00:00The team behind Iron Park relocated that steel band event from its original site at the Queen's Park Savannah to O2 Park in Chagaramas on Friday due to inclement weather on Thursday.
00:11O2 Park is the same venue for their Soka Till Sunrise Pet on Sunday.
00:15But there's another event during their music festival weekend that promises to showcase a different side of the business of Carnival.
00:23Hi, so my name is Shani Mitchell. I'm one of the event coordinators on the ground for the exciting WAW events team.
00:31Our market is pretty sought after. It's happening on Saturday the 24th at Napa from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
00:38And it's really a carefully curated event or market that we've gone through.
00:44It's only over 130 vendors to be expected with a variety of things.
00:49So it's a space that people come together. We're bringing together the local artisans, entrepreneurs, brands that are up and coming to curate a space where people could not only come and enjoy purchase, but feel the Carnival spirit.
01:05TV6 users sought further details given that the market has focused on small business owners since its inception.
01:12So we'll have some of our, some of the well-known, so we'll have from Immortelle Beauty, the beauty shop, we have some Carnival Monday wear, some 3D printing elements in the market.
01:27So, and a great initiative that we've partnered with Carnicycle for recycling of past elements, Carnival pieces, so making sure that we have a little bit of everything in there for everyone.
01:41The market, which is free to the public, takes place as not only those living in Trinidad and Tobago attend the events for the music festival weekend.
01:50We have seen an influx on a lot of foreigners. This, this attracts, it's a music festival. This is a big weekend for, for the WOW Events team.
01:59And we love the fact that we can curate this space in between the, the fetting to create a Carnival experience that is unique to, to that experience.
