00:00And welcome to Hannity. We begin tonight with this Fox News alert. Tonight, President Trump takes Davos and the world by storm, bringing some much-needed truth to Europe's pompous, out-of-touch leaders. And tonight, it does appear that the president will be coming back to our country, the good old USA, with a preliminary deal for Greenland. And coming up, we'll play Donald Trump's best moments, and there were a lot of them from Davos. That's straight ahead. Also, we'll introduce you to the biggest losers at
00:29this week's conference, including snake oil salesman Al Gore. We're going to show you his predictions and show you how wrong he's been. And somehow, he still gets invited, despite lying for decades about climate change. And then, of course, there's the full-time podcaster Tweety Bird, Trump stalker, part-time governor, if it's even part-time, Gavin Newsom, utterly humiliated on the world stage by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessett. Take a look.
01:00Governor Newsom, who strikes me as Patrick Bateman meets Sparkle Beach Ken, may be the only Californian who knows less about economics than Kamala Harris.
01:11Ooh, checkmate, and it gets better. You'll definitely want to stay tuned for the full clip. That's coming up. And later, congressional Democrats are now joining Republicans, now advancing a resolution that will hold Bill and Hillary Clinton in contempt of Congress. Remember, Peter Navarro, Bannon, they went to jail for contempt of Congress.
01:29But we begin with the president's very busy day in Europe. And here now with a full rundown, our friend Kevin Cork. Kevin, what a day. The number, I'll be playing the one-liners, one hit after another. It was a great day for the president today, in my view.
01:46Yeah, well, it was quite the day indeed, Sean. The president, frankly, and this is the big headline, he put it in the simplest terms possible.
01:53The U.S. acquisition of Greenland is a very small price to pay for the 80 years of safety and security that the U.S. has given NATO and our European allies.
02:02Now, whether or how we actually get there still remains to be seen, though. The president did rule out the use of force. He also canceled pending tariffs.
02:12And he suggested, Sean, that a framework to solve the issue is finally in the works, writing this on True Social, in case you missed it,
02:18based upon a very productive meeting that I have had with the Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte, we have formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic region.
02:30This solution, if consummated, will be a great one for the United States of America and all NATO nations.
02:37So, at least for now, this deal eases tensions over the control of Greenland, which, of course, the president has aggressively sought to wrest control of from Denmark, citing national security concerns.
02:49The deal that people jumped at, really fantastic for the U.S.A., gets everything we wanted, including especially real national security and international security.
03:02I think tonight was a good night, and we have a good agreement to really start working on these issues, and that means that we both agree.
03:11Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Special Envoy Steve Whitcoff will spearhead the negotiations and then report directly to the president on the progress of those talks.
03:23I thought it was a brilliant day, Sean.
03:25The president seemed to be in his element, despite the lack of sleep because of the change of aircraft last night, and I thought he hit to all fields, and certainly, let's just say, hitting some European leaders, some harder than others, though, to be fair.
03:39Kevin, putting aside all politics, he's been on the world stage for 11 years, and I've said this over and over again.
03:45He's in a forever state, constant state, never-ending state of negotiation, and I said that about Greenland, and nobody was really paying attention.
03:55Oh, thank God, he's not going to invade Greenland.
03:58Yeah, you can have it now.
04:00It's pretty funny.
04:01Can't make it up.
04:02Yes, indeed.
04:02All right, Kevin Quirk in Washington tonight.
04:05Now, it is a story we have seen play out a million times.
04:08President Trump gets mocked by the media mob, Democrats, while arrogant world leaders look on with great dismay and panic, and then President Trump prevails, showing his critics that he was right all along.
04:21But they did this when the president said they ought to up their ante, pay their fair share with NATO, that they would stop abusing and tariffing us, and then he tariffed them.
04:31And you see the same thing unfolding as it relates to Greenland.
04:35Tonight, the president's doubters were once again proven wrong.
04:39Now, this preliminary deal for Greenland is a big deal, and it is now real and officially on the table.
04:45And as the president points out, this deal is permanent.
04:49Take a look.
04:49The deal that people jumped at, really fantastic for the USA, gets everything we wanted, including especially real national security.
05:01It's a long-term deal.
05:04It's the ultimate long-term deal.
05:06And I think it puts everybody in a really good position, especially as it pertains to security and minerals and minerals.
05:13How long will the deal be, Mr. President?
05:17Infinite.
05:18If you speak for Denmark, if you speak for Denmark, there is no timeline, but it's forever.
05:24All right, joining us now with more on the ground.
05:26He's in Greenland tonight.
05:27Lucas Tomlinson is with us.
05:30Lucas, a lot of ice there, but also it looks like a deal on the table.
05:34How are people reacting?
05:35People are pretty happy, Sean.
05:39Some are uneasy.
05:40They want to see the terms of this framework agreement that has been announced from President Trump
05:44and his decision to call off those threats of levying tariffs on some European allies.
