00:00I saw a few bones in the pay pile.
00:13Is that a mammoth tusk?
00:17Rib bone, I think.
00:20Right? Rib bone?
00:24I don't know.
00:30Yeah, so things are going really well so far.
00:34You know, we're like coming out of the gate moving and we're over 2,000 ounces,
00:40but I'm waiting for something to go massively wrong because things don't go this smoothly for very long.
00:46Six weeks into the season, 30-year-old Parker Schnabel's plan
00:51to mine more than $35 million in gold is right on schedule.
00:56Tyson is being an animal this year. He's done over 1,500 ounces already here on Dominion.
01:03And then Mitch is doing a really good job over at Sulphur.
01:07Sulphur had over a 350-ounce cleanup last week, so that's crazy.
01:13Parker's plan includes squeezing every ounce he can out of his Sulphur Creek claim,
01:19where foreman Mitch Blaschke has been hunting for gold-rich pockets the old-timers missed.
01:26You know, it's been full throttle since the beginning of the season here in Sulphur,
01:30trying to get all the work done before the water license expires.
01:32Just want to make sure that we get what's ours and don't leave anything behind.
01:38Mitch is down to just three weeks to get it all done.
01:42Making the job harder, his top dirt mover, Brennan Rule,
01:47was recently sent to open ground at their next claim.
01:50Right now we're threading a bunch of needles with Brennan trying to have the Indian River ready,
01:55Mitch trying to have Sulphur done before the water license expires.
01:58We need to get the whole project done, reclaimed, and be out.
02:12How's it going?
02:12Good.
02:14How are you?
02:14Doing well.
02:15Yeah.
02:16Nice to be getting to the close of this one.
02:17We can start the next project.
02:19Yeah.
02:19Holy, that's a hole.
02:22Wow.
02:24Very muddy hole.
02:34Nobody's done any panning in here, I'm guessing.
02:36Not on this upper section.
02:37We were trying to get it out as fast as we could, get her to the plant, and...
02:41Right.
02:41Well, I'll pan some of this, just out of curiosity.
02:48All right, well, let's see what we've got.
02:50Holy smokes.
03:16That's a hell of a pan.
03:17There must be 100 pieces of gold in there.
03:18Wow.
03:19Yeah.
03:20That's pretty wild.
03:23What do you think?
03:25It's worth staying here a little longer and getting that last little bit of pay.
03:29There's gold there, and that's what we're here for.
03:32But we got a lot of sluicing to do already this year, so...
03:34There's a lot of sluicing to do.
03:35It always turns into a lot bigger project than we think, doesn't it?
03:40I want to stand up there and look at it.
03:48How far does that go?
03:52Straight to this tree right here.
03:53That's probably where I would go to.
03:59You know, it's gonna be tight.
04:00Could just have, like, Brennan come over here.
04:02That's the best chance that you've got at getting the pay down here in time and getting it ran.
04:07That'd be sweet.
04:08All right.
04:08I'll keep you updated.
04:10Over the last six weeks, Mitch has dug out all the pay pockets of the two-acre cut
04:16and is sluicing the last of its stockpiled pay.
04:19But Parker believes the old-timer's dredge missed even more gold
04:25and thinks the pay streak extends up to the road.
04:29He wants Mitch to expand the cut by another two acres
04:33and sluice all of its pay before the water license runs out.
04:41If Parker's move pays off, he could bank another 500 ounces,
04:46worth $1.75 million.
04:51Just when we thought sulfur here was coming to a close
04:54in typical Parker fashion, now he's saying, you know,
04:57hey, I want even more dirt out of there.
04:59We're pushing this project all the way to its absolute limit.
05:02So I'm just hoping we can get everything done here in sluice,
05:04but it's just messing with our timeline.
05:06All right, the cavalry's here.
05:17We could certainly use the help.
05:18Whoo!
05:21We're here.
05:22Happy to help, man.
05:25To give Mitch a fighting chance, Parker has sent in the big guns.
05:31So we've got five trucks, two excavators, and the loader feeding the plant.
05:36We're on a hot streak right now.
05:38Let's stay with it, finish it off,
05:40and get every speck of gold we can get out of here.
05:44You know, everything up here is risk over reward.
05:47And right now, the risk is we got ourselves a lot of dirt to move here,
05:51not much time.
05:52But Parker thinks it's worth the reward.
