00:00I'M LAURA INGRAM, THIS IS THE INGRAM ANGLE FROM WASHINGTON TONIGHT, EUROPE'S POINTLESS
00:04TEMPER TANTRUM, THAT'S THE FOCUS OF TONIGHT'S ANGLE.
00:08ALL RIGHT, ONCE AGAIN, DONALD TRUMP AND HIS TEAM REMIND THE WORLD THAT THE UNITED STATES
00:13IS THE ONLY POWER CAPABLE OF HOLDING THE WEST TOGETHER BY PROTECTING EUROPE FROM ITS OWN
00:19STUPIDITY AND WEAKNESS.
00:21I HAVE TREMENDOUS RESPECT FOR BOTH THE PEOPLE OF GREENLAND AND THE PEOPLE OF DENMARK,
00:27TREMENDOUS RESPECT, BUT EVERY NATO ALLY HAS AN OBLIGATION TO BE ABLE TO DEFEND THEIR OWN
00:33TERRITORY AND THE FACT IS NO NATION OR GROUP OF NATIONS IS IN ANY POSITION TO BE ABLE TO
00:39SECURE GREENLAND OTHER THAN THE UNITED STATES.
00:44AND WHAT HAVE WE EVER REALLY ASKED OF NATO?
00:47FOR MOST OF ITS HISTORY, THE RELATIONSHIP HAS BEEN LOP-SIDED.
00:50NOW, THAT WAS GREAT FOR THE OTHER NATO COUNTRIES, BUT IT WAS A LOWSY DEAL FOR THE UNITED STATES,
00:56OUR TAXPAYERS.
00:57OTHER PRESIDENTS, OF COURSE, THEY JUST LET THE IMBALANCE SLIDE, BUT NOT TRUMP.
01:02I JUST SAY THIS, NATO HAS TREATED THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA VERY UNFAIRLY.
01:07WE NEVER ASKED FOR ANYTHING, WE NEVER GOT ANYTHING.
01:11WE ACTUALLY TOOK CARE OF THE NEEDS OF NATO FOR YEARS AND YEARS, WHICH I FELT WAS ALWAYS
01:15UNFAIR, SO I GOT NATO TO PAY, BECAUSE THEY'RE RICH COUNTRIES.
01:18YEAH, ALL TOLD, THEIR GDP IS ABOUT ON PAR WITH THE UNITED STATES.
01:22SO WHY COULDN'T THEY HAVE CONTRIBUTED MORE FOR THEIR OWN DEFENSE, UP UNTIL NOW AT LEAST?
01:27SO, AND YOU BET EUROPE IS STILL MAD ABOUT HAVING TO SPEND MORE OF THAT MONEY ON DEFENSE.
01:32THEY LOVE THE OLD DEAL, BUT AGAIN, BECAUSE OF THE TOUGH LOVE OF OUR PRESIDENT, OLD EUROPE IS
01:38BEING FORCED TO LOOK IN THE MIRROR.
01:40THE EURO ELITES ARE SO SNOOTY, THEY HAVE TO PUT ON A SHOW OF DEFIANCE TO SAVE FACE.
01:45I THINK IT'S SAD AND TOTALLY ABSURD THAT WE HAVE AN AMERICAN PRESIDENT WHO IS BLACKMAILING
01:53THE REST OF US TRYING TO GET A BIT OF LAND, PIECE OF LAND OR BUY IT THROUGH THREATS.
02:01IT'S A NEW LOW, SO TO SPEAK.
02:03WE WILL NEVER BACK TOWN.
02:05A NEW LOW?
02:07NOW, DOES SHE THINK WE'RE ABOUT TO TAKE NATIONAL SECURITY ADVICE FROM A SOCIALIST COUNTRY
02:13THAT ALLOWED ITSELF TO BE A DUMPING GROUND FOR HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF RADICAL ISLAMIC REFUGEES?
02:19I DON'T THINK SO.
02:20SO WHETHER WE'RE TALKING ABOUT SWEDEN OR THE UK OR FRANCE OR CANADA,
02:25LOOK, THROWING FITS ABOUT GREENLAND IS JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF FOOLS
02:30LOOKING AT A GIFT HORSE IN THE MOUTH.
02:33WE'RE BUILDING A GOLDEN DOME THAT'S GOING TO, JUST BY ITS VERY NATURE,
02:39GOING TO BE DEFENDING CANADA.
02:42CANADA GETS A LOT OF FREEBIES FROM US, BY THE WAY.
02:45THEY SHOULD BE GRATEFUL ALSO.
02:46CANADA LIVES BECAUSE OF THE UNITED STATES.
02:48REMEMBER THAT, MARK, THE NEXT TIME YOU MAKE YOUR STATEMENTS.
02:52BUT REMEMBER THAT CARNEY HIMSELF WAS KIND OF AN ACCIDENTAL LEADER OF CANADA.
02:58AND NOW HE'S JUST A LAUGHING STOCK.
03:00BECAUSE IT DOESN'T TAKE A GEOPOLITICAL GENIUS TO UNDERSTAND
03:03THAT A SECURE AMERICA MEANS A MORE SECURE NATO.
03:08THIS WOULD NOT BE A THREAT TO NATO.
03:11THIS WOULD GREATLY ENHANCE THE SECURITY OF THE ENTIRE ALLIANCE.
03:16WE WANT A PIECE OF ICE FOR WORLD PROTECTION, AND THEY WON'T GIVE IT.
03:21THEY HAVE A CHOICE.
03:22YOU CAN SAY YES, AND WE WILL BE VERY APPRECIATIVE.
03:27OR YOU CAN SAY NO, AND WE WILL REMEMBER.