05:49The meeting and agreement came together after the president met with NATO Secretary General Mark Ruta.
05:55Here was the NATO Secretary General earlier with Brett Baer.
05:58What I don't hear is Greenland still, is it still under the Kingdom of Denmark?
06:05In this framework deal?
06:09That issue did not come up anymore in my conversations tonight with the president.
06:13We very much focused on what do we need to do to make sure that that huge Arctic region,
06:19where change is taking place at the moment, where the Chinese and Russians are more and more active,
06:25how we can protect that.
06:28Now, President Trump says this Greenland strategic location that got his attention is home to a U.S.
06:33Space Force base 930 miles north of where I'm standing in the capital of Nuke.
06:39President Trump says it's critical to defending the United States from potential Russian nukes.
06:44And many of the residents here, Sean, are very happy here in Greenland that this framework agreement
06:50has been announced.
06:51And they're very pleased that President Trump has called off any plans to use force on the largest island in the world.
06:57And as you mentioned, 80 percent of this island is covered by ice and 80 percent above the Arctic Circle as well, Sean.
07:03You look pretty warm, though.
07:04You don't you don't even have a hat on.
07:06Lucas, we appreciate that report.
07:09All right.
07:09Now, tonight, an important message.
07:10Don't ever underestimate Europe's ability to screw things up.
07:15Historically, as a continent, their decision making, it has been atrocious.
07:19Thankfully, President Trump, he is delivering much needed perspective.
07:23Take a look.
07:23The explosion of prosperity and conclusion and progress that built the West did not come from our tax codes.
07:34It ultimately came from our very special culture.
07:37This is the precious inheritance that America and Europe have in common.
07:42We share it.
07:43We have to defend that culture and rediscover the spirit that lifted the West from the depths of the dark ages to the pinnacle of human achievement.
07:52We believe deeply in the bonds we share with Europe as a civilization.
07:57I want to see it do great.
07:59Europe and those countries have to do their thing.
08:01They have to get out of the culture that they've created over the last 10 years.
08:06It's horrible what they're doing to themselves.
08:08They're destroying themselves.
08:10It's beautiful, beautiful places.
08:12We want strong allies, not seriously weakened ones.
08:15We want Europe to be strong.
08:17Now, Europe is destroying itself from within while ignoring major threats abroad and taking America, of course, for granted, not any longer under Donald Trump.
08:27For example, here's what the president said about Denmark and their resistance to a Greenland deal.
08:33Take a look.
08:33In World War II, when Denmark fell to Germany after just six hours of fighting and was totally unable to defend either itself or Greenland.
08:45So the United States was then compelled.
08:49We did it.
08:50We felt an obligation to do it, to send our own forces to hold the Greenland territory.
08:56And then after the war, which we won, we won it big without us.
09:03Right now, you'd all be speaking German and a little Japanese, perhaps.
09:09After the war, we gave Greenland back to Denmark.
09:14How stupid were we to do that?
09:17But we did it.
09:18People thought I would use force.
09:19I don't have to use force.
09:20I don't want to use force.
09:21I won't use force.
09:22All the United States is asking for is a place called Greenland.
09:29Now, he did not stop at Denmark.
09:31President Trump also shared an amazing story about negotiating with the French president, Emmanuel Macron.
09:38Take a look.
09:39I said, Emmanuel, you've been taking advantage of the United States for 30 years with prescription drugs.
09:45You really should do it, and you will do it.
09:48I have no doubt.
09:49In fact, I am 100% sure you're going to do it.
09:52No, no, no, I will not do it.
09:53He said, here's the story, Emmanuel.
09:55The answer is you're going to do it.
09:57You're going to do it fast.
09:58And if you don't, I'm putting a 25% tariff on everything that you sell into the United States
10:04and a 100% tariff on your wines and champagnes.
10:07And that's about 10 times more than what I'm requesting.
10:12And you're going to do it.
10:13I don't want to go public with it, but you may make me do that.
10:16No, no, Donald, I will do it.
10:19I will do it.
10:21It took me, on average, three minutes a country.
10:27All right, President Trump.
10:29He also had a few choice words for Canada, which recently embraced new trade relations with China.
10:35Oh, that's brilliant.
10:36Our friends in Canada.
10:37Oh, Canada.
10:38Great idea.
10:39Take a look.
10:40Canada gets a lot of freebies from us, by the way.
10:43They should be grateful also, but they're not.
10:45I watched your prime minister yesterday.
10:47He wasn't so grateful.
10:49But they should be grateful to us.
10:52Canada.
10:53Canada lives because of the United States.
10:55Remember that, Mark, the next time you make your statements.
11:00Yeah, Mark, you might want to remember that.
11:02Now, clearly, President Trump was a breath of fresh air for many at Davos.
11:06Like always, he says what many people are thinking but won't say.
11:10In fact, the president of Switzerland welcomed Donald Trump with open arms saying, quote,
11:15Davos wouldn't without you is not truly Davos.