06:07First gold way of the year, you're always hoping for a good one, right?
06:11It can set, you know, kind of set the pace for the rest of the year.
06:14We had the opposite of that.
06:15A hundred miles away, Rick Ness is still trying to recover from a major setback
06:22after failing to obtain the water license needed to mine his gold-rich Duncan Creek claim.
06:28The diamond cut on his new claim at Lightning Creek delivered just seven ounces.
06:36We're always in a race against time.
06:38But, you know, we start having gold ways like that,
06:40it just becomes even more and more serious, you know.
06:42There's no way we can make money off of that,
06:44but that doesn't mean that we can just, you know, call it quits here.
06:46Rick now finds himself in deep water.
06:49He's had to shut down wash plant Rocky, but has just one week to pay landowner Troy Taylor
06:57100 ounces to complete his purchase of Lightning Creek.
07:01We've got to move on. We've got to strip some new ground.
07:04We've already started that. We've moved up the valley.
07:05We've just got to pivot and pivot quick.
07:09We're late to the game this season, so we had to come into this location.
07:14It's definitely not as good ground as Vegas Valley.
07:17Hopefully we can get gold out of here to at least pay the bills.
07:22Everyone's getting pretty beat down.
07:24When you see low numbers and no gold coming in, it doesn't feel too good.
07:31It's definitely getting a little stressful being a little behind the gun here.
07:34So we're going to shift over here and change the odds.
07:38Hopefully start running some pay dirt soon.
07:41This is definitely the beginning of working our way up the valley for sure.
07:46You know, we need as much uncovered as we can, but pretty much it's just going to be trial and error.
07:51We want to make sure that, you know, this is going to be good pay and not garbage.
07:56Rick's going to come down to figure out what he wants me to do moving forward.
07:58Look at this.
08:08What are you thinking, Bailey?
08:09It's like the bedrock's right there and then it goes to sand.
08:13Obviously you don't want sand, but...
08:17Interesting.
08:19There's no telling what this bedrock might do.
08:21You're probably just going to have to follow it.
08:23Yes.
08:24Some of that along the banks looks like pay.
08:27Okay.
08:27But there's a spot right there where the bigger rocks.
08:31Look at that big rock right there.
08:33That's what we want to see.
08:35Nice.
08:37Do you want that top, gravelly stuff?
08:40I think so.
08:42Yeah, I would say that's the stuff we run.
08:43Bigger rocks should mean bigger deposits of gold.
08:49Over 150,000 years ago, a giant glacier eroded and picked up gold from the Mount Hinton motherlode.
08:58A massive ice sheet bulldozed down the valley, tearing up the landscape.
09:04When the ice melted, the gold settled in scattered pockets with the heavy rocks and boulders.
09:10I like it.
09:13Get the plant running and just start hauling that to the plant, that'd be great.
09:15Yeah.
09:16You call this the boulder cut?
09:17Cool.
09:18Hopefully it's got gold in it.
09:19Okay.
09:20Thanks, man.
09:21Yep.
09:23Bailey's getting on it right here.
09:25You know, he's doing a good job of getting this stripped off and
09:27there's a lot more bigger boulders and stuff in that ground.
09:29It just looks more promising, so I've got a good feeling about that.
09:35We're all pretty excited to run this stuff.
09:37We'll get this fired up and we'll start pounding dirt through it.
09:40Well, right now we're hauling pay to the plant.
09:53This pay layer definitely looks, you know, a lot better than the diamond cut.
09:58You know, there is big rocks in here and I'm hoping it's going to be really good.
10:02Something's going on with the bucket.
10:17I'm just not feeling proper.
10:19It doesn't have any strength trying to curl right now.
10:21Hey, Ryan, you got a copy, man?
10:25Go ahead, Bailey.
10:26Yeah, something's wrong with the 750 for sure.
10:28Okay.
10:29All right, man.
10:29Give me just a minute and I'll be over.
10:30Hopefully, Ryan can get down here and figure out what's going on.
10:34Because this is our main machine.
10:36That's the only thing that we got down here that can load rock trucks quick enough.
10:39So, right now we're on a standstill.
10:54We got issued with the 750 right now.
10:57I've probably got a couple more hours worth of pay here.
11:00If there's no pay at this plant, there's no gold in the box.
11:03So, it's pretty crucial to have that thing back up and running.
