00:00We're here at the Critics' Choice Awards. What's your relationship with reviews? Do you read reviews of your projects?
00:06I do. I probably am my biggest critic, but I'm learning to chill out on that a lot.
00:12By starting today, I look good today. I'm feeling great.
00:17I'm wearing diamonds from Chopard, and I gotta have a bodyguard.
00:22You know, I'm wearing custom, I know. Like, I'm feeling myself today.
00:25Because a lot of times you come on these carpets and you feel so self-conscious.
00:30And you really do become your own critic of your body, your mind, all of that stuff.
00:34So, going back to the work, though.
00:39Yes, I am very grateful that the critics see something in me again this year. It means a lot.
00:45I feel like the vibes you're starting 2026 with are just right, though.
00:48Like, this is how you want to start the year. What's one thing that's in for 2026?
00:53What is in for 2026? Faux-fur. People are rocking with the faux-fur.
00:59Make sure it's faux, though.
01:01And what else?
01:07Bio-freeze for the toes.
01:11That's what it is right now for me.
01:12Do you apply before or after they start hurting?
01:15Carry them babies down. Make sure you get that baby toe.
01:19That's what I've been doing.
01:20That's a good tip. I'm going to take that.
01:22And what's one thing that's out?
01:25Well, it's not out, but should be out.
01:29Underwear, garments.
01:30I am so tired of wearing these Spanx.
01:33My sister over here ain't wearing one today.
01:35I should be doing what she's doing.
01:36But instead, I'm spanked up.
01:40I got two bras on, believe it or not.
01:43That needs to go. It needs to be out.
01:46We're leaving the Spanx in 2025. I love that.
01:48I don't know if I'm going to leave them, but they should be out because they make me look good.
01:53But, yeah.
01:55Now, you're no stranger to award shows, but what does it mean to receive this recognition for Peacemaker?
01:59Oh, it means a lot to me.
02:01You know, I've always prayed for two things.
02:04One, to be a light for other people who don't feel represented, you know, and be that representation.
02:10And also, the second is having respect in this industry.
02:13I've always prayed that, you know, that my degree at Juilliard is not mediocre.
02:20You know, like it was worth something.
02:22And so, for me, it means a lot that these critics see me in this way and put a little respect in my name today.
02:28So, I'm grateful for that.