11:20Meanwhile, NATO's secretary general praising President Trump for being right on Greenland.
11:24Take a look.
11:25When it comes to the Arctic, I think President Trump is right.
11:28Other leaders in NATO are right.
11:29We need to defend the Arctic.
11:32We know that the sea lanes are opening up.
11:34We know that China and Russia are increasingly active in the Arctic.
11:38There are eight countries bordering on the Arctic.
11:41Seven are a member of NATO.
11:42And there's only one country bordering on the Arctic outside NATO, and that's Russia.
11:46And I would argue there is a ninth country, which is China, which is increasingly active
11:51in the Arctic region.
11:52So, President Trump and other leaders are right.
11:54We have to do more there.
11:55We have to protect the Arctic.
11:56Now, there is no doubt the free world, and that means NATO nations, Western allies in
12:03Europe, they need a strong America, including in the Arctic.
12:08Now, some of Western Europe's leaders, they may not like to hear it, but they are completely
12:12defenseless without the U.S. and our military might.
12:16Not only does the U.S. have superior firepower, technology, logistics, President Trump will
12:22share the Golden Dome with them, but we also have the will to fight for our lives and defend
12:27our great way of life.
12:29Europe's leaders, they would be wise to listen up to the lyrics from one of the president's
12:35favorite songs, frequently played at the end of his rallies.
12:38You can't always get what you want, but you might just find that you get what you need.
12:44Here with more, Outkick founder Clay Travis.
12:47You know, here's the reality, is there has been a massive failure, open borders, lack of
12:54assimilation.
12:56Now we have Sharia courts in Great Britain, no gozones in parts of Europe.
13:00There has been, you know, a failure to take geopolitical security seriously.
13:06There has been an out-of-control socialism without spending the proper amount on defense
13:12and their embrace of climate change has been a disaster.
13:17And Donald Trump called them out on all of these failures and how without us, they are done.
13:24They have no strength.
13:27NATO is a paper tiger without the USA.
13:33Sean, I think President Trump delivered the most transformative first year presidency already
13:39than any of us have ever seen.
13:41We're talking about success across the board, and he came into the White House press briefing
13:46room right before he left for Davos, and he laid all that out.
13:50But we talk about the border.
13:51When you talk about crime collapsing, when you talk about fentanyl deaths collapsing, when
13:56you talk about overall 4.3% GDP at the end of the third quarter, 2.6% core inflation, and
14:04now you kind of hit on it.
14:06I don't know that many people have recognized Trump is now trying to bring forth a new international
14:12order that could be as transformative as when the Berlin Wall fell.
14:17Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, all of these awful emblems of terror and despotic regimes across the world
14:26are trembling.
14:28And deep down, everyone in Europe is thanking Donald Trump for saying and doing what needs
14:33to be done.
14:34I've got a little bit of a history lesson for you, Sean.
14:37Do you know the last time we acquired territory in the United States?
14:40Since 1917, we paid $25 million in gold for the United States Virgin Islands because it was
14:48a necessary asset during World War I.
14:51Do you know who we bought it from for $25 million?
14:55Denmark.
14:56Do you know why Denmark sold it to us?
14:58Because we said back in 1917, we'll take it if you don't give it to us because the world needs a strong
15:09America to protect all the freedom that so many in Europe are giving up.
15:15The backbone of Western civilization is this country, the last great hope in the world.
15:21And Trump now is making decisions not for the next three years, not for the next 12 months,
15:25for the next three generations, four generations and beyond a transformative, forward-thinking
15:32policy, both foreign and domestic, that is truly transforming the world for the betterment.
15:38I see all of these interconnected.
15:40I thought that speech he gave earlier today in Davos laid it out perfectly.
15:44You know, when he did point out their failure on immigration and assimilation, when he did point
15:49out their embrace of socialism, when they did, when he did point out their lack of focus on
15:56geopolitical security, when he did point out their embracing of the ridiculous climate change
16:03cult, he's telling them the truth.
16:06And therein lies the failure of the continent of Europe, summed up on those four big issues.
16:13Clay, good to see you, my friend.
16:16All right, now, keep in mind, Greenland was just one part of the president's focus today.
16:20He also touted a renewed spirit for the American dream.
16:23Take a look.
16:25Homeownership has always been a symbol of health and vigor of American society, but that goal
16:31fell out of reach for millions and millions of people in the Biden era because interest rates
16:36went up so high.
16:38But homes are built for people, not for corporations.
16:41And America will not become a nation of renters.
16:45We're not going to do that.
16:46That's why I have signed an executive order banning large institutional investors from buying
16:51single-family homes.
16:53It's just not fair to the public.
16:55All right, here with more Fox Business host, our friend David Asman is with us.
17:00All right.
17:00By the way, thank you for the nice ex-post you put up about the show.
17:05We appreciate it.
17:06I saw it.
17:07Oh, always.
17:08All right.
17:09You got it.
17:09Gas prices, four-year low.
