00:00Oh!
00:02That's so cool!
00:04Up next on American Restoration.
00:06I'm bringing in my old-time vintage soda fountain.
00:10I've done these before and they've kicked my tail.
00:12They've kicked it hard.
00:14Make this thing look happy.
00:16I promised to take Kelly to the lake for a day,
00:18and the timing couldn't be worse.
00:20Don't answer that.
00:22I got it. I got it.
00:24I just want to take his phone and throw it out the window.
00:26I had something you just had to see, and I think you're gonna like it.
00:28Oh, wow!
00:30That is awesome!
00:34Look at a man's workbench.
00:36You see his passions.
00:38His work's in progress.
00:42The things that drive him crazy.
00:46Projects that...
00:48You get the point.
00:50Anyway, every workbench tells a story.
00:52And this is ours.
00:54American Restoration.
00:58My favorite projects are the ones that are a total blast from the past.
01:04The ones that spark memories and feelings that I haven't had since I was a kid.
01:08That's what I love the most about my job.
01:12What the heck?
01:14Are you Rick?
01:16That's who I'm looking for.
01:17I am Rick.
01:18Rick, my name is Owen.
01:19And I'm bringing in my old-time vintage soda fountain.
01:22Good to meet you.
01:23You guys do soda fountains?
01:26Yeah, we have.
01:27We have before.
01:28I got one that needs a little bit of help.
01:30Fonz, can you grab the forklift?
01:31I'll help you.
01:32I want him to be historic and make it look good like it used to.
01:35And I sat at the soda fountain in the drugstores in Brookings, South Dakota, a little farm town where I grew up.
01:40Man, that's pretty cool.
01:41Well, that's what I thought when I got it about 20 years ago.
01:44You know how soda fountains started?
01:46I guess I'm gonna find out.
01:47Pharmacists had a lot of drugs.
01:49Like in the 1850s, all these things were coming out, different drugs, all kinds of stuff.
01:53So these pharmacists would end up concocting something in a drink.
01:57That's how the soda fountain started.
01:59By the early 1900s, almost every single drugstore in America had a soda fountain,
02:03which served up cures for headaches and backaches and also put a little pep in your step.
02:08But they were also pretty addictive because they were loaded with stuff like cocaine and caffeine until the government started regulating them.
02:15In the 1950s, kids were at soda fountains and there'd be a soda jerk on this side.
02:19There'd be cola, there'd be lemon, there's vanilla, there's cherry.
02:22You'd say, I need a cherry coke or whatever you wanted.
02:25And you'd pull the coke and you'd bring the syrup out, which basically would just turn the thing up and boom, off the game.
02:30I've been there.
02:31Yeah, yeah, it's awesome, awesome.
02:32So I'm gonna be there again.
02:34I'd like to have you grind all the paint off and smooth it down, of course, and take any little dents out.
02:38And then do one of those fabulous paint jobs that I understand you guys can do.
02:42Okay.
02:43And then some little caricatures on it.
02:45So do some...
02:46Happiness.
02:47Bright yellow, perhaps.
02:48So you want art on both sides.
02:50Right.
02:51Make this thing look happy.
02:53How much is it gonna cost me to do all this?
02:55To do all the body work on the outside, do all the body work on the front, get it to where we can paint it, paint up some kind of design on the outside.
03:02That's what I want.
03:03All that stuff done, I'm looking at about between 95 and 10 grand.
03:09Wow, you're right up there, aren't you?
03:11I am a little up there.
03:12It's a lot of work.
03:13I've done these before and they've kicked my tail.
03:15They have.
03:16They've kicked it hard.
03:17If I didn't have the money, I'd have to argue.
03:19Right.
03:20But I got it, so what the hell.
03:21Okay.
03:22Let's do it.
03:23All right, bud.
03:24Thank you Owen, very much.
03:25My pleasure.
03:26It better be super fantastic because 10,000 bucks is a hefty little chunk of change.
03:32Cheese.
03:33This soda fountain is gonna be a pretty complicated job and the timing couldn't be worse.
03:44Babe, I'm so excited, aren't you?
03:46I promised to take Kelly to the lake for a day because she's been all over me about spending some time together.
03:51So I gotta get these guys started on this job or it's never gonna get done on schedule.
03:56The soda fountains are such a huge project and every one of them is different.
