00:00I saw a few bones in the paypal.
00:13Is that a mammoth tusk?
00:17Rib bone, I think.
00:20Right? Rib bone?
00:24I don't know.
00:30Yeah, so things are going really well so far.
00:34You know, we're like coming out of the gate moving and we're over 2,000 ounces,
00:40but I'm waiting for something to go massively wrong because things don't go this smoothly for very long.
00:46Six weeks into the season, 30-year-old Parker Schnabel's plan to mine more than 35 million
00:54dollars in gold is right on schedule.
00:56Tyson is being an animal this year. He's done over 1,500 ounces already here on Dominion.
01:03And then Mitch is doing a really good job over at Sulphur.
01:07Sulphur had over a 350-ounce cleanup last week, so that's crazy.
01:13Parker's plan includes squeezing every ounce he can out of his Sulphur Creek claim,
01:19where foreman Mitch Blaschke has been hunting for gold-rich pockets the old-timers missed.
01:26You know, it's been full throttle since the beginning of the season here in Sulphur,
01:30trying to get all the work done before the water license expires.
01:32Just want to make sure that we get what's ours and don't leave anything behind.
01:38Mitch is down to just three weeks to get it all done.
01:42Making the job harder, his top dirt mover, Brennan Ruhl, was recently sent to open ground at their next claim.
01:51Right now we're threading a bunch of needles with Brennan trying to have the Indian River ready,
01:55Mitch trying to have Sulphur done before the water license expires.
01:58We need to get the whole project done, reclaimed, and be out.
02:02How's it going?
02:12Good.
02:14How are you?
02:14Doing well.
02:15Yeah.
02:16Nice to be getting to the close of this one.
02:17We can start the next project.
02:19Yeah.
02:21Holy, that's a hole.
02:22Wow.
02:24Very muddy hole.
02:32Nobody's done any panning in here, I'm guessing, not on this upper section.
02:37We were trying to get it out as fast as we could, get her to the plant, and...
02:41Right.
02:42Well, I'll pan some of this just out of curiosity.
02:48All right, well, let's see what we've got.
03:02Holy smokes.
03:16That's a hell of a pan.
03:17There must be 100 pieces of gold in there.
03:19Wow.
03:20Yeah.
03:21That's pretty wild.
03:23What do you think?
03:25It's worth staying here a little longer and getting that last little bit of pay.
03:29There's gold there and that's what we're here for.
03:32But we got a lot of sluicing to do already this year, so...
03:34There's a lot of sluicing to do.
03:35It always turns into a lot bigger project than we think, doesn't it?
03:40I want to stand up there and look at it.
03:50How far does that go?
03:52Straight to this tree right here.
03:53That's probably where I would go to.
03:55You know, it's going to be tight.
04:00Could just have, like, Brennan come over here.
04:02That's the best chance that you've got at getting the pay down here in time and getting it ran.
04:07That'd be sweet.
04:08All right, I'll keep you updated.
04:09Over the last six weeks, Mitch has dug out all the pay pockets of the two-acre cut
04:16and is sluicing the last of its stockpiled pay.
04:19But Parker believes the old-timer's dredge missed even more gold and thinks the pay streak extends
04:27up to the road. He wants Mitch to expand the cut by another two acres and sluice all of its pay
04:36before the water license runs out.
04:38If Parker's move pays off, he could bank another 500 ounces worth $1.75 million.
04:51Just when we thought sulfur here was coming to a close in typical Parker fashion,
04:55now he's saying, you know, hey, I want even more dirt out of there.
04:59We're pushing this project all the way to its absolute limit.
05:02So I'm just hoping we can get everything done here in sluice, but it's just messing with our timeline.
05:08Brother!
05:14All right, the cavalry's here. We can certainly use the help.
05:18Woo!
05:21We're here. Happy to help, man.
05:25To give Mitch a fighting chance, Parker has sent in the big guns.
05:31So we've got five trucks, two excavators, and the loader feeding the plant.
05:35We're on a hot streak right now. Let's stay with it, finish it off, and get every speck of gold we can
05:42get out of here.
05:43You know, everything up here is risk over reward. And right now, the risk is we got ourselves a lot
05:50of dirt to move here, not much time. But Parker thinks it's worth the reward.