03:32A STRONG AND SECURE AMERICA MEANS A STRONG NATO.
03:37OF COURSE IT DOES.
03:39AND THERE MAY BE AN UPSIDE HERE.
03:41SOME LEADERS AND FORMER LEADERS IN EUROPE MAY REALIZE,
03:46HMM, MAYBE WE DO HAVE TO THINK MORE OF OUR OWN INDEPENDENCE.
03:50THIS IS A WAKE-UP CALL, A BIGGER ONE THAN WE EVER HAD.
03:54AND I THINK THAT EUROPE IS GOING TO LOOK AT ITS STRENGTH,
03:59LOOK AT ITS WEAKNESSES, DO A BIG SWOT ANALYSIS,
04:02AND DECIDE WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO TO BE STRONG BY OURSELVES,
04:06TO BE MORE INDEPENDENT, TO RELY ON THE INTERNAL TRADE THAT WE DO WITH EACH OTHER,
04:10SO THAT WE CAN JUST NOT IGNORE, BUT AT LEAST BE PREPARED AND HAVE A PLAN B,
04:16JUST IN CASE THE NORMAL RELATIONSHIP IS NOT RESTORED.
04:19OKAY.
04:20YOU JUST CAN'T TAKE HER ALL THAT SERIOUSLY, THOUGH.
04:22WE FOUND OUT THAT SHE WALKED OUT OF A DINNER WHEN HOWARD LUTNICK
04:26WAS BASICALLY MAKING THE CASE FOR AMERICA FIRST BEING BETTER FOR NATO AND EUROPEAN COUNTRIES,
04:32FOR THEIR SECURITY.
04:33IF WE'RE STRONGER, THEY'RE GOING TO BE SAFER AND STRONGER.
04:35SHE GOT UP AND WALKED OUT, THEY ESSENTIALLY CANCELED THE DINNER AND SAID NO TO THE DESSERT.
04:41SO THAT'S HOW MATURE SHE IS.
04:43A FEW WEEKS AGO WHEN SLOW-WITTED PUNDITS WERE SAYING THAT TRUMP WASN'T SERIOUS ABOUT GREENLAND,
04:49THAT HE WAS JUST DOING IT TO STIR THE POT, HE WAS BEING PROVOCATIVE FOR THE SAKE OF BEING PROVOCATIVE,
04:53REMEMBER ALL THOSE COMMENTS?
04:55THE ANGLE TOLD YOU THAT TRUMP IS SERIOUS AND THAT IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF WHEN,
05:01NOT IF, WE TOOK DE FACTO CONTROL OF GREENLAND.
05:05AND THERE WERE A FEW SMART EUROPEANS WHO UNDERSTOOD WHAT WAS HAPPENING.
05:09IT'S ABOUT PROTECTING THE ARCTIC.
05:11PRESIDENT TRUMP IS RIGHT, OTHER LEADERS IN NATO ARE RIGHT, WE NEED TO DEFEND THE ARCTIC.
05:16WE KNOW THAT CHINA AND RUSSIA ARE INCREASINGLY ACTIVE IN THE ARCTIC.
05:20THERE ARE EIGHT COUNTRIES BORDERING ON THE ARCTIC.
05:23SEVEN ARE A MEMBER OF NATO.
05:25THERE'S ONLY ONE COUNTRY BORDERING ON THE ARCTIC OUTSIDE NATO, AND THAT'S RUSSIA.
05:29AND I WOULD ARGUE THERE IS A NINTH COUNTRY, WHICH IS CHINA,
05:32WHICH IS INCREASINGLY ACTIVE IN THE ARCTIC REGION.
05:35SO PRESIDENT TRUMP AND OTHER LEADERS ARE RIGHT, WE HAVE TO DO MORE THERE,
05:38WE HAVE TO PROTECT THE ARCTIC.
05:40AND IT'S ABOUT RESPECTING THE COUNTRY WHO PAYS THE LION SHARE OF THE BILLS.
05:45IN TERMS OF SECURITY, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA PAYING 65% FOR NATO AND EUROPEANS 35%,
05:55WE HAVE TO CONSIDER WHAT DONALD TRUMP WOULD LIKE TO SAY ABOUT THE SECURITY,
06:00BECAUSE HE'S RESPONSIBLE FOR SECURITY OF THE WORLD AS THE LEADER.
06:05ONCE AGAIN, I'M VERY PROUD TO BE HALF POLISH.
06:08AND TODAY IN SWITZERLAND, TRUMP ANNOUNCED THAT A FRAMEWORK FOR GREENLAND WAS ALREADY TAKING SHAPE.
06:15THE DEAL THAT PEOPLE JUMPED AT, REALLY FANTASTIC FOR THE USA,
06:22GETS EVERYTHING WE WANTED, INCLUDING ESPECIALLY REAL NATIONAL SECURITY AND INTERNATIONAL SECURITY.
06:28THE DEAL IS GOING TO BE PUT OUT PRETTY SOON.
06:33WE'LL SEE.
06:34IT'S RIGHT NOW A LITTLE BIT IN PROGRESS, BUT PRETTY FAR ALONG.
06:37SO, IT GETS US EVERYTHING WE NEEDED TO GET.
06:41THE PRESIDENT TAPPED J.D. Vance,
06:43MARCO RUBIO AND SPECIAL ENVOY STEVE WHITKOFF TO LEAD THOSE NEGOTIATIONS.
06:48SO, LOOK, WHEN THIS IS OVER, WE WILL HAVE CLARIFIED THE OWNERSHIP OF GREENLAND
06:54IN A WAY THAT'S GOING TO REDUND TO OUR SAFETY AND, THUS, THE SAFETY OF THE WEST.