11:07At Lightning Creek, the Neskru 750 excavator has gone down,
11:12preventing them from digging pay dirt from the new boulder cut.
11:18I'd zip that plate off.
11:19Let's make as much room as we can.
11:21I'll get in there and I'll crack it open.
11:28All right, where is she at?
11:34All righty.
11:36Okay.
11:37We've got a pilot hose over here that comes from the back main pump
11:41and goes all the way up just underneath the cab.
11:43That's chafing pretty bad.
11:45The 750 excavator's bucket moves forward when hydraulic fluid is pumped through a hose
11:51into a cylinder with a piston at 5,000 pounds per square inch.
11:57The bucket is then forced to retract when the cylinder is injected with hydraulic fluid
12:03by a second hose.
12:06Ryan has discovered this hose has a leak in the body of the excavator near the pump.
12:17He plans to disconnect the hose and remove it, then replace it with a new one,
12:23restoring the hydraulic system's full pressure, allowing the bucket to once again haul six yards
12:30of boulder pay dirt with each scoop.
12:33Right here?
12:42Yeah, go ahead.
12:44Oh yeah, you're good.
12:48Look at this.
12:48Yeah, right there.
12:49So this will get us going, get us back in the pay, and keep things rolling.
12:58All right, I got it all zip tied up.
13:00Gonna get our bottom plates on, get our top plate mounted back,
13:02and Bailey will be back at it.
13:05Oh, baby.
13:11All right, bottom side's good.
13:14There you go.
13:14Perfect.
13:17Hey, Bailey, 750's fixed.
13:19Thanks, Ryan.
13:25We got the 750 up and running again, which is awesome.
13:28We got three trucks.
13:29We got to hurry up here and get that pay to the plant.
13:37I really need this to work out.
13:38We all need this to work out.
13:39This is our spot for the summer, and we need to start getting some gold out of it.
13:44I'm not going to sleep well until we get a whole run out of this ground.
13:46And if it doesn't start showing us gold, well, what good is it?
13:52You know, I'm not full panic mode, but I am definitely got my hand over the
13:58I'm not going to panic mode.
14:15So far, the season went pretty good.
14:18So happy happy, as they say.
14:21A month and a half into his season, king of the clunder, Tony Beetz, is cashing in
14:28on his early bird cut.
14:30Right now, we just lose a lot going.
14:32If it runs, don't with it.
14:34Get it going.
14:36He's already banked over 1,800 ounces of his 6,500-ounce target and is now opening the corner cut.
14:49The corner cut is so big that it's going to take us a while to get down the pay.
14:55But we should have plenty of time to get it all set up and do some serious losing.
15:00The minute we'll figure it out, voila.
15:04With Mike, when he has his crummel going, well, then we'll just see what we can pull off.
15:0940 miles away on Paradise Hill.
15:16Pretty busy right now.
15:18Here at Mike's shipping department.
15:20Turn my way a bit.
15:22Let's go to the next one.
15:25I'm told to get this organized.
15:26I'm told to get this ready.
15:27I'm told to get this going.
15:29This is all Indian River .
15:30I'm just a delivery boy.
15:31The trouble's not going to happen anytime soon at this rate.
15:37If he wants to see gold, my dad's going to have to leave me alone and let me do it.
15:42At the start of the season.
15:44You gave Kevin a bunch of help getting him going.
15:46So is there anything you're going to help us with?
15:48Tony's youngest son, Mike, made a case for his own claim.
15:54There is some opportunities out there.
15:56Let's get these two places here going first and then we'll talk.
16:00Tony tasked Mike with getting their Paradise Hill operation running.
16:05But two weeks ago.
16:07I don't know what the **** is going on.
16:08Tony stole half of his equipment and crew.
16:11If he don't like it, guess what?
16:13Sucks to be him.
16:15You try to take all my people and then all my **** and then expect me to still run the hill.
16:20Now, Mike's Paradise Hill trommel still sits idle.
16:26And he has no gold coming in.
16:31Hey, what's going on?
16:36What's the problem?
16:38Right now I'm in equipment.
16:39I can do one project at a time.
16:40I can sluice, I can strip.
16:42I do not have enough to do both.
16:44Which means I ain't going to be able to run the **** trommel here.
16:47No, you will not.
16:50You know Tony's train of thought, right?
16:56The Indian is the only thing that's producing right now.
16:59So that's what he wants to focus on.