06:07First gold way of the year, you're always hoping for a good one, right? It can set,
06:12you know, kind of set the pace for the rest of the year. We had the opposite of that.
06:15A hundred miles away, Rick Ness is still trying to recover from a major setback
06:22after failing to obtain the water license needed to mine his gold-rich Duncan Creek claim.
06:30The diamond cut on his new claim at Lightning Creek delivered just seven ounces.
06:36We're always in a race against time, but, you know, we start having gold ways like that,
06:40it just becomes even more and more serious, you know. There's no way we can make money off of that,
06:44but that doesn't mean that we can just, you know, call it quits here.
06:46Rick now finds himself in deep water. He's had to shut down wash plant Rocky,
06:52but has just one week to pay landowner Troy Taylor 100 ounces to complete his purchase of Lightning Creek.
07:02We've got to move on. We've got to strip some new ground. We've already started that.
07:04We've moved up the valley. We've just got to pivot and pivot quick.
07:07We're late to the game this season, so we had to come into this location. It's definitely not as good
07:15ground as Vegas Valley. Hopefully we can get gold out of here to at least pay the bills.
07:22Everyone's getting pretty beat down. When you see low numbers and no gold coming in, it doesn't feel too good.
07:29It's definitely getting a little stressful being a little behind the gun here, so we're going to shift
07:36over here and change the odds. Hopefully start running some pay dirt soon.
07:41This is definitely the beginning of working our way up the valley for sure.
07:46You know, we need as much uncovered as we can, but pretty much it's just going to be trial and error.
07:51We want to make sure that, you know, this is going to be good pay and not garbage.
07:55Rick's going to come down to figure out what he wants me to do moving forward.
08:04Look at this.
08:08What you thinking, Bailey?
08:09It's like the bedrock's right there, and then it goes to sand. Obviously you don't want sand, but...
08:17Interesting. There's no telling what this bedrock might do. You're probably just going to have to follow it.
08:23Yes. Some of that along the banks looks like pay, but there's a spot right there where the bigger rocks.
08:31Look at that big rock right there.
08:33That's what we want to see. Nice.
08:37Do you want that top, gravelly stuff?
08:40I think so.
08:42Yeah, I would say that's the stuff we run.
08:44Bigger rocks should mean bigger deposits of gold.
08:49Over 150,000 years ago, a giant glacier eroded and picked up gold from the Mount Hinton motherlode.
08:58A massive ice sheet bulldozed down the valley, tearing up the landscape.
09:04When the ice melted, the gold settled in scattered pockets with the heavy rocks and boulders.
09:10I like it. Get the plant running. Just start hauling it up to the plant. That'd be great.
09:15Yeah.
09:16You call this the boulder cut?
09:17Cool.
09:18Hopefully it's got gold in it.
09:19Okay. Thanks, man.
09:20Yep.
09:23Bailey's getting on it right here. You know, they're doing a good job of getting this stripped off and
09:27there's a lot more bigger boulders and stuff in that ground. It just looks more promising,
09:30so I've got a good feeling about that.
09:32We're all pretty excited to run this stuff. We'll get this fired up and we'll start pounding dirt through it.
09:50Well, right now we're hauling pay to the plant. This pay layer definitely looks, you know, a lot better than
09:56uh, the diamond cut. You know, there is big rocks in here and I'm hoping it's going to be really good.
10:16Something's going on with the bucket. I'm just not feeling proper. It doesn't have any strength trying to curl right now.
10:21Hey, Ryan. You got a copy, man?
10:25Go ahead, Bailey.
10:26Yeah, something's wrong with the 750 for sure.
10:28Okay. All right, man. Give me the smear and I'll be over.
10:30Hopefully, Ryan can get down here and figure out what's going on because this is our main machine.
10:36That's the only thing that we got down here that can load rock trucks quick enough, so right now we're on a standstill.
10:51We got, uh, issued with the 750 right now. I've probably got a couple more hours worth of pay here. If there's no pay at this plant, there's no gold in the box. So, um, it's pretty crucial to have that thing back up and running.
