Transcript
00:00Congratulations! You're joining the cast this season. What was it like stepping onto this set?
00:05Wow, because I watched the show. So, yeah, I'm just like in the TV with the people I've been watching
00:10after doing a play and coming home or for rehearsals and coming home. And so it's like, it's really surreal.
00:17Tell me about your character and how they shake things up at UVA.
00:21Well, you know, there's a merger that happens at the end of season three.
00:26And he's one of the people that comes over in that merger.
00:30And so it's like this sort of uneasy marriage of two very different styles of organization trying to coexist.
00:39And so he's, you know, he's trying to climb, but we'll see, you know.
00:45This season is a two-year time jump from the previous one, 2024. Big year.
00:52How does this season tackle politics? And are we going to see any part of the election?
00:58Oh, well, I can't tell you that. But, you know, I think that this show does interact with politics in that,
01:11as you'll see probably early on, we live in a world where deepfakes are possible.
01:17And so that's something that I think politically we have to be on the lookout for, because what kind of damage could that do?
01:23And this show kind of starts to deal with that and ask some of those questions.
01:27They said that this season would be built as a reset of the show.
01:30So how would you say that this is maybe a new version of the morning show?
01:33Oh, well, I think that, you know, a lot of the, we're in a brand new world.
01:38We're sort of out beyond, you know, we're out, like, out of the bay and into the open ocean.
01:47And now there's no one at the top that you can blame anything on.
01:51It's like the people that were sort of fighting are now the people that are making the decisions.
01:56And that's an interesting place to be in.
01:58And so when things do go haywire, there's really no one to blame.
02:02And so that's interesting, I think.
02:04If you were to host your very own morning show, who would you pick to be your co-host?
02:11It could be anyone in the entire world.
02:14Oh.
02:16Oh, this person right here.
02:18Yeah.
02:19Yeah, we live together and we're married.
02:22So, yeah, that'll be, yeah, it'd be Allie.
02:26Okay, then I have a fun question for you.
02:28Allie, right?
02:28Okay, what would be the most heated topic that you guys would be able to debate as co-hosts?
02:36Heated topic?
02:39Oh, gosh, that would be...
02:42Somewhere between misogyny and logistics.
02:46Yeah, like how much logistics are really necessary?
02:49And is gender equity really feasible?
02:53I want to hear that conversation.
02:55Let's go live right now.
02:58Let's go live right now.