17:03It's a little bit worrisome that he takes your equipment.
17:06Why can't I start taking **** back?
17:09That would go over really well.
17:10You and I both know that.
17:12So that's not going to happen.
17:14So what are you going to do now?
17:15Do you have a plan B?
17:16We have Harold, a nice plant sitting down in Hester.
17:21It's basically stupid proof.
17:23Just got to fuse some pipe, hook it up to the pump, test the pump.
17:27And then I just got to get an excavator and a loader down there and I could be sluicing.
17:30That's great.
17:31How would you feel to just have your own claim?
17:36Just your stuff?
17:38No interference with your father?
17:39Like Kevin?
17:40I would like it.
17:42It'd be fun.
17:42You think that's going to happen?
17:44**** no.
17:45He's too busy out there.
17:46You want to have a little wager?
17:5110 bucks, I say it will.
17:53We can also say 20 bucks.
17:56You're scared?
17:5820 bucks.
18:03With that being said, I do think you have to go back to work.
18:06I'll see you later.
18:07Mike got a little bit of a rough end of the deal here because he doesn't have all the people and
18:15all the equipment, but it's just the way Tony is. He focuses on what's right in front of him,
18:23not what's 60 miles down the road.
18:27Mike plans to use what little equipment Tony left behind to make a quick score by sluicing
18:34a pile of old-timer tailings that he believes are rich in gold.
18:40But first, he has to connect the water supply to wash plant Harold.
18:46So I'm going to be testing out our new fusing machine here without no water.
18:49You ain't sluice at all.
18:53If Mike can fit through, the pipe will fit.
18:57Spread your wings and fly, Mike.
19:04It works.
19:09Right now, we lift up the pipe so I can line it up.
19:14My way.
19:16Stop.
19:17I just lined them up.
19:18I'm tightening them up now.
19:19I'm waiting for the heating pad to warm up.
19:22Put it in there.
19:23Yeah, okay.
19:24That melts the pipe so that when I push it again, it fuses.
19:30Get ready.
19:32There you go.
19:34It's working.
19:44I heard thunder.
19:46Pull the tongue, bring it over here.
19:50Now it's raining pretty good.
19:52Hold it up.
19:53Try to cover it so it doesn't get pissed on rain.
19:55If rain gets into the melted junction, air bubbles will form and the fuse will burst under high water pressure.
20:04If we don't get this fuse together, I ain't getting no water to herald.
20:13Yeah, that should be good.
20:22The rain seems to be stopping.
20:24You guys can take it off.
20:25Before Mike can test if the fuses will hold, he needs to connect the pipe to the pump across the creek.
20:33Lift it up in the air.
20:41Yeah, it's looking good.
20:45Excellent.
20:45That's good, Zach.
20:46Pull it in.
20:52Cut.
20:52Next step is to put the suction in.
20:56Chain this up.
20:58Try not to get hit in the face with a bucket because it's not on my bucket list to do.
21:02The pipes are all hooked up, fused together.
21:16All I have to do is test fire the pump, make sure everything's working good.
21:21I have enough water, that's good.
21:40That's lovely.
21:41I love it.
21:43I'm firing up.
21:51Everything's working.
21:54First scoop into herald.
21:56Here we go.
22:02For the first time this season, Mike is on the gold.
22:09Nice to finally get this thing going.
22:11Got it there.
22:21Man, it was brutal.
22:34There's no way we would have made this happen without the trucks and the extra help up here.
22:39But we are finally down to pay, and we're going to load that in the trucks and haul it down to rock sand.
22:46At Sulphur Creek, Mitch Blaschke has hit pay in the first section of the new two-acre extension.
22:54Now, his crew is in a race to sluice it all before the water license runs out in less than three weeks.
23:01Holy .
23:06Loader operator Sean Holcroft is feeding the new pay through wash plant Roxanne.
23:13Parker, he's got some deadlines going.
23:15So we really got to bust our balls here and get moving.
23:18I got this little 220 loader.
23:21This thing's a little ancient.
23:22Still able to wash rocks with the plant, but she's a bit of a rough ride.
23:26I have my second year down here now.
23:28A big step up for me.
23:29A little bit more responsibilities.
23:30They're letting me do a lot more.
23:32It's pretty awesome to have this opportunity.
23:34I really love it.
23:42I don't know what the going on with this thing.
