'Incredibles 2' is also tipped to do big business this weekend as 2018 domestic box office revenue crosses $6 billion faster than any year in history.

00:00This weekend's new releases, Uncle Drew and Sicario Day of the Soldado, are looking like
00:05they'll be no match for a family of superheroes and a whole lot of dinos.
00:08Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom is expected to roar past the competition at the box office this weekend.
00:13If tracking is correct, Sicario 2 and Uncle Drew will each open in the $10 to $13 million range,
00:20while Fallen Kingdom could easily earn $60 million-plus in its second weekend after debuting to $148 million.
00:27Incredibles 2 is also expected to be a major player in its third outing after grossing $80.4 million last weekend.
00:35But neither Sicario 2 nor Uncle Drew had aspirations to be all-audience blockbusters.
00:40Rather, they hope to serve as counter-programming.
00:42Uncle Drew stars Lil Rel Howery as a 30-something man who, with the help of Uncle Drew, played by Kyrie Irving,
00:49assembles a team of older basketball players in hopes of winning a streetball tournament in Brooklyn.
00:54The movie boasts an impressive roster of real-life basketball stars, including Irving, Shaquille O'Neal,
01:00Chris Webber, Nate Robinson, Reggie Miller and Lisa Leslie.
01:04Tiffany Haddish and Nick Kroll also star.
01:06And Sicario Day of the Soldado is a follow-up to the critically acclaimed U.S.-Mexico border drama, 2015's Sicario.
01:21Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin once again star.
01:25The timely story follows a federal border agent, played by Brolin, who enlists Del Toro's character
01:37in the battle to stop the Mexican drug cartels from trafficking terrorists across the border into the U.S.
01:43Thanks in large part to such hits as Fallen Kingdom and Incredibles 2, not to mention Avengers Infinity War and Black Panther,
01:50domestic box office revenue has already crossed $6 billion this year, faster than any other year in history.
01:57Domestic revenue is up more than 8 percent over 2017.