06:59SO, PREVENTING HOSTILE POWERS FROM SHOOTING MISSILES OVER GREENLAND
07:03TO TARGET THE UNITED STATES OR OUR MILITARY ASSETS, THIS IS AN URGENT PRIORITY.
07:08AND, FRANKLY, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED DECADES AGO BY AMERICAN PRESIDENTS.
07:12AND, LONG BEFORE TRUMP CAME INTO OFFICE, HE UNDERSTOOD THAT PLEADING WITH EUROPE
07:17TO DO THE RIGHT THING WITH CHINA, WITH MILITARY SPENDING, WITH TRADE,
07:21PLEADING WITH EUROPE ACCOMPLISHES ZERO.
07:24YOU NEED TO EXERCISE LEVERAGE, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT HE DID WITH THE GREENLAND ISSUE.
07:29REMEMBER, NO OPTIONS WERE TAKEN OFF THE TABLE AND A TARIFF HIKE WAS FLOATED.
07:35SO, EUROPE THEN HUFFED AND POFED AND REACTED, FULMINATING WITH OUTRAGE, DIRE PREDICTIONS.
07:40AND, OF COURSE, AT THE END, THE EUROPEANS ARE COMING TO THE TABLE.
07:45AND THIS IS WHY CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR GAVIN NEWSOM WAS SO UPSET YESTERDAY
07:49AND WHY HE BEGGED EUROPE TO FIGHT TRUMP HARDER BECAUSE HE EVEN SAW THAT THIS WAS GOING TO BE A BIG WIN
07:55FOR TRUMP AND A BIG WIN FOR AMERICA.
07:59AND HE KNEW THE EUROPEANS WOULD CAVE AND NEGOTIATE SOME DEAL WITH TRUMP.
08:01SO, RULE OF THUMB.
08:02THE AMERICAN LEFT NEVER TAKES THE SIDE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IN A SITUATION SUCH AS THIS.
08:07SO, IT'S EMBARRASSING, REALLY, THAT AFTER WATCHING THIS MAN, DONALD TRUMP, FOR OVER A DECADE,
08:13THAT SO MANY SUPPOSED EXPERTS STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW PRESIDENT TRUMP OPERATES.
08:20THEY STILL DON'T GET IT.
08:22SO, ANYONE WHO PREDICTED THAT DONALD TRUMP WOULD DESTROY NATO, DONALD TRUMP IS GOING TO CRASH THE DOLLAR,
08:27HE'S GOING TO LEAVE US MORE VULNERABLE THAN UNDER BIDEN.
08:30THEY SHOULD NEVER, AND I MEAN NEVER, WORK IN POLITICAL COMMENTARY AGAIN.
08:36BECAUSE ONE YEAR INTO THIS TRUMP PRESIDENCY, AMERICA IS SAFER, AMERICA IS STRONGER, AMERICA IS RICHER, AMERICA IS FREER
08:44THAN WE WERE UNDER PRESIDENT AUTOPEN, UNDER PRESIDENT OBAMA, AND YES, UNDER PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH.
08:51BOTTOM LINE, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR ANY U.S. PRESIDENT TO MAKE THINGS BETTER FOR US HERE AT HOME
08:58WITHOUT STANDING UP TO THE REST OF THE WORLD WHEN OUR INTERESTS COLLIDE WITH THEIRS.
09:02SO TRUMP'S PREDECESSORS, THEY WERE TOO WORRIED ABOUT OFFENDING THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY AND NOT WORRIED ENOUGH ABOUT
09:10FIGHTING FOR US.
09:12AND THAT'S THE ANGLE.
09:13TIT A WAY IN IS MISSOURI SENATOR ERIC SCHMIDT.
09:15SENATOR, I KNOW YOU'RE ON ARMED SERVICES.
09:18YOU'VE BEEN TALKING TO YOUR SOURCES AT DAVOS, BEEN IN THESE MEETINGS.
09:22WHAT ARE YOU HEARING ABOUT THIS FRAMEWORK TO MAKE THIS GREENLAND DEAL A REALITY?
09:29WELL, I DON'T WANT TO GET TOO FAR IN FRONT OF WHERE THE WHITE HOUSE IS AT AND WHAT THEY WANT TO
09:34ANNOUNCE, BUT THIS GETS US EXACTLY WHERE WE WANT TO BE, WHICH IS THAT SECURITY THAT WE NEED
09:39TO PROTECT THE HOMELAND.
09:40IT CAN'T BE OVERSTATED, LAURA.
09:41YOU'VE TALKED ABOUT IT.
09:42I'VE TALKED ABOUT HOW IMPORTANT THAT REAL ESTATE IS, WHETHER IT'S OUR BALLISTIC MISSILE
09:47DEFENSE, THE ARCHITECTURE WE NEED FOR SPACE AS WE CONTINUE DOWN THAT ROAD, THE ARCTIC SEALANES
09:52THAT POTENTIALLY OPEN UP, CHINA, RUSSIA HAVE OPERATIONS OFF THE COAST OF GREENLAND.
09:57THERE'S TRANS-ATLANTIC CABLES RIGHT OFF THE COAST OF GREENLAND.
10:00SO IT DOES, IT GIVES US THE ABILITY TO PROTECT THE HOMELAND, THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE.
10:05IT ALSO, YOU KNOW, IS LIKELY TO LEAD TO RARE EARTH AND RARE MINERAL EXPLORATION, WHICH IS
10:12REALLY IMPORTANT.
10:13WE'RE WAY TOO RELIANT ON CHINA.