23:46Feels like you got the brakes are locking up.
23:51Let's take half load.
23:53Oh my .
23:56painful, man.
24:00Getting a low hydraulic oil board in here.
24:02Hey, Mitch.
24:08It's 220 here.
24:10It's up real bad.
24:11I guess they got no power.
24:13Barely making it up this ramp.
24:14There's no way I'm going to be able to keep up with this, even at 100 yards an hour.
24:18This is not what we need right now.
24:26Unfortunately, with 220 being down right now, we're going to shut Roxanne down.
24:31Shutting down Roxanne could mean losing over $8,000 an hour.
24:37Parker has all these ambitions and things he wants us to do this season, but we got one old
24:42loader out here, and right now we're not sleucing.
24:45To fix the loader, Mitch calls in mechanic Taylor Matika.
24:53I've got an alarm for low hydraulic oil.
24:56You can see there's nothing on the sight glass.
24:57With the machine running, the transmission oil was way high.
25:04It should be at the bottom of the sight glass here.
25:07We're way over full.
25:08So what caused this is the parking brake.
25:11And it's got a piston inside with seals that release the parking brake.
25:15These seals have failed, and the parking brake is dragging, and it's filling the transmission with
25:20hydraulic oil.
25:21I'm just going to pull the drain plug on the transmission here, and we'll let her back.
25:34Hopefully it's just the seals, but if a piece of got between the piston and the housing,
25:39we might have a piston, and that's going to be a huge problem.
25:45The 220 loader's parking brake is spring-loaded and controlled by hydraulic pressure.
25:52To access the brake, Taylor will first cage it by using three bolts that compress the springs,
25:58releasing the brake and securing the piston to the brake cover.
26:03He will then remove the 16 bolts that hold the cover in place and lift off the caged parking brake
26:09piston.
26:11Taylor can then remove and replace the damaged seals before reinstalling the brake, uncaging the springs,
26:18and refilling the hydraulic oil, allowing the parking brake to function properly.
26:25We're just buzzing the parking brake out here. We've got it caged with these three bolts.
26:33There we go. We'll take it out, put it on the back of my truck. Hopefully this thing's not
26:37because we can't afford a downloader. You can see here there's no real damage to the piston,
26:45but the parking brake seal is completely we need to replace it. Sean was right to give me a shout
26:51right away. We'll swap the seals out and put this thing back together. Let's get started.
26:56We'll peel these seals off. We're at the assembly stage now, just putting these seals in.
27:05Hey, Taylor. You got a copy, Taylor?
27:07Yeah, go ahead.
27:09How's it going over there, man?
27:11We're putting new seals in the parking brake right now.
27:13Thank God it was just the seals and we had them in stock.
27:15Give us about an hour and a half, two hours, and this thing will be up and running.
27:19All right, man. We'll be ready for it.
27:21Mitch is chomping at the bit to get this thing up and running. Then it's just, you know,
27:24race against time to get this thing back together. It's all good.
27:41Fill it with transmission oil. We can be back to making money.
27:47Transmission's full. Parking brakes reassembled, resealed.
27:51Everything's hooked up. Lay down. Good boy.
28:06I'm going to take it down to Sean so they can go fire up Roxanne.
28:16Oh, yeah, buddy. Thanks, man.
28:19Five hours after shutting down and $40,000 of gold production lost,
28:25Roxanne is back in the game.
28:27We're washing rocks. Roxanne's shaking.
28:31Getting that gold.
28:32Now we got Roxanne on a good clip here. It's sluicing along very nicely.
28:38We're pushing this project here at Sulphur all the way to its absolute limit.
28:42We're getting through it, but we're not out of the woods yet.
28:46We understand we're not mining Vegas Valley. It's different.
28:54We understand we're not mining Vegas Valley.
29:15It's different.
29:16It's up for us to prove that there is something here.
29:19It's going to be nonstop.
29:20It's not going to be an easy season.
29:24I think this will be our toughest season with Rick.
29:27Rick's crew is sluicing pay dirt from the new boulder cut, which they hope will finally
29:33deliver some gold.
29:34We're going to probably work our way up this valley probably all season.
29:38Hopefully, you know, the farther we go or the more that we run, the better it looks.
29:44Guys, I need you all to come meet me at the lead on here.
29:49I want all of you there.
29:52What's going on?
29:53I got some news.