17:13Inflation, you know, nowhere near Biden's average of over 5% now, you know, near the target
17:21of 2% at 2.6%.
17:22Interest rates down at the lowest level in years.
17:26GDP growth.
17:27Atlanta Fed predicting 5.3% fourth quarter on top of the 4.3% in the third quarter.
17:34All right.
17:35The lowest trade deficits in 20 years.
17:38The biggest after-inflation income in 20 years.
17:43And we've barely had the tax cuts in effect, and we have not even talked about trillions
17:50of dollars that will be in manufacturing investment with zero depreciation, 100% depreciation rather
17:58than year one.
17:59That is, this is about to be a Reagan boom on steroids.
18:04It is, Reagan.
18:07And you mentioned the growth stat.
18:09We're growing at at least 5% right now.
18:13We may even get into 6% and 7% range, which Ronald Reagan did in one of his years.
18:19We grew 7% because of his tax and deregulatory programs.
18:24You know how much Europe is growing right now?
18:26All 27 European nations.
18:28The average is 1.2%.
18:30We're growing four times as much because, as you mentioned before, they have a socialist,
18:35basically a socialist economic model.
18:38It doesn't go full-core Marxist like Mamdani would like to go, but it gets partly there.
18:44And that's why he's focused so much on home ownership, because home ownership is such a
18:49key to grounding and anchoring capitalism in every American's heart, because it is a part
18:56of the American dream.
18:57Home ownership turns you into a capitalist.
19:00You get an asset that you can trade, that you can sell, that you can even borrow money
19:05on.
19:05You really become a capitalist when you have that asset, free access to it.
19:10That's why socialists hate home ownership.
19:13They really hate it.
19:15Mamdani has spoken about decommodifying home ownership.
19:18That means taking the value, the tradable value out of the asset of home ownership.
19:24What do the homeowners who own $55 trillion worth of property?
19:30That's how much homeowners, not the big institutional investors, but just the homeowners in America
19:35own.
19:36He, Mamdani, Bernie Sanders, the others, they want to strip that away from individual Americans,
19:42strip the American dream right out of their hands and put it in the hands of the government.
19:47That's pure Marxism.
19:50That's what Mamdani wants to do.
19:51That's what the screamers in Minneapolis want to do.
19:55That's what Antifa wants to do.
19:57They want to strip capitalism away.
19:59President Trump realizes that, that this is at the heart of the backbone of the American
20:05middle class is home ownership.
20:07That's why he's focusing on that.
20:08I really cheered when I heard him say that because he gets it like nobody else has.
20:15Well, but you also have to factor in somebody like myself starting out my adult life.
20:22I didn't buy my first home until I was in my 30s, but I rented.
20:26When I rented a home, okay, all of a sudden I wanted one.
20:31And so you do need rental, you do need a rental market as well.
20:34Some people don't want to buy a home.
20:36You do, but you don't want the government to handle it.
20:40Go into any public housing unit and ask the people if they're happy where they are.
20:45I mean, I used to teach junior high school in a place called Cabrini Green, a housing
20:50project outside of Chicago.
20:51They had to tear the whole damn thing down.
20:53Home ownership is the key.
20:55And the 401k, being able to dip into your 401k in order to buy your first house, or possibly
21:01even parents and grandparents dipping into their 401k to help their grandkids buy their
21:07first home.
21:08That would do a lot.
21:10Well said.
21:10David Asman, great to have you as always.
21:13And up next tonight, right here on Hannity.
21:15A complete beatdown.
21:25Treasury Secretary Scott Bessett gave Governor Tweety Bird, Gavin Newsom, a taste of his own
21:30tough guy medicine in Davos.
21:32It was brutal.
21:34We've got the whole tape straight ahead.
21:36He's just desperate for attention.
21:38Now, full-time Trump stalker, podcaster, Tweety Bird, and World Traveler went all the way
21:44to Davos to appear at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland.
21:48But his trip didn't go exactly as planned.
21:52He was quickly put in his place by the Trump administration.
21:55Now, take a look at what the Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessett, said in his speech.
22:00You know, I think it's very, very ironic that, you know, Governor Newsom, who strikes me as
22:11Patrick Bateman meets Sparkle Beach Ken, may be the only Californian who knows less about
22:17economics than Kamala Harris.
22:20He's here this week with his billionaire sugar daddy, Alex Soros.
22:26Now, Bessett is right, and he kept going on.
22:29Now, aside from meeting with the sugar daddy and stalking President Trump, his full-time
22:34job, it's unclear what Newsom was actually even doing there.
22:38After seeing now that how he has destroyed his own state of California, it's pretty obvious
22:43that he's, well, an economic illiterate.
22:47Now, but Bessett wasn't the only member of the administration to put Gavin in his place.
22:51After Newsom tweeted out that he thought Trump's speech was, quote, boring, White House
22:56Communications Director Stephen Chung came up with the reason Newsom might have been bored
23:01writing on X, quote, because you sat there.
23:04You couldn't participate.
