00:00Where have you been keeping your Emmy?
00:02I keep it on this kind of bar cabinet that is built into my house that divides my dining room and living room.
00:09I have a mid-century house, and it just sits up there next to a photograph of Muhammad Ali.
00:14It's amazing.
00:15Yes.
00:16And of course, season two is about to premiere.
00:18What's one thing from that very first episode that you can tease that you're excited for people to see?
00:24Open heart surgery?
00:25I don't know.
00:27Wow.
00:27It's John Wells directing, so I just think there's such beauty in his direction, and everyone gives great performances.
00:34I actually shadowed that episode, so I don't know.
00:37I love it all.
00:38Noah and Patrick get into it right at the top, and I love those Noah-Patrick scenes.
00:42Yeah.
00:43What was that experience like shadowing?
00:45Oh, he's brilliant, and it was really a great honor to get to watch a master do what he does.
00:52He does it with such ease, and he'll correct somebody in the deep background.
00:57And tell people, like, he can see all of that at the same time, and he knows when to shoot an actor and when to be on another actor, and it was a master class.
01:09I love John Wells.
01:10I love John Wells.
01:11Now, you are a veteran in this industry, but do you feel like you get recognized the most for Dana now?
01:17Yes.
01:17It used to be a lot of two-and-a-half men.
01:19All the things that I had done, there was a lot of two-and-a-half men.
01:22That was a very popular show.
01:24How do you feel like this show has changed your life and career?
01:28It's really just been a really beautiful season.
01:30You know, I was working almost 40 years being an actor and a dancer before that, and to have this happen at this stage is, like, honestly, it just broke my heart open.