10:1580-90% OF ALL THOSE MATERIALS COME FROM CHINA FOR THINGS THAT WE NEED TO BUILD F-15s.
10:19THAT'S UNACCEPTABLE.
10:20SO I THINK IT WILL GO A LONG WAY, THE INVESTMENT TO SOLVE SOME OF THE SUPPLY CHAIN PROBLEMS WE
10:25HAVE WITH RARE EARTH.
10:26SO THAT PUTS AMERICA'S INTERESTS FIRST.
10:29THIS SORT OF POST-COLD WAR ORDER THAT PERMANENT WASHINGTON LOVES AND THE COCKTAIL PARTIES AND THEY TALK
10:35ABOUT ALL THIS STUFF.
10:36PRESIDENT TRUMP DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ANY OF THAT.
10:37HE CARES ABOUT PROTECTING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
10:39AND HE WENT INTO DAVOS AND WORKED A DEAL THAT WILL MAKE US SAFER.
10:43AND, YOU KNOW, SO WE TALKED ABOUT CHINA'S INTEREST.
10:46RUSSIA'S INTEREST WOULD BE HOW ICBMs COULD BASICALLY USE THAT AIR SPACE AND DO ENORMOUS LETHAL
10:56DAMAGE TO U.S. INTEREST TO THE UNITED STATES.
10:59AGAIN, IT'S SUCH A LARGE PIECE OF SECOND-LARGEST ISLAND IN THE WORLD.
11:03MOST OF IT FROZEN.
11:05A LOT OF MINERALS UNDERNEATH.
11:07BUT, AGAIN, IT'S A NECESSITY.
11:09AND THE SWEDISH FOREIGN MINISTER TALKING ABOUT HOW THIS IS BLACKMAIL.
11:14BLACKMAIL WOULD BE TAKING SOMETHING JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN TAKE IT AND YOU WANT TO HURT THE OTHER
11:19PEOPLE.
11:20WITHOUT AMERICA, WHAT IS NATO?
11:22NATO IS AN ACRONYM.
11:24WELL, THAT'S RIGHT.
11:26AND YOU LOOK AT THE SINCE 1980, THE IMPALANCE BETWEEN WHAT WE SPEND IN OTHER NATO COUNTRIES
11:31IS $22 TRILLION.
11:33RIGHT?
11:34SO THERE'S A REBALANCING THAT HAS TO HAPPEN.
11:36EUROPE HAS TO STEP UP IN A MUCH MORE MEANINGFUL WAY FOR THEIR OWN DEFENSE.
11:40SO WE CAN FOCUS ON THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE IN THE RISE OF CHINA IN THE INDO PACIFIC.
11:44THAT'S JUST THE TRUTH.
11:46THAT IS A REALITY THAT IF ANYBODY HAS BEEN PAYING ATTENTION, YOU TALK ABOUT IT, I TALK ABOUT
11:49IT, BUT IT'S AMAZING THE SORT OF STAGES OF GRIEF THAT I THINK A LOT OF OUR NATO ALLIES
11:54HAVE GOED THROUGH TO ACCEPT THAT REALITY.
11:56THIS ISN'T 1960 ANYMORE, RIGHT?
11:58WE ARE MOVING TOWARDS AN ERA WHERE THIS GREAT POWERS COMPETITION BETWEEN US AND COMMUNIST
12:03CHINA IS HOW THE 21ST CENTURY IS GOING TO BE DECIDED.
12:05THE EARLY DETECTION THAT WE NEED TO HAVE IN THE ARCTIC FOR OUR OWN DEFENSE IS VERY, VERY
12:10IMPORTANT.
12:11AND THAT'S WHY PRESIDENT TRUMP WAS SO FOCUSED ON IT.
12:14WHEN I WAS TALKING TO HIM, I KNEW, JUST LIKE YOU DID, THIS WAS THE REAL DEAL.
12:17HE WASN'T MESSING AROUND HERE.
12:18HE KNOWS HOW IMPORTANT IT IS, AND THAT'S WHY HE IS WORKING AS HARD AS HE WAS WORKING.
12:23SENATOR, ARE YOU NOT, I MEAN, I WAS LAUGHING ALL YESTERDAY, PEOPLE LIKE SELLING OFF THE MARKET,
12:28SELLING OFF, LIKE IF YOU SOLD OFF YOUR STOCKS YESTERDAY BECAUSE YOU THOUGHT THERE WAS GOING TO BE
12:33SOME ARMAGEDDON OF THE ALLIANCE BECAUSE OF GREENLAND, LIKE YOU'RE THE BIGGEST FOOL OUT THERE.
12:38I'M NO EXPERT IN THE STOCK MARKET.
12:40I'VE GOT A GREAT SHOW.
12:42I KNOW YOU'RE UNDERSTANDING A DOCTION.
12:44WE'RE THE BIGGEST FOOTH.
12:46WE WERE SO SMART AND ANCIAL ITIOTS.
12:47AND TRUMP WAS LIKE, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, WE'RE GOING TO SIT AND DO A DEAL,
12:49IT'S GOING TO BE GREAT.
12:51THESE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN WATCHING THIS MAN FOR YOU .
12:54THE MANEUVERING THAT HE'S DOING TO GET TO AN OUTCOME AT THE END OF THE DAY WHEN THEY WRITE THE HISTORY
12:59BOOKS, THIS DOCTRIN, THIS FOREIGN POLICY PIVOT THAT PRESIDENT TRUMP HAS BEEN ABLE TO EXECUTE,
13:04THAT'S LONG OVERDUE IS EXACTLY IN LINE WITH WHERE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE AT.
