00:00Year 1 enrollment for the 2027 academic year will be held on

00:05online with registration open from February 15th to March 31st.

00:10The ministry said registration would be held

00:15via its integrated system, which can be accessed at idme.moe.

00:20It said registration would be open to Malaysians.

00:25Children who are currently aged five to six are those born between January 2nd

00:302020 and December 31st 2021.

00:33In a statement, it said

00:35this is in line with the government's decision to allow six-year-olds to voluntarily enter Year 1.

00:40from 2027 without having to sit for any screening tests.

00:45Parents and caretakers will have to register an account under the ministry's integrated system.

00:50And update their personal information before submitting their applications in the set period.
