00:07Frozen 2 hit a new milestone skating past the $1 billion mark at the global box office,
00:12making the sequel the sixth Disney release of the year to hit that honor
00:16and the eighth title of 2019 to do so thus far.
00:22The follow-up to 2013's Frozen, which follows Kristen Bell's Princess Anna
00:26and Idina Menzel's Queen Elsa and the rest of the gang
00:28as they embark on a new journey beyond the walls of Arendelle,
00:31first hit theaters on the weekend before Thanksgiving
00:34and grossed $366.5 million domestically and $666 million internationally
00:41for a worldwide tally of $1.032 billion.
00:45The original Frozen had grossed $1.28 billion at the global box office
00:50to become the top-grossing animated film of all time.
00:53The film also won numerous awards, including the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.

01:26Joker with $1.06 billion and Aladdin with $1.05 billion.
01:31Frozen 2's achievement comes a week after Disney announced that it's amassed more than
01:35$10 billion in total worldwide ticket sales this year.
