00:40my age is not that easy so you have a spot where someone will offer you money like a bar and you'll
00:47say no i mean you have a line right where someone will offer you a lot of money and you'll say nah
00:55if i'm opening a bar and all i have to do is sit there and pour beer that's different than
01:00gaining 40 pounds um it is but i'm i'm trying to just like i'm i'm trying to gather like is there
01:07a big money opportunity that you'd say no to out of some sort of principle depending on what the
01:13principle is but ultimately cash is king like what are we talking about here mark well we're talking
01:18about uh philly's ladder 15 bar and their manager joe who was offered something in an email from a
01:3149er fan you know there's the 49er takeover we're all very well aware of this right the 49er fan base
01:38travels like no other that's data that's not an opinion that's data vivid seats just ask them
01:45so i'm sure there's a niner brigade on their way to philly this weekend so uh philly's ladder 15 bar
01:54gets this email from a 49er fan um hey i assume joe nice to meet you it's typical on friday night
02:02it's the first night of the takeover weekend for niner fans so anywhere throughout the night we're
02:11looking at 100 to 200 people cha-ching give or take so with this being a big game i'm thinking on
02:19the higher end 150 to 200 people and that's a rough estimate they're looking to basically
02:26at least get a wing of the bar and uh like you said cha-ching yeah here's the response from uh
02:34from ladder 15 management i'm sure the response was what time can you get here quote after very
02:41little consideration we cannot in good conscience host anything that has to do with the 49ers
02:50we are birds fans till the end we bleed green we back our team even when it comes at a cost
02:59only reason i wish you luck is because the 49ers are going to need it wow that was unnecessary

04:21people but like yeah that that's what we want to see on a weekly basis coming through that's a that's
04:26a home run but niners fans playoff weekend oh man i mean you know how eagles fans are i know how eagles
04:34fans are i am one of them i can't do that you know so uh i told steve what i wanted to say he uh
04:43made it sound nicer oh what the hell did you want to say joe well i mean we're being funnier f off go
04:52birds but make it nicer is what i said because you can't say that yeah f off go birds wow that would
04:59have taken less time yeah it would have taken less time then it was actually funny he was like uh
05:05he wrote something up we're talking back and forth in a group chat i was actually at the flyers game the
05:10night he was sending it to me and uh he sent the first first draft i guess if you will i was like
05:15nah it's gotta be meaner man we appreciate your interest in our establishment but uh at this
05:22juncture joe and his line that went viral that made the email that first line with very little
05:30consideration is classic i think it's so funny yeah it's pretty awesome i just wonder about the uh
05:35short-sighted business part of it because you know these 150 or 200 red and gold niner fans are
05:41going to go somewhere so one of your competitors is going to fatten up at your own uh regret
05:46yeah i mean i totally hear you and um and as a chance we're willing to take i feel like sticking
05:53with our eagles fans that are here all year round and love what we did i mean i poked fun at it i even
06:00talked to the guy i wanted to book the party and told him i was going to post it he laughed and thought
06:03it'd be funny too i in no way shape or form sort of blow up the way it did and i'd be on
06:09your show with you guys right now so like that was just awesome so wait you talk you talk directly
06:15to the guy who tried to book this yeah how'd that conversation go oh he laughed he thought it was
06:21funny i even told him like hey because we we're small potatoes we only have like 5 000 followers on
06:27social media i was like yo man i want to drum up some business and uh and post this out i'll block
06:34out your name and everything like he was that's that's funny i totally get it i know how eagles fans
06:39are and i was like i'm like dude you're a super nice guy it was a great conversation i was like i
06:44just can't i can't do a playoff weekend i can't do that to my city can't do it i can't do it to my
06:49bar i don't think we'd get roasted so super nice guy calls you offers 200 people on a friday night in
06:56your bar and and and and you said no your market yeah the juice wasn't worth the squeeze there for
07:03us i i still stand by my decision i get that and it's funny because i was just trying to learn more
07:08about ladder 15 and i'm a big fan of yelp as far as like just seeing what the people think
07:12your yelp reviews are not great but your yelp actually yeah your yelp has been frozen because
07:18yelp itself is afraid of san franciscans backlash giving you one star just on principle so just know
07:25that your rating's being protected it was it was so funny i think we dropped down to like
07:30one and a half stars at one point and then and then and then and then eagles fans which again
07:37helps me understand why i stick by my decision jumped back in i'm talking about i didn't look at yelp i
07:42looked at the google reviews we got down like 1.2 at one point and then one of the stations posted
07:48out something like hey the niners fans are cracking us down on the on the reviews go help
07:52out ladder 15 and within like a half hour we're back up to 3.7 which oh my god i mean five stars
07:58but it's hilarious watching this all unfold so yeah it's a lot of fun honestly and that's appropriate
08:03because that's about what saquon averages on the ground this year right 3.7 wow i can't hear you
08:08we're a super bowl champs i'm sorry our five lombardis are blocking my view of the screen right