13:08standing up for us. It isn't just giving things away to other people halfway around the world.
13:14The homeland. We love our home. We want to protect our home. And he wants to protect our home.
13:19Senator, great to see you. Already jockeying for 2028, Gavin Newsom is flitting around Davos
13:25sounding like a spurned snow bunny. He's claiming that Trump got him disinvited from speaking.
13:32Then after Trump's speech today, where he masterfully reset the table on Greenland
13:36and touted America's economic turnaround, Newsom offered this brilliant analysis.
13:41You learned nothing. There was nothing offered there. It was at times boorish,
13:47but even by Trump standards-ish. So it was just remarkable in its inconsequential nature.
13:57I expected more from him. I really did.
14:00And then doing his best mean girl thing, Newsom tried to make Donald mad by, of course,
14:08spooning with billionaire Alex Soros, who called Newsom the real star of Davos.
14:13But let's not forget that Soros, that whole crew and California Democrats have been scheming
14:18together for some time now. Governor Newsom, who strikes me as Patrick Bateman meets Sparkle Beach
14:24Kin, may be the only Californian who knows less about economics than Kamala Harris.
14:31He's here this week with his billionaire sugar daddy, Alex Soros. He is here hobnobbing with
14:39the global elite while his California citizens are still homeless. Shame on him. He is too smug,
14:47too self-absorbed, and too economically illiterate to know anything.
14:54Brutal. Now, given Newsom's disastrous record in the Golden State, as Secretary Besson just said,
14:59and the damage that Soros' DAs have done across the country, I mean, this kind of is an axis of evil
15:07and stupidity. But funding those progressive DA campaigns, Soros and his dad, together,
15:13they've coddled criminals, destroyed public safety coast to coast. Of course, Phillies,
15:19Larry Krasner, murderate their sword under him, George Gascon, who got rid of cash bail,
15:25New York's Alvin Bragg, I mean, he gave sweetheart deals to killers. We all remember that.
15:29And we all saw what he tried to do to President Trump, which I bet sugar daddy Soros was on board with.
15:35And we're certainly not going to forget what Alex said last year at Davos, as usual, lying.
15:40And we talked about things in the United States, like, you know, like checks and balances,
15:45which aren't written anywhere, but are customs. And one man, Donald Trump, literally came in and
15:51just took that, you know, took that, took that all away. Took it all away. Oh, there's no court
15:57system in the United States, Alex. OK. But especially when he trashes democracy, his eloquence is,
16:04um, uh, yeah, you know, um, overwhelming. When I see this, you know, when I look at this, um,
16:13you know, um, you know, uh, more globally regarding, regarding, you know, regarding democracy,
16:18I also say to myself, when was this great time that everybody got along so well and, you know,
16:26things were going so, so great. I mean, I think, you know, um, um, um, you know, the, um, you know,
16:34I think that we really have to be careful here in, you know, in this nostalgia, uh, for a time,
16:40uh, you know, for a time past. I had to, I had to diagram that sentence about 10 times to figure
16:46out what the heck he was saying. Here with us, Alex Marlow, Breitbart editor-in-chief. Alex, uh,
16:52uh, well, what does this say about Newsom's political ambitions that he's decided to,
17:01you know, strut around Davos with Alex Soros? Yeah, he thinks the way to win a presidential
17:06primary right now is not to govern effectively. It's to fly around the world and hobnob with rich
17:11Democrat donors. And he's probably right. But as a Californian, I mean, what is my interest as a
17:16constituent that have, have the governor fly around the world talking to globalists? It's
17:21the half of LA burned down. The homelessness is off the charts. Laura, it took me an hour and 20
17:26minutes to drive 19 miles today. Where is the high-speed rail this guy has been promising his
17:30whole career? That's the equivalent in California of one of those Minnesota leering centers with no
17:34children. It's all a big rift. It's a fraud. And what does this guy know about the economy?
17:39We had a surplus. He blew all of it. Why is he in economics for him? And Alex Soros,
17:44you did something really important there, Laura. You showed his Instagram. You have to go to his
17:48Instagram. He has a murderer's row, a trophy case of all the Democrats he's bought off. He puts
17:54pictures of all of them. If you want to know who's been bought off by the Soroses, just go to that
17:58Instagram page and you can see all of them. And Mom Donnie is one of them as well. Remember,
18:03he appeared with Alex Soros in a picture on Instagram. I think we may have even talked about
18:08it at the time. So he knows what he's doing. I mean, the Soros crew, they know what they're
18:13doing. They've done enormous damage to the United States. And they think that is the way to win,
18:18destroy the United States to win the United States?
18:21Yeah. And their latest crusade right now has been trying to destroy ice. They're funding a lot of
18:26the anti-ice uprising that's going on. And they spent a lot of their time trying to spring
18:31illegal alien criminals, specifically helping illegal alien criminals avoid deportation.
18:36Of course, this is trying to subvert the United States and our sovereignty and our ability to
18:40govern as a coherent country. That's what the Soroses are all about. And they're to be taken
18:45very seriously. George Soros was the most effective left-wing activist of this century.
18:49And his son is going to carry that torch. And any of those people on that Instagram,
18:53consider them bought off. Alex, you're the best. Thank you very much.
18:57And while Newsom is palling around at Davos with his BFF, it looks like he has a new problem on his
19:02hands. Independent journalist Nick Shirley was on the Hill today testifying about the fraud and abuse
19:07he's helped uncover in Minnesota and says, Newsom, whoa, better watch out.
19:13Have you seen any signs there that sort of are similar to what aroused your suspicions in Minnesota?