23:06You couldn't get a participation trophy.
23:08And adding insult to injury for his already embarrassing trip, Newsom also whined about
23:14being denied entry to a fireside chat that he was scheduled to speak at, of course, immediately
23:20blaming the Trump administration.
23:21I have a message for Governor Podcaster Tweety Bird and a full-time Trump stalker.
23:28Instead of stalking the president, whining about him nonstop, why don't you fix the disaster
23:35that you created in your own state, the sanctuary state of California?
23:41You have the highest income taxes, the highest sales taxes, you have the highest gas taxes in
23:48the entire country.
23:50Thousands of people in the Pacific Palisades, they still cannot get a building permit.
23:56It's been over a year.
23:57And by the way, why we are on the subject, please check and make sure California's fire hydrants,
24:05reservoirs actually have water in them.
24:08You may want to discover something called the science of forestry and practice it.
24:14And you also have the country's largest homeless population.
24:18And quality of life is deteriorated to such a high level that people are fleeing your state in droves.
24:25By the way, and Gavin, good luck running nationally on your disastrous record.
24:30We will remind people every single day.
24:33Now, Newsom wasn't the only questionable Davos participant.
24:37Here he came out of mothballs.
24:38Former Vice President Al Gore and his desperate attempt to stay relevant continue.
24:44He, of course, attended the forum to push more fear fear mongering over his never ending
24:49obsession of climate change, climate change, climate change.
24:53Take a look.
24:54We're all going to have to be very brief.
24:57The forum has chosen the title for this session.
25:00How do we avoid a climate recession?
25:03We don't have a recession in the movement toward this energy transition, in my opinion.
25:10But we do appear in many countries, not all, a climate policy recession.
25:16Here's the truth nobody will say.
25:20Nobody cares what Al Gore thinks.
25:22He has been wrong on every single insane prediction that he has made about climate for the last 30 years.
25:32Earth for the unbalanced.
25:33What was that, 2006?
25:35Why would anyone start taking him seriously now?
25:39And from the looks of the minuscule crowd that showed up to listen to this grifting session of his,
25:45it doesn't seem like many people are, you know, caring.
25:50Remember, this is the guy that claimed the sea levels would rise 20 feet.
25:53Didn't happen.
25:54That snow on Mount Kilimanjaro would disappear.
25:58Didn't happen.
25:59Coral reefs would bleach and die off, and polar bears would drown, and they'd face extinction by now.
26:07Low-lying Pacific islands would have to be evacuated because of rising seas.
26:12The north polar ice cap would totally disappear.
26:15And who could forget this, Jim, from an inconvenient truth in which he claimed the city of New York,
26:22Manhattan, would sink.
26:25Hasn't happened, but maybe it will.
26:27Take a look.
26:27Here's Manhattan.
26:29The World Trade Center Memorial would be underwater.
26:32Think of the impact of a couple hundred thousand refugees, and then imagine a hundred million.
26:40Okay.
26:41Now, for all that fear-mongering and panic about climate and all the time he's been wrong,
26:45you would think that Al would travel leaving as small a carbon footprint as possible, right?
26:52Wrong.
26:52Remember, 2007, right here on this show, we obtained exclusive video of Al Gore flying on a massive 14 to 16-seat jet with two people and all the CO2-emitting gases from his private jet.
27:10Another example of the left's rules for thee, but not for me.
27:15Here with Reaction, political analyst Katie Zachariah and Fox News contributor Ari Fleischer.
27:21Katie, start with you.
27:22All right.
27:22A lot of hypocrisy here.
27:24You know Gavin pretty well.
27:26You know Al Gore pretty well.
27:28They're not relevant, but they think they are.
27:30Well, Sean, I look at Gavin Newsom going out ahead of Davos and bravo to Secretary Besson because he made light of what I think is actually a pretty serious situation.
27:41And I liken it to a second-string player going out ahead of the Super Bowl and dissing his coach and dissing his team.
27:50Nobody in America would accept this.
27:52And while it's funny and there are fun memes, this is very serious.
27:56And really, Sean, it should shock our conscience because this man is undermining national security.
28:01He's undermining the president who is working in a historic deal for our country.
28:05And his state, as you so well put, I loved all of the lists of things he's done and hasn't done.
28:12His state is a disaster.
28:14And he's criticizing the one man, the one man in history who's delivered more results for the United States.
28:19He has not a leg to stand on, Sean.
28:21Well said.
28:22Ari Fleischer, you know, a lot of people think, and myself included, that Gavin Newsom might be able to get the Democratic nomination
28:31because radicals, which is the base of that party, they would vote for somebody like Gavin.
28:37But when Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina,
28:46when they see what he's failed to do in California and what he's done to California,
28:51I think that's going to be a tough sell.
28:54Sounds like the Massachusetts miracle again.
28:56Well, first, can we just start with Scott Bessent, the Treasury Secretary?
29:02That man is one bad hombre.
