00:00What is the fan response and fan love for Landman been like for you?
00:04I mean, humbling and overwhelming in the best of ways.
00:08I don't think any of us expected it to hit on this international level.
00:12You know, the first season we came out and we were just like,
00:15wow, people like our show about a small little town in West Texas, you know, about oil.
00:20And I think that what we realized coming into season two,
00:23you know, we're in London and we're in Berlin and in South America,
00:27is that people love the dysfunctional family.
00:30You know, you either are part of one or you know one
00:33and that people love seeing the messy relationships.
00:36I also feel that the way Taylor writes in our show, there's so many tones.
00:40There's kind of a little bit for everyone.
00:42So as soon as there's like, you know, a moment of romance or deep drama,
00:46he'll cut it with comedy.
00:47Once the comedy goes, he'll move into action.
00:50You know, there's so many different ways to go in our show
00:52and I think that that's why it's connected with people.
00:54What are some things you'd like to maybe see happen in future seasons for your character?
01:00I mean, my taste versus what I do are very different.
01:05You know, I mean, I love a marriage story.
01:07I love really intimate, small, independent films, you know,
01:10and like dramatic performances.
01:11That's what I like to watch.
01:13Sentimental value, you know.
01:15So if I had legs, I would kick you, you know, things like that.
01:19But I think for my show, Taylor knows what he's doing.
01:22So it's not really for me to kind of mess with that stew.
01:26But I do have a couple opportunities coming up that I'm incredibly excited about.

01:32I was going to ask, you know, following all the success of Landman,
01:35what are you looking to do outside of Landman?
01:37It's that because I get the chance to kind of do a lot of comedy
01:40and also have these amazing, you know, moments with Billy in the show.
01:44But, you know, I'm excited to kind of wash it all off, you know,
01:47and to kind of get that moment with an incredible director
01:49and have a very small, you know, intimate experience.
01:52Finally, since we're here at the Critics' Choice Awards,
01:54what's your relationship like with reviews?
01:56Do you read reviews of your projects or do you avoid them?
01:59We were just talking about that.
02:00You know, I've read some that hurt my feelings
02:03and then I've read some that made me feel good
02:05and I realized that neither can sway you, you know.
02:08Like, I'm a grown woman who has children and is a working mother.
02:12I mean, I think that if you let these things kind of really, you know,
02:15like take away the art of this, that's so disappointing.
02:20But I also feel like this is a very exciting night
02:22and that, you know, performances should be honored.
02:25So, you know, I think it's both sides of it.
02:27But for me, I try to keep myself very neutral.