19:18Yeah. And fraud in California might be worse than the fraud in Minnesota.
19:21What makes you say that? Well, $24 billion went missing for homelessness.
19:26They've been trying to build this train for years, yet there's hardly anything to prove
19:30for that. Fires.
19:33Nick Shirley is here exclusively to tell us more. Nick, what you've discovered in Minnesota
19:40finally made people pay attention. So what are your plans to expose fraud in California?
19:48Well, I got to be a little secret about that because you don't know. You wouldn't be,
19:52you'd be surprised to know how dangerous exposing fraud is. I never thought fraud,
19:57exposing fraud would become something so controversial. But yes, fraud will be exposed
20:00in California, will be exposed all across the United States because we're learning that there's
20:05so much fraud that's taking place, whether it be through daycares or these projects like that
20:09high speed light rail that Newsom's been trying to build for years.
20:12Are you surprised how easy it is? It's like taking candy from a baby, the federal government
20:20or state government, when you have these politicians and career bureaucrats who really
20:26have no incentive to stop the fraud or actually have a political incentive to keep the gravy train
20:31rolling here.
20:32Well, the only reason it could be so easy is because somebody has to be getting kickbacks
20:36because if anyone else was to give away a million dollars to your next door neighbor or to
20:42some other rando, you'd want to know where that money is going. And so it has to be,
20:47there has to be some sort of reason why they're allowing this fraud to happen. It's not just
20:52because it's some random NGO. Somebody has to be getting kickbacks.
20:55Now, you said it's dangerous for you out there. We've seen the videos and people screaming at
21:01me and so forth. But what have you had to deal with?
21:04I mean, your house gets doxxed. People try to hack in your social media accounts. People
21:13start calling your family members and you have to go everywhere 24-7 security. It's just not
21:19the same anymore. And it kind of sucks, to be honest, because like I said, I was just exposing
21:24fraud. And then you see all this hatred come at you for doing a giant public service for America
21:30where the majority of Americans are super happy. I'd say 99 percent. But then you have that crazy
21:351 percent. I just get super upset because they're they're the fraudsters.
21:40So given what you've exposed, Nick, what do you say to young conservatives who want to make a
21:48difference out there and see parts of their country slipping away?
21:53I think the biggest thing is knowing that there is absolute truth in this world. And the truth of
21:58this world is fraud is fraud and fraud is bad, for example. And you can go and name some other
22:03truths as well. But when you know that what you're doing is right, you really shouldn't have to fear
22:07anything. And so like me, I don't fear it because I know I'm not doing anything wrong, because I know
22:13I'm seeking the truth. And I think that's important for people to question things and seek for that truth
22:19in order to really get a better understanding of what's actually happening. That's the only way
22:22we're going to know if the Leering Center is a real daycare or not, for example. But I think just
22:28going out and doing stuff and making stuff happen and not waiting for a story to come to you actually
22:34going to get a story. That's a that's a eureka moment. Nick, I think we were one of the first to
22:39have you on national television. It seems like a million years ago to saving taxpayers money with all
22:45these better economic policies. But something that I don't think gets talked about enough
22:49is that he's actually saving American lives, too. New data from the CDC shows that drug overdose deaths
22:57in the United States plummeted more than 20 percent over the past year alone. Meanwhile,
23:03Democrats, of course, they don't have any policies. For them, it's all about rage baiting. It's all
23:09about smears. It's all about insults. I'm looking at all options. All of our options
23:15must be on the table from impeachment, the 25th Amendment to winning elections.
23:19What he wants is ultimately to control American cities because he wants to affect the elections
23:25in 2026. They wish to get us back as close to slavery as they can possibly get us to
23:31without violating because the constitutional law can't do it.
23:37Here to react, Laura Trump, host of My View with Laura Trump. Laura, great to see you.
23:42So mental decline, they're saying he's going to cancel elections. He's going to bring back slavery.
23:49Okay. You know him better than most people. Does that sound like President Trump to you?
23:56It's completely crazy, Laura. All of this stuff. These are the same people, by the way,
24:00who tried to convince everybody during the 2024 campaign and election that if Donald Trump won,
24:06he was going to put gay and interracial couples in internment camps. Don't forget about that,
24:11ladies and gentlemen. The problem the Democrats are having, Laura, is, as you said,
24:16they have offered nothing to America. In fact, it's their bad policies that this president is having
24:22to dig us out of. You know, they are so severely suffering from Trump derangement syndrome.
24:28Obviously, all of them, and the only people who are happy about that are probably their therapists
24:32who are getting rich off of these individuals because it's an incurable syndrome. We all know
24:37that. The lives saved by this president, though, I'm so glad, Laura, you are talking about this.
24:42Thank you. There were around 100,000 deaths a year by illicit drug overdoses, 20% decline in that.
24:49That's 20,000 lives here in the United States of America that this president has saved. Think
24:55about the people, the criminals he's getting out of this country, the lives he's saving by doing that.
24:59The wars he's ended around the world, the lives he's saved by doing that. I would argue this president
25:04has probably saved more lives around the world than anyone else single-handedly in my lifetime.
25:09But the Democrats are going to continue down this path. And the problem they're also going to have
25:13is whenever the one big, beautiful bill comes into effect in full by this spring and summer,
25:20as all the experts have predicted, they're going to have to stop talking about affordability.
25:23So get ready for more of this craziness to ramp up. They're going to sling a lot of insults around
25:28because they have nothing else to run on. And I hope the American people are paying close attention.