29:04I mean, what he said, the way he just with joy and a smile just smacked Gavin Newsom down,
29:10that's how you do it.
29:11And that was beautiful.
29:13As for Gavin Newsom, Sean, I think you're exactly right.
29:16You know, I don't blame presidential wannabes for traveling and doing what they can just to get the light to shine on them.
29:21That's their job as a wannabe candidate, grab attention.
29:24But here it failed. It utterly failed.
29:26And if he spent any taxpayer dollars, California taxpayer dollars, to go to Switzerland,
29:32I hope he gets his money back or gives the money back to the taxpayers.
29:35They should get it back from him because that was a waste of time, a waste of trip.
29:40And he does have those political problems you pointed out in a general election.
29:45In a primary, who knows?
29:46There's going to be 10, 15, 20 Democrats running.
29:49The dynamic inside that primary is going to be crazy.
29:52And I think almost all of them are going to be really far left progressives, perhaps some socialists.
29:58That's the modern Democratic Party.
30:01And good luck to them, because I think they're all going to have a hard time.
30:06All right. We appreciate it. And thank you both. Katie, thank you.
30:09Ari, thank you. And up next tonight, right here on Hannity.
30:12There was the humor of it, like, stop looking at me, right?
30:15You know, so that it's also my wry humor. It's like, come on, people.
30:20Michelle Obama, Call Her Daddy podcast, complaining about America again.
30:25We've got that clip and what she thinks about her husband ever running for president again.
30:29Also, Congress held a hearing on the bombshell fraud scheme in Minnesota.
30:34Our very own Chad Pergram has a report.
30:37And we'll check in with James Comer. Guess what?
30:41Contempt of Congress charges. Looks like the Clintons are in trouble. Straight ahead.
30:46Now, while President Trump made headlines in Davos, it was still a big day back here stateside,
30:51where Congress held a hearing on the massive fraud uncovered in Minnesota.
30:58Multiple Democrats joining with Republicans on the House Oversight Committee
31:02to vote to hold Bill and Hillary Clinton in contempt of Congress for dodging committee subpoenas.
31:09Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, he'll join us in a moment.
31:12But first, let's bring in our chief congressional correspondent, Chad Pergram,
31:16who joins us live from Capitol Hill with a full recap.
31:20Chad.
31:21We're going to start with Minnesota fraud.
31:24Nick Shirley, he testified on Capitol Hill today.
31:27He's the YouTuber, and he was stunned how long fraud went on in Minnesota
31:32and how it was never detected for so long.
31:36Listen.
31:37How long would it take for you to notice a million dollars being,
31:41leaving your bank account and not knowing where it's going?
31:46That's essentially what had been happening in Minnesota for years,
31:49as billions of dollars has been misplaced.
31:51A former Minnesota child care fraud investigator told lawmakers
31:56that he saw issues in the Gopher State as far back as 2014.
32:01We noticed a trend.
32:03Many of the centers receiving the highest levels of CCAP funding
32:07were owned and operated by Smalley individuals.
32:10We were labeled as racially biased.
32:12It's a hectic time on Capitol Hill.
32:15A House panel hears tomorrow from former special counsel Jack Smith
32:19about his prosecution of President Trump.
32:22And another House committee voted today to hold Bill and Hillary Clinton
32:26in contempt of Congress.
32:28They skipped depositions on the Epstein files.
32:32Summer Lee was one of nine Democrats who voted to hold the Clintons
32:36in contempt of Congress.
32:38If this committee wants to be taken seriously,
32:41we would be addressing all the bad actors in this investigation,
32:45not cherry-picking them for political points.
32:47Now, the full House votes on contempt in February,
32:51and some Republicans want the Department of Justice
32:54to prosecute the Clintons for not complying with the subpoena.
32:59Sean, back to you.
33:00All right, so will they get the Navarro-Bannon treatment?
33:03We'll wait and see.
33:04Chad, thank you.
33:05All right, here now with more is the chairman
33:07of the House Oversight Committee, James Comer.
33:10Correct me if I'm wrong.
33:12Is this not the exact same thing that happened
33:15with Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon?
33:18Is that they refused to testify, held in contempt,
33:22and then brought up on charges, and then they both went to jail?
33:26Exactly.
33:26It was passed out of committee, passed on the full House floor,
33:29then turned over to the Department of Justice,
33:31which was led by then Merrick Garland.
33:33Merrick Garland prosecuted him and sent him to prison.
33:35Okay, so I guess if it's good for one party,
33:39it should be good for the other.
33:41You know, I was watching Nick Shirley
33:42and the testimony about the fraud in Minnesota,
33:45but he also points out California, it's so obvious, may be worse.
33:50When you look at $24 billion missing for homelessness,
33:53then you look at, you know, all this money
33:55that was supposed to be spent for years to build a train
33:59that never was built.
34:02What happened to all that money?
34:03What about firefighting money?
34:07What about Medicaid, Medicare, all of these issues?