29:59What's going on?
30:00I got some news.
30:04What's going on?
30:05I got some news.
30:11What's going on?
30:12I got some news.
30:13What's going on?
30:14What's going on?
30:15I got some news.
30:16We got a water license at Lower Duncan.
30:17Really?
30:18Yes.
30:19Yeah.
30:20Yeah.
30:21That's actually really good news.
30:22I got some for you guys.
30:23What's going on?
30:24I got some for you guys.
30:25I got some for you guys.
30:30Nice.
30:31I got a job.
30:32I got a job.
30:33I got a job.
30:36I got a job.
30:37I got a job.
30:38Yeah.
30:39I got a job.
30:40I got a job.
30:41I got a job.
30:42I got a job.
30:43I got a job.
30:44I got a job.
30:45Oh, yeah.
30:46Oh, yeah.
30:47Oh, yeah.
30:48That's actually really good news.
30:49I got something for you guys.
30:51Oh, yeah.
30:52We got the news today from the attorney.
31:09They granted an extension until November 2025.
31:11We can go break ground in Vegas Valley, start draining it, we can get gold from Vegas Valley
31:15this year.
31:16Was that a verified email?
31:17A verified email, yes.
31:18Okay, good.
31:19We 100% have a water license, a land use permit, and everything at Lower Duncan.
31:26In just four years, Rick's claim on Lower Duncan paid out nearly 6,000 ounces.
31:32But after losing the water license, he had to abandon it, including a pay pile that could
31:39contain more than $1.4 million in gold.
31:43We already got a pile up there ready to run, and we can actually run that now.
31:49So what does that mean for this deal?
31:52Well, that's a good point because we can't just walk away from this.
31:55I promised Troy another 100 ounces to buy Lightning Creek.
31:59I'm not just going to pull 100 ounces out of here and give it to Troy and walk the way.
32:02We've got to pull some serious gold out of here, but this is really good news.
32:06I don't even think you've seen the best out of Vegas Valley yet.
32:09And I'm hoping we haven't seen the best out of this.
32:11Yeah.
32:11You know, I think our future is really bright.
32:13I've got a lot to figure out, but we've got a water license, and we are going back to
32:17Vegas Valley.
32:18This is cause for celebration.
32:19Yeah.
32:20Yeah, guys.
32:21All right.
32:22It's real.
32:23You know, in my head right now, I'm very happy.
32:29There's a lot going on right now.
32:30It's like one extreme to the other, right?
32:32We had no water license.
32:33Now, we've got a water license in two spots, you know.
32:36I want to just run to Vegas Valley.
32:37I know the gold's there, but I've got obligations on Lightning Creek.
32:39You know, I owe Troy 100 ounces, you know, that's a quarter million dollars.
32:42So there's a lot to figure out, but at the end of the day, this is good news.
32:45At Paradise Hill, despite a lack of equipment, Mike is determined to prove to his dad that
33:14he can bring in the gold.
33:17Just careful not to overload it.
33:20It's nice to get this going.
33:21It's exactly what I wanted.
33:23Closer and closer every time.
33:26Oh .
33:27Uh, we got a gasket blown out on this pump.
33:31Shut it down.
33:35Close the bypass.
33:44Ah, , this is going to be a pain in the ass.
33:49You know, but that's got to get fixed before we can keep going.
33:53I'm going to lift this up, take these off so I can get this little orange piece here.
33:57And I can check the rubber.
34:03If you hop in the excavator, I'll wrap it around and we'll just lift it.
34:06Yeah, because these are coming off like butter.
34:19My gasket's ripped completely.
34:24Yeah, she ripped right apart.
34:27My only two rubbers I got, too small or even too big?
34:32We can make that work, though.
34:37You know what I mean?
34:38Cut holes.
34:40We're going to have to around with this .
34:46What we're going to do is mark out all the holes, and then we'll just push the bolt
34:49holes through.
34:57Then I'm going to cut, and yeah, that bolt will fit through it.
35:02Yeah, there should be 12.
35:08It's a little scabby, but it'll work.
35:10For the bushfix gasket to work, it must form a tight seal between the two metal flanges.
35:17A little bit more of my weight.
35:18There we go.
35:19If we do this and it works, it should last until forever.
35:29Hey, that's my butt.
35:32Let her down.
35:34Let her down.
35:41That's tight.
35:42It should all work.