08:53niner okay what was the what's the other one laughing what's the other one we're dying laughing we
09:00we hit save on it get to the next voicemail it's another niners fan telling us we're
09:06pos you know we're cracking up the next voicemail it's the same guy he's like hey
09:11i want to order another cheesesteak but this time i need you to take it to the rocky statue
09:16and shove it up his ass it's a fun week man it's like it's all fun it's all love like go birds
09:27obviously and niners i hope you go down yeah i mean yeah like not obviously but yeah so we're
09:34talking with joe uh he is among the managers at philly's ladder 15 bar they turned down a huge
09:41party of niner fans for tonight hell it's seven o'clock out there they probably would be they'd
09:47be walking in right about now hey joe can you describe your establishment for us like 200 people
09:53in your place would mean what yeah so we have we got two floors that would probably take up the top
09:59floor um we have an upstairs and downstairs we open almost 18 years now uh a lot of live music
10:08dj's it's more of a party bar i'd definitely say that we have a lot of fun here i mean by all
10:15means come through we have no problem with that oh we're gonna come through now joe we're gonna come
10:20through i'll buy you a cheesesteak and i want you to see if you can somehow find out who that guy is
10:24that sent you that that sent us them voicemails yeah dude i would love to buy him a beer and a
10:28cheesesteak and whatever he wants to do with that cheesesteak where he wants to put it

10:49into kind of how most people here would would look at it but i bet you also you get the perception
10:57that i think online has gotten a little away from us and and some people have experienced this even
11:04people at our station but that but that your fan base joe is just a bunch of people who want to
11:10fight and are completely out of their minds what what do you say to that what do i it's it's fun
11:17some more and i bet you there's niner fans like that i've been the game i've been the eagles games
11:20where niner fans are knucklehead too i mean it's well sure it's on both it's on both sides of the
11:24spectrum i mean i think i just saw a video where eagles fans are pelton vikings fans of snowballs and i
11:30thought it was hilarious you know don't don't do that in another stadium don't wear that jersey
11:34you want to go and support your team i'll tell you right now if i go to a niners game at a niner
11:39stadium i'm not wearing my eagles jersey it's just what you don't do it maybe that just goes on from
11:42philly and we know that's how you do things but i mean yeah is there is there some rough ones yeah
11:48some funny ones yeah i i love it all i had a buddy of mine wearing a cooper sharp american cheese hat
11:55called for cooper to gene like it's hilarious like have fun it's a great time yeah have fun but
12:02within your parameters right like have fun but don't wear your own team's jersey we had a couple
12:07of our hosts a few years back walk through the parking lot with a bunch of niner fans and they're
12:11getting middle fingers and they're getting hot dogs thrown out of and all all kinds of stuff you're
12:16poking the bear by wearing your own team's jersey i get that yeah i'm not saying i personally agree with
12:24it but i i watch it and i that's just how some people are man joe uh real quick i got one more

15:00that's actually floor is probably a great space we we probably we we could have or should have asked
15:05that but uh you don't need to promote the place i'm out here trying to bury him i think we i think
15:10that's probably cat out of the bag on that one no doubt he's not wrong like okay you you said no to a
15:16bunch of niner fans that's a big one night check if you just doubled your social media base if people
15:22are fighting over your yelp reviews right job well done and there are multiple fan pages that are
15:29posting things like you know get to their google and their yelp niner fans are trying to tear them
15:34down support ladder 15 i've never heard of yelp fighting before is this like a thing
15:39does this happen sometimes you know your boy's a bit of a yelp sniper i will snipe you if you give
15:44me bad service you're gonna get out you're getting one star now see i'm one of those people if i end
15:48up on yelp i start questioning my own life you gotta be careful right away i'm like really is this
15:53what we're doing i didn't like the steak so now i'm gonna go home to my computer
15:58type up a bunch of stuff i do it from my phone at the restaurant