34:11Are you seeing and suspecting
34:13that California could be worse than Minnesota?
34:17Well, it probably is.
34:19The population of California is significantly more.
34:22We've started in Minnesota investigating fraud
34:26with respect to the welfare benefits
34:27because we've had some brave whistleblowers
34:29who have come forward.
34:30These are credible whistleblowers
34:31who are employed by the state government.
34:34They're overwhelmingly Democrat,
34:35and they're bringing lots of documents forward
34:38that not only prove there was fraud,
34:41but also implicate, in my opinion,
34:43the fact that both Governor Walton
34:45and Attorney General Ellison knew about it.
34:47I think this is happening in every state,
34:49but especially in the blue states
34:51because it doesn't seem
34:53that the Democrats care as much about wasteful spending
34:56as Republicans do.
34:58And I think the American people are sick and tired
35:00of their tax dollars being wasted
35:02and expect people to do something about it
35:03and be held accountable.
35:05And you're looking into Congresswoman Omar.
35:08How much money did she have when she came to Congress,
35:11and how much does she have now?
35:13She didn't have any money when she came to Congress.
35:15In fact, according to her, she was in the hole.
35:18She had a negative net worth.
35:20Now her net worth is somewhere between
35:22$6 million and $25 million.
35:25It's very difficult to determine
35:26because of the ranges in the financial disclosure form.
35:30But at the end of the day,
35:31she and her husband went from zero
35:33to anywhere between $6 and $25 million
35:36in about a year and a half.
35:37That is a red flag,
35:40and we're trying to find out how that happened,
35:42especially in Minnesota,
35:43where we're seeing all of this welfare fraud
35:45with relation to the Somali community.
35:48Well, it might have to do
35:50with Nancy Pelosi investment advice.
35:52I don't know.
35:53James Comer will be watching tomorrow
35:55with Jack Smith.
35:56And up next, right here on Hannity.
35:59There's 25th Amendment.
36:01Right, it's time.
36:0225th Amendment is time.
36:04It's time.
36:05The co-hosts of that hard-hitting news show,
36:08The View,
36:09are having yet another meltdown
36:10over President Trump.
36:12Plus, wait until you hear
36:14what Michelle Obama said
36:15when asked about Barack
36:17possibly ever running for president again
36:19if Donald Trump ran.
36:21Next.
36:23Time for other news tonight.
36:24And, well, per usual,
36:26the co-hosts of that hard-hitting news show,
36:28The View,
36:28spent the majority of their show
36:29complaining about Donald Trump.
36:31Shocker.
36:31And after years of gushing over Joe Biden
36:35denying his cognitive decline
36:37and lying about the border,
36:38Whoopi Goldberg is calling on Congress
36:41to invoke the 25th Amendment
36:43and oust Trump
36:44because she didn't like
36:45what he said at Davos.
36:47Take a look.
36:4825th Amendment.
36:50Right, it's time.
36:5125th Amendment is time.
36:53It's time.
36:54You believe at this point
36:56that the president of the United States
36:58may not have his full faculty?
37:00I felt, I felt that before now.
37:04Yeah, but the cherry on the cake
37:05was yesterday.
37:06Well, no, there's been
37:07a lot of cherries on the cake.
37:09There have been several cherries.
37:10The cherries on this cake
37:11are enormous.
37:13Yeah.
37:14There are so many.
37:15It's a cherry tree.
37:15There are the lines in the sand.
37:18I mean, it looks like a stamp.
37:21There's so many lines in the sand.
37:23All right, later in the show,
37:24Sonny Hauston called Trump,
37:26quote, a useful idiot.
37:28I won't even go there.
37:29Well, the Trump administration
37:30was quick to get back.
37:32White House spokesperson
37:33David Engel responded
37:35to Entertainment Weekly
37:37with a statement that reads,
37:38quote, Whoopi Goldberg
37:39and Sonny Hauston
37:40are a pair of useful idiots
37:41that have no talent.
37:43Very poorly rated TV show.
37:45Here with the reaction,
37:46the Federalist Elections
37:47correspondent,
37:48Brianna Lyman, with us.
37:49Brianna, all right.
37:51I think it may be time
37:52to invoke the 25th Amendment
37:54and go to bars and tone
37:55because I think more people
37:56would find that interesting.
37:57You know, Sean,
37:59you know that old adage, right?
38:00If Democrats didn't have
38:01double standards,
38:02then they would have
38:02no standards at all
38:03because it's people
38:04like Whoopi Goldberg
38:05and Sonny Hauston
38:06and the rest of the
38:07left-wing media apparatus
38:08that were silent for four years.
38:10Well, this country
38:10was being run by a man
38:11who had to be walked off stage.
38:13He couldn't even stay awake
38:15and a special counsel
38:16said he had significant
38:17memory limitations
38:18and yet not a peep
38:19was made about
38:20the 25th Amendment.
38:21And they're only doing it now
38:22because they want to oust
38:23a duly elected president.