36:02Hey, I'm Colby.
36:03Hop in the water.
36:04Let's get going.
36:05Finally getting this done.
36:09My dad will be happy to get any gold.
36:11So I'm going to grab every ounce of gold I can out of that dirt.
36:15Between me and Colby, we should be able to get this thing going.
36:19This will be running for the rest of the season.
36:21Mike Beetz may be dreaming of his own Klondike kingdom, but there is already a crown he wears
36:37proud.
36:38According to everyone, I'm the king of around, so there should be nothing new.
36:45Go chase the beaver.
36:47You make me do it.
36:51I leave you guys alone for what, two minutes and then you're around again?
36:57Let's go.
36:58Nah, just around.
37:00Whoa.
37:01Oh, yeah.
37:02Nice glasses.
37:03Thanks, man.
37:04How are you?
37:05No fire?
37:06No.
37:07Too hot for that.
37:08It's hot.
37:09Summer finally got here.
37:10Yeah, it came fast.
37:11It was a smart move to pivot from a diving cut.
37:12There's no way we can make a living off of it.
37:39every way there's boulders there yeah it is nicer material compared to that stuff that we just
37:43dug out at the start of the diamond cut so we're on the right track yeah well i guess maybe we
37:48should weigh up the gold rick's previous spot the diamond cut produced just 7.35 ounces
37:57now he's hoping the new boulder cut will deliver at least 30 ounces for its runtime all right count
38:05it out one two five seven eight nine ten twelve eighteen twenty twenty two twenty two point three
38:22five worth seventy eight thousand dollars definitely an improvement we gotta look at it that way three
38:32times better yeah i mean i obviously what that water license coming is huge um but a lot of
38:39decisions come with that you know there's a lot of pieces that have to fall and you know fall into
38:43place what's going through your head tough it out here i mean we're gonna have to go back to vegas
38:49valley i mean i want to and maybe at the end of the day this is just not the happening spot right here
38:57we can't abandon this place i did buy it but the one thing that i can say is that we
39:02can't afford to just shut this down while we're you know we got to take advantage of all the
39:06sluicing hours we can get how many gold ways do we say there can be improvement before we finally
39:11say we need to get our asses back to vegas valley at the end of the day i i owe troy you know 100
39:15ounces on this ground so we can't just walk away from it right now it's the only spot we're getting
39:19gold from does he care where the 100 ounces comes from because i'm telling you now you're going to get
39:23100 ounces a lot quicker you do the math it doesn't make sense to hit 1800 ounces by the end of the season
39:28you know it's going to take a while to get vegas valley ready so the minute we're able to sluice
39:32down there we will go there that's a promise i think i think we should go there now well that's
39:37too bad i think there's gold here i hope you're right definitely the pressure's going to be on man
39:49thanks guys i appreciate it yeah this gold way was better than last week but it's not as good as what
39:55lower duncan could be there could be 400 ounces in that pay pile so you know for us to try to reach
40:001800 ounces uh we need to be down there right away well the gold total for the week 22.3 ounces yeah
40:06three times is good but the exciting thing is we got the water license extension back on duncan creek so
40:10we go back to vegas valley which is huge news now everybody's just arguing on when they want to go
40:15there immediately but the timing is just not right you know it's going to take a few days to get that
40:18ready and i'm not willing to stop getting gold from lightning creek until until it is ready so we're going to
40:23stick it out here and we'll be back in vegas valley soon hello hey guys hey guys how are you here
40:39how are you good yes good good have a seat
40:46i've been here pretty much all week sluicing around the early bird cut there doing very well actually i think
40:52busy stripping the corner cut so being going actually quite well how about you guys yeah i set up
40:59herald yeah we uh did some old time entailings didn't we might as well sluice it's sitting there oh really
41:07perfect anything you get is bonus i mean if the prize is off the day rather than throwing it away that
41:12don't make no sense did it show anything well there's a little bit i better count it quick i guess huh i'll pour
41:19slow there we go one two three four and a five and a six and a seven eight nine ten eleven twelve
41:3213 14 14 14.28 worth nearly fifty thousand dollars it all adds up it all adds up i'm proud of you
41:44that is a good little venture so you want to see what comes from the indian okay what do we got so far
41:51the early bird cut is averaging 270 ounces a week michael ready to count
42:0010 30 40 50 100 110 120 170 190
42:08200 210 210 250 250 260 270 280 290 310 320 330 340 350 390
42:20are you making the four no no it's three nine eight point one eight worth almost 1.4 million
42:30dollars and i mean you didn't make four oh my bringing the beat's season total to over 2300 ounces
42:39so that's not bad you said at the beginning of the season that there were some maybe some opportunities
42:44for Mike as soon as he started getting gold out of the hill, so what's happening with that?
