Love, Lies and Lethal Injections: Nurse Daughter Kills Parents Over Inter-Caste Marriage Dispute

A shocking double murder has come to light in Vikarabad district of Telangana, where a young woman allegedly killed her own parents after they opposed her love marriage with a youth she met on Instagram.

The accused has been identified as Nakka Surekha, a resident of Yacharam village in Bantwaram mandal. She works as a nurse at a private nursing home.

According to police, Surekha had been in a relationship for the past two years with a youth she met through Instagram. However, her parents refused to accept the marriage as it was an inter-caste relationship. Angered by their opposition, Surekha allegedly planned their murder.

Police said the accused brought anaesthesia and sedative drugs from the nursing home where she worked. She reportedly told her parents that the injections were medicines for body pain and administered high-dose sedatives, which led to their deaths.

After the incident, Surekha informed her brother that both parents had died a natural death. However, suspicion arose, following which police conducted an investigation.

During questioning, Surekha allegedly confessed to murdering her parents. A case has been registered, and the accused has been taken into police custody. Further investigation is underway.