03:59Dave, we have to make two doors, okay?
04:01But we want an area to let air in and with those louvers that come down the side, that'll let the air blow basically right through the machine and keep this compressor unit nice and cold.
04:10Right.
04:11Kyle, when we get the compressor out, we need to find a specialist that can deal with the carbonation end of it and the cowboy has to take and hand polish every bit of the stainless steel.
04:21He's gonna be a happy camper.
04:22Yeah, well, I'm not telling him.
04:23I really don't like leaving the shop with so many things going on, but the guys know what to do.
04:28Cowboy's gonna be polishing for days and Tyler's gonna call me if anything goes wrong.
04:32Got your swim trunks?
04:33You packed.
04:34You better have my swim trunks.
04:36It's gonna take you two seconds to change your shirt.
04:39I didn't in time.
04:40I really didn't.
04:41I was just, you know, in a rush.
04:42I'm tired of seeing that shirt.
04:44Don't answer that.
04:47I got it.
04:48I got it.
04:49Hello?
04:50Hey, Rick.
04:51It's Andy Marcello.
04:52Hey, how you been?
04:54I recently restored a project for Andy.
04:57Repeat customers are a crucial part of my business.
04:59So the fact that he's calling me back so soon is definitely a good sign.
05:03Hey, I'm doing well.
05:04I'm hoping you could come on out.
05:05I recently picked up something very cool.
05:07We're not far from there, actually.
05:09Absolutely.
05:10If it's possible, come on over.
05:11Yeah, I can, uh...
05:13Yeah, you know what?
05:14I tell you what.
05:15Give me 15 minutes and I'll come take a look at it and we'll see what we can do.
05:19I appreciate it, Rick.
05:20All right.
05:21Bye.
05:22What was that?
05:23It was Andy.
05:24He's got something he wants me to look at.
05:25Right now.
05:26Well, he's on the way.
05:27I figure, why not?
05:28Right?
05:29Un-freaking-believable.
05:30I cannot believe he is taking calls.
05:32We're five minutes away from the lake.
05:34I just want to take his phone and throw it out the window.
05:37It'll only take a second.
05:38Hey.
05:39Yeah, I've heard that before.
05:41Hey, Andy.
05:42Hey, Rick.
05:43Told you it was right around the corner.
05:44Absolutely.
05:45You remember...
05:46Hey, Kelly.
05:47Hey, Andy.
05:48I had something you just had to see and I...
05:49Okay, okay.
05:50I hope you don't mind.
05:51Rick, you are absolutely gonna love this.
05:53Oh, wow.
05:55This is awesome.
05:57I called Rick today to see if he would like to take a look at my vintage phone booth.
06:01All we need is Superman.
06:02Yeah.
06:03I've been a customer of Rick's in the past.
06:05He worked on my El Rey Club billboard and did such a great job.
06:09I knew he would take a look at this phone booth and make it great.
06:12This is cool.
06:13Yeah, I think it's a 1970s phone booth and I just love it.
06:17I'd almost say it's probably more 50s than 70s.
06:20You think?
06:21Why do you say that?
06:22Because in the 70s, they came out with the aluminum and the glass on phone booths.
06:25This was earlier than that.
06:26I mean, pay phones went all the way back to like the 1800s and they became huge.
06:30I mean, there was like 80,000 of these things through America at one time.
06:33Oh, man.
06:34There was tons of phone booths.
06:35You went inside the phone booth.
06:36You got in here and when you closed the door, that light would come on inside there.
06:40And, you know, a lot of people, it was a big thing.
06:42There'd be a big line of people waiting for you in here and you're just inside here using the phone.
06:47You got a fan.
06:48You're sitting down.
06:49You're making a call, man.
06:50Everybody outside is like, hey, I got to make a call.
06:53What I love about this phone booth is the sense of nostalgia I get.
06:56It takes me back to a time when there weren't cell phones attached to everybody's ear.
07:00You don't happen to have a phone, do you?
07:03I actually do.
07:04You do?
07:05Yes, I do.
07:06My ultimate goal is not just to see it look good.
07:09I want to be able to use this.
07:10It's going to be my home phone.
07:12The phone's actually almost as cool as the whole phone.
07:14Oh, yeah, yeah.
07:15See, this is very old.
07:16So this is the original phone.
07:17Oh, it is.