25:32Well, and the funny thing is, is that you have all these former Trump officials who
25:38I never even met in the White House in the first Trump term, but I guess they had some role,
25:43you know, Stephanie Grisham. I wouldn't recognize her if I saw her on the street, but she's like,
25:47oh, the Trump speech shows us that he's slipping. Oh, that shows that we need to,
25:52you know, I'm just paraphrasing, you know, 25th Amendment.
25:54Yeah, well, all you need to know is that close to 90%, I think, of the signatures given during
26:03the Biden administration were done via auto pen. This president that we have right now,
26:07the 47th, has all of his faculties about him. He literally had a three-hour delay getting to
26:12Davos last night because there was a problem with the plane. He went there, he schooled every single
26:17person in that audience about how they ought to be running their countries, about why America is back.
26:22You saw it. I loved every single second of this. He exuded strength on the world stage,
26:27which is something we were lacking for far too long. They can talk all they want,
26:32but the proof is in the pudding. The American people feel it. You can see it with this president
26:35every single day. Business is pouring in. The drug cartels are shut out. This is a great,
26:40this is a great dynamic. Lara, always great to see you. Thanks so much. And coming up,
26:45Trump roast Macron at Davos, plus Michelle Obama's warning to women who want to run for president.
26:49Raymond Arroyo, scene and unseen, next.
26:52Time for seen and unseen, where we reveal the stories behind the headlines. For that,
26:56we turn to Fox News contributor Raymond Arroyo. All right, Raymond, French president Emmanuel Macron
27:01was seen sporting some Ray-Bans during his address indoors at the World Economic Forum.
27:09Well, look, so when President Trump arrived for his big speech today,
27:13who do you think he had to mention, Laura? Macron.
27:18When I called up Emmanuel Macron, I watched him yesterday with those beautiful sunglasses.
27:24What the hell happened?
27:32I think it's a medical issue, correct?
27:34Well, I know, but at first I thought he was taking a cue from Joe Biden, you know, or, or,
27:39or maybe Ms. Macron had another spirited interaction with her hubby. Remember that in the plane?
27:45But he's actually suffering from broken blood vessels for his eyes. So
27:49he's just trying to spare us all the, you know.
27:51He was doing a Joe Biden, Joe Biden impersonation though, right? The only thing he's missing was the bomber jacket.
27:58But I've had that. Like, have you ever had that where your eye gets, and it's weird,
28:03it just gets blood red? Have you ever had that? I've had that. I mean, I've had, I've had red eyes,
28:07but not pink eyes. Sam just said, okay, but you don't have to wear the blue mirrors. That's a good
28:14point, Sam. He's like, what's the need for that? It's a little over the top. Yeah. Well, it's better
28:19than a patch, I guess. But look, speaking of cover-ups, it's the interview no one asked for, Laura.
28:25Michelle Obama went on Alex Cooper's podcast, Call Her Daddy, and doubled down on all the reasons she didn't run
28:32for president, and no other woman should either. There are, there are men out there that were not
28:38going to vote for a woman. You know, that's, you, people have had those conversations, right? Look,
28:44for all the young women that we're talking to, keep, keep climbing. Just be strong in it and know that
28:52you may come up short because maybe we are, maybe we aren't. But keep going. Be strong. Be strong.
28:59Yeah. But how about if you come up short, just keep going. This is called Michelle Obama
29:05becoming defeatist. I mean, come on. Her husband was the first black president elected. We've had
29:11an American elected pope. Achievements have been unlocked. Michelle, be more positive. There's
29:16possibilities here. Don't, don't crush every village dream just because you can't do it.
29:21Is that way? Is that modern day feminism? Don't try. It could be hard. Could be difficult.
29:26Right. Don't try. Just give up now. How did Maloney become president? How did Margaret
29:30Thatcher become prime minister? I mean, this is crazy. All right. Michelle's bragging a sense
29:35of entitlement. I think should make her what? First lady, worst lady. People would be like, well,
29:42how do you know what to do in this role? And to me, it was clear that, oh my God, you,
29:47you don't, you don't know anything about what I did before I came here. I went to Princeton and Harvard.
29:53I mean, I practiced law. I was an assistant to the mayor in Chicago in the course of this whole
29:59election. And you now see me as just Barack Obama's wife. Oh, an academic pedigree. Yeah,
30:09they're going to have to change the podcast name to call her Maddie. I mean, is there any joy left
30:13with Michelle Obama? Don't you feel bad for poor Barack Obama? You know, at one point she said she'd
30:19like to change him, but she can't because she can't control him and he can't control her.
30:23That's obvious. Actress Frances Fisher, Laura, and her progressive partners,
30:28they staged a walkout yesterday to protest Trump.
30:33I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore.
30:37On January 20th, we are walking out to free America.
30:40And walking in to remove the regime. Or walking out of work, walking out of school.
30:47Who is that? I don't even know who these people are.
30:50But these are all activists. But if you didn't hear about the walkouts, Laura,
30:53it's probably because the protesters walked out on the protest.
30:57When I say free, you say D.C. Free.
31:01D.C. Free.
31:03D.C. Free.
31:05D.C.
31:07All right, this was just a practice. So we're going to do that again.
31:11That's catchy.
31:13This is hopeless. Well, I mean, part of the dealer, you heard the pitch that they were saying,
31:19you got to walk out of the workplace, walk out of school. And then we're going to walk into offices
31:23to get Trump thrown out of office. People didn't know what to do. They were walking in and walking
31:29out. So they decided to stay in place. But I was going to say, but the workplace without them
31:33is probably a lot more efficient. And that would assume that they're working when they're inside.
