that made waves was the poignant video created just after Trump initiated
02:43the first iteration of his travel ban.
02:45The clip, called Corden's Post-Ban Trip Through LAX,
02:49shows the host walking through the airport and ends with the message,
02:52freedom of movement should be this easy for all legal immigrants.
02:55Finally, ever since Jimmy Fallon infamously did this to Trump's hair,
02:59there's no way I'm touching my hair.
03:00No. Can we cut?
03:02Anyway, since then, the host has steered clear of any direct criticism or praise of Trump,
03:06but a few bits on the late-night show do break through,
03:09including when Fallon mocked the president's first press conference.
03:12You're all fake news. I hate you all very much.
03:15And thank you for being here.
03:17Those are the highlights, but you have to see the full clips and more late-night coverage