07:18Oh, fantastic.
07:19Yeah, this is the original phone.
07:20Well, I'm hoping to have it working again.
07:22I want to see this in my house.
07:23I want to be able to sit down, call up my brother.
07:26If we can get everything working the way it did back when it was sitting in a train station
07:29or a who knows where.
07:31I would love to have it like that.
07:32Yeah, I'll see what I can do for that.
07:34Well, I guess I got to ask, what would it cost to make this look so good?
07:37Brand new, ready to go.
07:39I'm looking to restore this to probably $8,500 for everything.
07:43Whew.
07:45Let's do it.
07:46You want to do it?
07:47Yeah, may as well.
07:48All right.
07:49All right.
07:50Why not?
07:51You'll love it, Don.
07:52You'll love it.
07:53Make it happen.
07:54Okay.
07:55$8,500 is a lot of money, but I know the quality of the work and I know the importance
07:59of saving things like this.
08:00So I guess, no length?
08:04Not today.
08:05Does that mean you're not talking to me for another day?
08:09I guess so.
08:12I'm here at Rick's to bring in my Harley Davidson bicycle.
08:15It's got the Harley Davidson emblem here.
08:17Yeah.
08:18Then it's got another company logo up here on the front.
08:21That's weird.
08:22The fact that there's two different company stickers on the bike is throwing up a major
08:26red flag.
08:27Here we go.
08:28One, two, three.
08:29Wow.
08:30Oh my God.
08:31That is incredible.
08:39What are you guys doing back?
08:41A customer called and he said I had something big to come look at.
08:44So I got excited, took a little detour and it was a phone booth.
08:49It's a big old phone booth for a job.
08:50So I need to get unloaded and I need to get started.
08:52So no lake?
08:53Nope.
08:54He better get that thing working because that's the only thing he's going to be talking to
08:58for a long time.
08:59Ah, no.
09:00I will do it.
09:02We'll go.
09:03That's really pissed her off.
09:04Yeah, well, I need the business more than I need to go to the lake.
09:08The lake will always be there.
09:09Yeah.
09:10Business will not always be there.
09:11Remember that.
09:12Now, you want to help me unload it?
09:13Yeah.
09:14Okay.
09:15Thanks.
09:16Thanks.
09:17Since we're not going to the lake, my buddy Ron is coming down ahead of schedule to help
09:23figure out this soda fountain.
09:24Hey.
09:25What's up, buddy?
09:26Good to see you, buddy.
09:27How you doing, man?
09:28Good, good.
09:29The plumbing technology has changed so much over the last 60 years.
09:32So he's going to help me get this thing up and running again.
09:35I'm glad you came over.
09:36Here's what I need to do.
09:37A customer dropped this off for us to restore for him.
09:39And he's assuming that he's going to pull on this and we're going to get soda.
09:44It doesn't happen because as you can see, it's only got one inlet.
09:48Right.
09:49You don't have syrup and soda.
09:50This is circa 1950s and...
09:52They didn't have it.
09:53No.
09:54It wasn't ran like that.
09:55So what you and I are going to do, we're going to modernize this.
09:57So we've got to take this old version and make it new.
10:00The heads will still do the same, but we're mixing everything down here.
10:04Right?
10:05Everything's mixed down here.
10:06When you use your head, your mix is already done.
10:09It's already done.
10:10That's what we're going to try to do.
10:11Right, right.
10:12Whether or not it happens, we're going to see.
10:15Well, maybe you can go ahead and do what you've got to do first and paint it next.
10:18Not really.
10:19Not in the shape it's in.
10:20We've got to get the refrigeration deck.
10:21Okay.
10:22Figure out where we're going to put the carbonator.
10:24Okay.
10:25How we're going to get the lines.
10:26How we're going to chill the soda.
10:27Yeah.
10:28Because if the soda comes out above 40 degrees, it's flat.
10:30All the CO2 escapes.
10:32Okay.
10:33So we're going to have to get before it comes out.
10:36Okay.
10:37You've got your work cut out for you on this one.
10:39Okay.
10:40Well, I figured you're going to say that.
10:41I can't believe how much work I got to do on this machine before Ron can even touch the plumbing on this thing.
10:47I knew it was going to be complicated, but this is way more than I bargained for.
10:51Weird.
10:52You ready to tear that apart?