38:25They couldn't beat him
38:26at the ballot box,
38:27so they want to weaponize
38:28very, you know,
38:29limited processes
38:30to oust him.
38:31But I would remind all of them,
38:32President Trump
38:33was deemed competent,
38:34fit, abled
38:35on November 5th of 2024
38:37when he won the popular vote
38:38and took every single swing state.
38:41All right, Brianna,
38:42maybe my favorite
38:43other news story tonight.
38:44Michelle Obama
38:45is continuing
38:46to make the podcast rounds,
38:48soaking up
38:49as much attention
38:49as she can.
38:51And her latest interview
38:51was on the
38:52Call Her Daddy podcast
38:54where she attempted
38:55to reframe
38:55her prior comment
38:56that our country
38:57is not ready
38:59for a female president
39:00but ended up saying
39:01the same thing
39:02as last time.
39:04Take a look.
39:05It takes time, right?
39:07So, but we're moving.
39:09We are moving
39:10in that direction.
39:11So that statement was,
39:13you know,
39:14there was the humor of it,
39:15like, stop looking at me,
39:16right?
39:16You know,
39:17so that it's also
39:18my wry humor.
39:19It's like, come on, people.
39:21You know,
39:21there were people who,
39:22there are men out there
39:23that were not going
39:25to vote for a woman.
39:26You know,
39:27people have had
39:29those conversations, right?
39:30Let's just be real about it
39:32and let's put that
39:33on the table
39:34and talk about,
39:35well, what's that about?
39:37All right.
39:38And Michelle Obama
39:39asked about Barack
39:40running for a third term
39:41if, in fact,
39:42Donald Trump did.
39:43And she's not very fond
39:45of that idea.
39:46I think Barack would lose.
39:47Take a look.
39:48So if,
39:50this is all hypothetical,
39:52if Trump does change the law
39:55and ruds for a third term,
39:58hypothetically,
39:59do you think
40:00your husband
40:02would consider running?
40:04I hope not.
40:05Michelle.
40:07I would actively
40:08work against that.
40:11You know,
40:12the whole world starts crying.
40:13I wouldn't be,
40:15I would be at home
40:17working against it.
40:19All right,
40:20Brianna,
40:20you want to touch that?
40:21I mean,
40:21there's all these articles
40:23speculating about
40:24their relationship.
40:25I don't like to go
40:26down that road,
40:27but I don't know.
40:28That did not sound
40:29very supportive
40:30towards Barack.
40:31Well,
40:31I actually think
40:32that she says
40:33her husband
40:33wouldn't run
40:34for a third term
40:34because, in many ways,
40:36he already did.
40:37You know,
40:37the Biden administration
40:38felt like an extension
40:39of the Obama years.
40:41It was the same people,
40:41the same ideology,
40:42and a lot of us
40:43suspect that Obama
40:44was the puppet master
40:45behind the scenes.
40:46And during that interview,
40:47she later said,
40:48you know,
40:48we need fresh ideas,
40:49which is rich
40:50considering that
40:51her husband
40:51was basically ruling
40:52for a third term
40:53vis-a-vis Biden.
40:54But, you know,
40:55no, Sean,
40:55let's be honest.
40:56Obama is not the kingmaker
40:58that he once was.
40:59You know,
40:59he's not revered
41:00by progressives.
41:01There's a very big divide
41:02amongst Democratic donors.
41:03I think a lot of Americans
41:04look back at his two terms
41:05and say,
41:06I didn't like the way
41:07the country was going.
41:07So I think he peaked
41:09and I think her
41:09and her husband know that.
41:11I also think
41:12he was a very lazy president.
41:14I mean,
41:14she's the one that said
41:15for the first time
41:15in my adult life,
41:16I'm proud of my country.
41:18Never really got challenged
41:19on that
41:20or their radical associations.
41:21How did they get away
41:22with that?
41:23Right,
41:23because if somebody
41:24challenged them,
41:25they'd say,
41:25oh, it's racism
41:26or oh, it's sexism.
41:26I mean,
41:27to the earlier clip you played,
41:28her entire argument
41:29is that a woman
41:29can't be elected president
41:30because people are sexist,
41:31not that they're unqualified.
41:34Okay,
41:34they ran Hillary Clinton
41:35and Kamala Harris,
41:37not the strongest candidates
41:38in the world,
41:39not the most inspiring either.
41:41Margaret Thatcher,
41:43conservative,
41:44Republican,
41:45I'd vote for that woman
41:46in a heartbeat.
41:47So would I.
41:48All right, Brianna,
41:49maybe one day
41:50it'll be you.
41:51And when we come back,
41:52no surprise
41:53that Donald Trump
41:54had everyone cracking up
41:56at Davos.
41:57We've got the highlights
41:58straight ahead.
41:58I don't know.
41:59comes from Al-Quen,
42:16we've got the highlights
42:17of how your
42:17thoughts used in this
42:18space.
42:18You know,
42:19take a look at Gente