31:39I mean, as far as when I was in Minneapolis, I'm like, what are you guys doing? I'm being paid
31:42right now. So, you know, that's just, that's kind of. None of this made sense. You got to have a
31:48clear mandate if you're going to do a protest. Just do one thing. But you can't have people do
31:52contradictory things at the same time. Walk in, walk out. So when you do that, everybody stays
31:57put. That's what happened here. A failure of even a protest. Not good. Not good. Now I'm mad as
32:03hell because the protest was so lousy. Raymond, say it. Say it with me. Free.
32:09Dumb. D.C.
32:12Dumb.
32:14I was trying to get you to do free D.C.
32:16Very dumb.
32:17But this is what I said at the Minneapolis protest I was at. I just went up to them.
32:22They got very upset. I said, you need better chance.
32:24None of these rhyme. They have no rhythm. And that's when they started screaming shame,
32:29you know, disgrace to the human race. I'm like, that still doesn't do it for me.
32:33I mean, it just doesn't. Anyway, Raymond, with all this creative power of Hollywood,
32:36they can't come up with a decent chant. Raymond, thank you, my friend.
32:40Walk in, walk out. And coming up, the one simple thing you can do to protect yourself
32:45against the flu and other respiratory viruses, Dr. Siegel, is next.
32:53Excuse me. There's nothing worse than a cough that won't go away. And we know RSV and the flu
32:59are raging right now. But to avoid the misery, a new study says a pocket full of sunshine may help.
33:05But Angle viewers, you should have already known that because almost six years ago,
33:10our COVID medicine cabinet cabinet touted the benefits of sun and vitamin D.
33:16Take your vitamin D, take your zinc, wash your hands, and let's let the science,
33:21not press releases, decide how we should proceed.
33:25Vitamin D is a completely safe supplement, and it's beneficial for keeping the immune system
33:31working reasonably well.
33:32Let me tell you, if you take vitamin D, this disease is nothing.
33:38And now this new Oxford study confirming that a daily dose of vitamin D can help protect you
33:43from the flu. People who are vitamin D deficient were 33% more likely to get admitted to the hospital
33:50with a respiratory tract infection.
33:53Here's your discuss with Dr. Mark Siegel, Fox News Senior Medical Analyst,
33:56author of The Miracles Among Us.
33:59Doctor, how much vitamin D should we be taking?
34:02First of all, it's a miracle vitamin.
34:04It's a super vitamin.
34:06And with the people you just showed were right,
34:08that it definitely decreased severity of COVID.
34:10It was useful, very useful during COVID, as was zinc.
34:13Zinc stops viruses from replicating, and vitamin D is a super immune vitamin.
34:19It revs up the immune system, and it tells the immune system, don't attack our cells,
34:24go after foreign cells.
34:26It works together with vitamin C.
34:28Now, how much of it you should take?
34:30The first thing you should do is your doctor should be testing you for it.
34:33Because, Laura, 40% of people are vitamin D deficient.
34:38I think it's more than that.
34:39I test every single patient for it.
34:41And I don't tell them to go out and get it in the sunshine over there,
34:44because then I worry about skin cancer.
34:46I give them a supplement.
34:48I give a lot of my patients these supplements, and I monitor their levels.
34:52And they say I feel more energy.
34:53Their blood pressure goes down.
34:55They fight off infections better.
34:57And what you should take, to answer your question, finally,
35:00is somewhere around 2,000 to 5,000 units a day.
35:04I start with 2,000 units a day, and I recommend it for a lot of people.
35:09And it definitely decreases your risk of severe flu.
35:12Yeah, they found that in senior centers,
35:15convalescent rehab facilities where elderly are housed,
35:20they're woefully deficient in vitamin D.
35:24And that's, I mean, that is devastating.
35:26I mean, that's just so simple.
35:28All elderly people need to think about taking vitamin D.
35:33And if they can't care for themselves,
35:35their supposed caregivers at these facilities need to do it.
35:38I think we're also talking about a larger issue here is
35:41we go really quickly to pharmaceuticals.
35:43We really, and I like them, but we go really quickly to talk about shots.
35:46But we don't talk about basic nutritional needs.
35:50Vitamin C also bolsters the immune system.
35:52And you just said something else about nursing homes.
35:55We sequester people.
35:56They're in rooms.
35:57They never go out.
35:58They don't see other people.
36:00They don't commune.
36:00And yeah, 20 minutes, a half hour, an hour of sunshine a day
36:03would be amazing for their self-esteem and for their feeling.
36:07You know, that warehousing of people is disgusting.
36:10Vitamin D is a super hormone.
36:12I want almost everybody to take it.
36:14I want everybody to ask their doctor about it.
36:16Dr. Siegel, really quickly, you and I have talked about marijuana, the scourge of marijuana
36:21for years.
36:24And now the medical marijuana lie is finally being exposed.
36:27Researchers analyzed three types of product.
36:30Those with THC, CBD, and a combo THC CBD items found that none of these three options reduce pain
36:36any more than placebo medications.
36:39Doctor, are you surprised?
36:40I just spoke to Kevin Hill about that.
36:42It was a senior author on that study from Harvard.
36:44I thought he was going to say, oh, there's a use for this.
36:47He said, no, it's a third or a fourth line agent.
36:49No use at all.
36:50A highly respected head of addiction psychiatry at Harvard agrees with us.
36:55And we're Ivy Leaguers too, Laura.
36:57But still, I mean, your law degree from University of Virginia notwithstanding,
37:01this guy is on the right team.
37:03It's a terrible, cannabis is terrible for you.
37:06Man, Dr. Siegel, I think the president has heard a lot of false information about this.
37:11And we get trash for it, and I don't care.
37:13It doesn't bother me.
37:14It doesn't bother me.
37:14It doesn't bother me.