10:53Yeah.
10:54We're restoring an early 1900s phone booth for a customer, and Tyler is looking at the rotary phone like he just uncovered some rollick from the Egyptian tomb.
11:10Okay.
11:11All right.
11:12Here's how it works.
11:13Way back in the olden days, you dial the operator and the operator to tell you how much you need to put in, and then boom, she'd connect your calls after you did it.
11:18Let's say you called the operator and said it's 50 cents.
11:21Okay.
11:22You know what I'm going to do?
11:23I'm going to put in a dime, and the operator's going to think, hey, that was 50 cents.
11:27So how did they know?
11:28I don't know.
11:29There was little ding systems.
11:31When you put the money in there, it goes ding, ding, ding, ding.
11:34Put a quarter in there, it goes ding, ding.
11:36You put a dime in, it goes ding.
11:38You put a nickel in, it goes dong.
11:40Okay.
11:41Okay.
11:42So you get it?
11:43Yeah.
11:44Isn't that weird how things have changed?
11:45Like I couldn't put that in my pocket.
11:46Like I wouldn't.
11:47It's not like my friends wouldn't think I was cool if I had that.
11:50Yeah.
11:51That's not touch screen.
11:52See these wires that come in here?
11:53There's four wires that come down through this system.
11:55So two here, two here.
11:56That's correct.
11:57Okay.
11:58Yeah.
11:59And each one of the thermal blocks, it takes off.
12:00Hey, Tyler.
12:01Yeah.
12:02What's up?
12:03Do you want something to eat?
12:04I'm hungry.
12:05Yeah.
12:06Can you just give me a Philly cheesesteak, please?
12:07Yeah, absolutely.
12:08You are just in the doghouse.
12:12How long am I going to get this silent?
12:14You should have just gone to the lake.
12:23Hi.
12:24How's it going?
12:25Good, how are you?
12:26Good.
12:27Jimmy Johnson.
12:28Jimmy Johnson.
12:29That's a good name.
12:30What can I do for you?
12:31I was hoping you guys can take a look at something I brought in here.
12:33Okay.
12:34What you got?
12:35Harley Davidson bike.
12:36A Harley bike?
12:37You know, it's not a bike.
12:38It's a bicycle.
12:39It's a bicycle.
12:40It's a bicycle.
12:41I'm here at Rick's Restorations to bring in my early 1900s Harley Davidson bicycle.
12:46What I love about this bike is the style, the retro look.
12:49And it also has a Harley Davidson emblem on it.
12:52And I've never seen that before.
12:53And I think that's really cool.
12:54Harley Davidson motorcycles are legendary.
12:57But not too long after the company began, they started producing bicycles to cash in on their popularity.
13:03But they only made these things for about five years.
13:06So they're really rare and extremely collectible.
13:09The thing is, it's got the Harley Davidson emblem here.
13:12Yeah?
13:13But then it's got another company logo up here on the front.
13:16Sterling?
13:17Um, that's weird.
13:18The fact that there's two different company stickers on the bike is throwing up a major red flag.
13:23I think somebody just threw some stickers on here to make it look cool.
13:26It's either a Harley or a Sterling.
13:29But it can't be both.
13:30So what do you think about this?
13:31Do you think it's authentic?
13:32One of the big designs of Harley was they had a crank assembly that was stamped on it HD.
13:37And it's not on this one.
13:39And the other thing that's sort of throwing me in the other direction is the nameplate on there.
13:42Um, and actually the style of the bike, this design here and the fenders, I do not think it's a Harley.
13:50And I'm thinking it's probably a 1930 Sterling.
13:53That's surprising.
13:54Yeah.
13:55Probably a little disappointing, but it's still an excellent find.
13:57I mean, Sterling bikes were the Rolls Royce of bikes.
14:00Their slogan, actually, was built like a watch.
14:03Yeah.
14:04They built stuff to last.
14:05And this is a prime example.
14:06Right.
14:0780 years old.
14:08Still get on and ride it.
14:09Yeah, still ticking.
14:10So what do you want to do to this thing?
14:11Well, I was thinking about restoring it, but, uh, you know, I guess it's going to depend on how much restoring it's going to be.
14:16Well, they upholstery the paint, all the chrome, getting new tires.
14:19Total restoration on this bike on everything is going to be $4,000.
