00:05in what is expected to be the first trilateral talks since the start of Russia's war on Ukraine in 2022.
00:13The development comes after the Kremlin described recent talks with Donald Trump's envoys in Moscow as useful.
00:20U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are expected to fly in from Moscow
00:25following their overnight meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
00:29While Ukraine is sending senior officials, including the head of the National Security and Defense Council
00:36and the chief of the general staff, the Russian delegation will include its military intelligence chief.
00:43It remains unclear when the talks will formally begin,
00:46but Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says the meetings are expected to last two days.
00:52On Wednesday, Zelensky announced he had reached an agreement with Trump in Davos
00:56on future U.S. security guarantees for Ukraine.
01:00However, he said the future status of territory in eastern Ukraine remains unresolved.