42:50No. No, no, no, no. You gotta get the throm all going. That's where the real gold is gonna come
42:54from. That's all there's to it. Just go bring me some more. Okay, see you later guys. Yep. Bye.
43:05I do hope Tony will honor what he said to Mike because he's been working very hard to get this
43:10all sorted out, so he should get them set up. Honestly, Mike really deserves it.
43:18The frustrating part is I think I have a better chance of learning to breathe through my ass than
43:21I have them going out on my own. Whatever.
43:32What's up? Yo, yo. Well, how did we do this week, Chris? Roxanne's just chugging away.
43:38Man, that was an unreal pan down there at Sulphur. That pan was probably one of the best ones we've
43:43ever seen. It's up there. Top 10. I hate saying anything. I don't want to jinx anything, you know?
43:50Yeah, I'm pretty good at that. How's your juggling that going? You know, it's keeping me busy, that's
43:58for sure. We're gonna start out with you with Bob. How's that? Sure. Let's see how Bob did this week.
44:05Big Bob. At Dominion Creek, Tyson's been running wash plant Bob in the bridge cut, where it's averaging 170
44:13ounces a week. Here we go. We got 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 160, 180, 188.4.
44:29Nice. Not bad. That's a good weight. So Bob's chugging along. Brendan, you want to do a
44:37slucifer here? Go for it. All right. Slucifer, in the golden mile, is pacing 200 ounces a week. 20,
44:4540, 60, 80, 100, 120, 150, 180, 200. Holy . 232.1.
45:02Wow. Holy . Yeah. Nice. That's pretty cool, isn't it? Beautiful.
45:07That's a good week for Dominion. 420 ounces or something? That's a good number.
45:12And then there's Roxanne Mitchell. Whoo. She looks heavy. Let's see what we got here. All
45:23right. Ready to rip. Ready? Yep. Now it's time to find out if Parker's move to extend the cut at
45:3150, 100, 150, 200. Oh yeah. Keep going.
45:44250. A little bit more.
45:51300 right on the dot. Plus this. We have another one.
45:56Whoo. It looks like it's got a load in there.
45:58Ready? All right. We're going to keep adding to her.
46:02There's another 40, 80, 100, 106.5.
46:18406.5 ounces. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
46:22Yeah. That a boy. Mitch, go ahead and take everything up there.
46:26Whoo. With just one plant, Mitch has nearly matched Tyson's two-plant run.
46:35Dude, that's a lot for one week. Yeah. So this week, our total is 827 ounces.
46:43Sick. Is that crazy or what? I was not expecting that.
46:48827 ounces at record prices is worth $2.89 million. The most cash Parker's ever banked in one week.
47:02That's Parker's happy face. There we go. 800 ounces, dude. You got to be happy about that in a week.
47:11Hell yeah. I just hope we can keep it up. There's still so much season left.
47:17Good way to start it, though. That's a good way to start it.
47:19Thank you, guys. Cool. I'll bag this stuff up.
47:22We've all got to do.
47:26After several years of just moving from the Indian River and getting set up and a lot deeper ground on
47:31Dominion, it's taken a long time of, like, stripping and prep. And finally, this season,
47:37like, I don't want to jinx it, but it's looking really good. We're coming out of the gates running.
47:43So hopefully we can just keep that up, right? And then sulfur is just killing it.
48:13So if you have ever left in the house and going, so the next song is probably no longer.
48:18Then you do.
48:19There's a little girl when you're talking about the people who have pulled from the guy.
48:22And I don't want to sit down alone, but you don't want to sit.
48:23So yeah, that's a part of the whole story.
48:25Very cool.
48:27It comes up.
48:27I love to go.
48:29I love to go.
48:30Bye.
48:31Bye.
48:31Bye.
48:33Bye.
48:33Bye.
48:34Bye.
48:35Bye.
48:35Bye.
48:36Bye.
48:38Bye.
48:39Bye.
48:41Bye.
48:42Bye.