14:24$4,000?
14:25Yeah.
14:26It's a lot more work than people think on bikes.
14:28And we're lucky we don't need any parts because those are costing us a fortune.
14:31I was hoping we could do it for maybe $3,000.
14:34That's kind of where my budget's at.
14:36I think the lowest I can get down is going to be, I'd say I can go to $38,000.
14:41Yeah.
14:42That's going to be about as low as I can get.
14:44Yeah, I don't think I'm going to move forward with restoring it yet.
14:48But it's cool finding out all the information now that I know it's not a Harley.
14:51It kind of looks cool the way it is.
14:53So I think I'm just going to keep it like this.
14:55All right.
14:56Okay.
14:57I really appreciate your time.
14:58Yeah, thank you very much for bringing it in.
15:00I appreciate that.
15:01I think I'm going to find out the bike wasn't a Harley Davidson.
15:03But the story about it being a Sterling was really cool.
15:05So I'm going to just take the bike and move on.
15:08Hey, Rick.
15:10What's going on, Andy?
15:11Good to see you.
15:12Good to see you.
15:13I came here to Rick's today to pick up my vintage phone booth and I can't wait to see it.
15:18You probably didn't even know what was going on.
15:20But I was a little in the doghouse after I went by and stopped by your place and picked it up.
15:25Because we didn't get the lake that day and I was in the doghouse.
15:30When the check cashes, she'll forgive you.
15:32All right.
15:33That's all good.
15:34All right.
15:35You ready?
15:36Yeah, absolutely.
15:37Let's go.
15:38I told Rick I wanted to see this looking like I can make a phone call in it.
15:39I want to make a phone call in it.
15:41So I can't wait to see if he did everything I asked.
15:44Here we go.
15:45One, two, three.
15:46Wow.
15:47What do you think?
15:48Are you kidding me?
15:49It's cool.
15:50Oh, my God.
15:51That is incredible.
15:52I love it.
15:53When he pulled that gate back, it just looks great.
15:55Everything is pristine, but it has the character of back when it was sitting in a train station
16:00somewhere.
16:01It's really, really well done.
16:02I absolutely love the color and the finish of the wood.
16:05It looks vintage.
16:06Robert really, really, really worked his tail off on this thing.
16:09I mean, in order to get this like this, there's a lot involved.
16:12You know?
16:13We tried to match the wood.
16:14You know, the wood on the front was sort of a maple.
16:16And it's hard.
16:17Maple has not very much grain in it.
16:18So he created some grain and then, you know, made it look like it wasn't brand new.
16:22Not a brand new piece of wood.
16:23That's what I love.
16:24You know I love that.
16:25Yeah.
16:26Beautiful.
16:27Glass has been all redone, pulled it apart, cleaned it all up.
16:29Then the inside.
16:30Oh, my God.
16:31Look at that.
16:32Is that cool?
16:33That's bad.
16:34That's really cool.
16:35I know the one thing that you wanted was to be able to put it in your house and actually
16:37be able to go in the phone booth and make a phone call.
16:40That's exactly what we did.
16:41We took the phone, totally went through it, rewired it to where now, as soon as you plug it
16:45into your wall line, you immediately have the phone.
16:48So you put a dime in and you make a call.
16:50Can I get in?
16:51Yeah.
16:52Fantastic.
16:53Try it out.
16:54Test drive it.
16:55Absolutely.
16:56Yeah.
16:57Oh.
16:58Can I borrow a dime?
16:59Good gosh, Andy.
17:01I've already spent enough.
17:02I got a refund.
17:03That's good.
17:04All right.
17:05Here we go.
17:06Mom?
17:07That is incredible.
17:08Being able to put a coin in, hear that ding for the first time, and then just dialing,
17:16I really did feel like a kid again.
17:19I absolutely love it, Rick.
17:21It is better than I expected.
17:23You get an A-plus from me.
17:24It's really good stuff.
17:25Thanks a lot.
17:26I'm glad I got an A-plus there because, believe me, I almost had to sleep in that thing.
17:30I mean, I got to get Kelly the lake now.
17:32I hope Kelly will forgive you.
17:33All right.
17:34When people see that they can use a vintage classic phone booth, I promise they're going
17:38to put down their smartphone, stop texting, and they're going to want to make a phone
17:41call.
17:42That's going to be cool.
17:43Plus, I'm going to make a lot of money on dimes and quarters.
17:45What's the best way to remove paint off of wood that's over 40 years old?
17:50A. Sandblast it.
17:52B. Chemically remove it.
17:54C. Scrape it.
17:56The answer is coming up.
17:58The correct answer is B. Chemically remove it.
18:10Sandblasting won't work because if you don't know what you're doing, you can destroy the
18:14wood totally.
18:15Scraping the wood will not work unless the paint is already loose to start.
18:19If you start scraping away at dry paint, you're going to damage the wood.
18:22There are products out there that will remove all the paint off of wood really, really well.
18:27And you end up with a fresh start.
18:29Everybody's been working nonstop to finish up a vintage soda fountain we're restoring.
18:35Our plumbing expert finished installing the hardware.
18:38So this machine is totally modern on the inside, but still has that classic look on the outside.
18:43Hey, Rick.
18:44Rick, good to see you.
18:45Good to see you.
18:46Good to see you.
18:47Hey, that really is.
18:48Looking good.
18:49Meet my granddaughter.
18:50Hi.
18:51She is ready to go.
18:52Your soda fountain is older than she is.
18:53You look like you're ready to go to work.
18:55I love it.
18:56Yeah, you look good.
18:57You excited?
18:58You ready for happiness?
18:59I really am excited.
19:00We're here at Rick's today, coming down to see how he's done to restore my soda fountain.
19:05Let's go on this way.
19:06We're ready.
19:07All right.
19:08There.
19:09Oh.
19:10That's so cool.
19:11Oh, and Zara.
19:12That's crazy.
19:13Oh, man.
19:14You done good.
19:15Check it out.
19:16Oh, wow.
19:17That really is good.
19:18I just love it.
19:19Look at the shine.
19:20How did you do all this?
19:21Holy .
19:22I am impressed.
19:23I really mean that.
19:24You said you were going to shine it up.
19:25I didn't think you could do that.
19:27I can hardly wait to see how that works.
19:28If you do all this, it's a nice little thing.
19:29How did you do all this?
19:31Holy .
19:32I am impressed.
19:33I really mean that.
19:34You said you were going to shine it up.
19:36I didn't think you could do that.
19:37could do that. I can hardly wait to see how that works. You saw the countertop?
19:40See the granite? I saw it when it came out. It was wonderful. Yeah. Beautiful. Oh, this is like back in the 50s. Yeah. Oh, Rick, you did. And the sides and the color. You wanted
19:50happiness, so we put the ice cream on the side. We got the lollipops and then I
19:55figured this here would just... Oh, and ice cream. I love it. I just figured that would say it all, right? Okay. All right, I walked around in the front and Harry named it
20:03Owens Ice Cream Shop. I loved it. I loved it. He really did a good job. All these different compartments here, we took those off and then we
20:13polished them all separately. And then this one here, we got all set up. It's got your sprinkles in it. This one here's got your chocolate
20:20sprinkles. And then this one here, of course, got your nuts. Are these new or did you restore them? Those are all yours. Those are yours just
20:27done. You really did a heck of a job on that. Yeah. That's really something. See now I opened that up. So now this thing here, you're
20:33CO2 bottle fit in here. And then this is your carbonator. And then back there's your
20:38compressor. You see it's all brand new. I do see it. Yeah. All right. So here's your freezer. Ice cream. You got ice cream in it. Yeah. What are you going to do for us? Do you know how to run this thing? Well, I'll give it a shot.
20:49I really am anxious to be able to get it at home and put it in the place that I got ready for it. And just walk
20:54right up there and say, I'll have a root beer float, please. You're an expert and I'm a happy little camper.
21:00All right. That's awesome. That's a good thing. Thank you. Thank you. Cheers. Cheers, guys.
21:16Sun's nice. Feels good. It's not too hot. No, it feels great out. I promised to get Kelly to the lake.
21:24And now we're here. Finally. This is to me and you and have some quality time together.
21:31Better late than never. I had to give him the silent treatment in order to get him to the lake.
21:37I had to make him suffer just a little bit. I got what I wanted. Now we're here at the lake.
21:45Don't pick it up. It could be really important. Don't touch that.
21:48Don't touch that. Isn't this nice, baby?
21:52Don't touch that.
21:55Don't touch that.