11:07At Lightning Creek, the Nescrew 750 excavator has gone down, preventing them from digging pay dirt from the new boulder cut.
11:17I'd zip that plate off. Let's make as much room as we can. I'll get in there and I'll crack it open.
11:28All right. Where is she at?
11:34All righty. Okay. We've got a pilot hose over here that comes from the back main pump and goes all the way up just underneath the cab that's chafing pretty bad.
11:44The 750 excavator's bucket moves forward when hydraulic fluid is pumped through a hose into a cylinder with a piston at 5,000 pounds per square inch.
11:57The bucket is then forced to retract when the cylinder is injected with hydraulic fluid by a second hose.
12:06Ryan has discovered this hose has a leak in the body of the excavator near the pump.
12:11He plans to disconnect the hose and remove it, then replace it with a new one, restoring the hydraulic
12:25system's full pressure, allowing the bucket to once again haul six yards of boulder pay dirt with each scoop.
12:33Right here? Yeah, go ahead. Oh yeah, you're good.
12:48Look at this. Yeah, right there.
12:49All right. So this will get us going, get us back in the pay and keep things rolling.
12:58All right, I got it all zip tied up. We're going to get our bottom plates on, get our top plate mounted
13:02back and Bailey will be back at it. Oh, baby.
13:06All right. All right, bottom side's good. There you go. Perfect.
13:17Hey, Bailey, 750's fixed. Thanks, Ryan.
13:25We got the 750 up and running again, which is awesome. We got three trucks. We got to hurry up here
13:30and get that pay to the plant. I really need this to work out. We all need this to work out.
13:39This is our spot for the summer and we need to get started getting some gold out of it. I'm not
13:44going to sleep well until we get a whole run out of this ground. And if it doesn't start showing us
13:49gold, well, you know, what good is it? You know, I'm not full panic mode, but I am definitely got my
13:57hand over the panic button.
14:15So far, the season went pretty good. So happy happy, as they say.
14:20A month and a half into his season, King of the Klondike, Tony Beetz, is cashing in on his early
14:28bird cut. Right now, we just lose a lot going. If it runs, don't with it. Get it going.
14:36He's already banked over 1,800 ounces of his 6,500-ounce target and is now opening the corner cut.
14:44The corner cut is so big that it's going to take us a while to get down the pay. But we should have
14:55plenty of time to get it all set up and do some serious losing. The minute we'll figure it out,
15:02voila. With Mike, when he has his crommel going, well, then we'll just see what we can pull off.
15:0940 miles away on Paradise Hill. Pretty busy right now, here at Mike's shipping department.
15:21Turn my way a bit. We've got the next one. I'm told to get this organized. I'm told to get this
15:27ready. I'm told to get this going. This is all Indian River . I'm just a delivery boy.
15:34Trouble is not going to happen anytime soon at this rate.
15:36If he wants to see gold, my dad's going to have to leave me alone and let me do it.
15:42At the start of the season...
15:44You gave Kevin a bunch of help getting him going. So is there anything you're going to help us with?
15:48Tony's youngest son, Mike, made a case for his own claim.
15:54There's some opportunities out there. Let's get these two places here going first and then we'll talk.
15:58Tony tasked Mike with getting their Paradise Hill operation running.
16:04But two weeks ago... I don't know what the is going on.
16:08Tony stole half of his equipment and crew. If he don't like it, I guess that sucks to be him.
16:15You try to take all my people and then all my and then expect me to still run at the hill.
16:20Now, Mike's Paradise Hill trommel still sits idle and he has no gold coming in.
16:28Hey, what's going on?
16:36What's the problem?
16:38Right now, I'm at equipment. I can do one project at a time. I can sluice, I can strip.
16:42I do not have enough to do both. Which means I ain't going to be able to run the trauma here.
16:46No, you will not.
16:53You know Tony's train of thought, right? The Indian is the only thing that's producing right now.
16:59So that's what he wants to focus on.
17:03It's a little bit worrisome that he takes your equipment.
17:06Why can't I start taking it back?
17:09That would go over really well. You and I both know that. So that's not going to happen.
17:14So what are you going to do now? Do you have a plan B?
17:18We have Harold. A nice plant sitting down in Hester. It's basically stupid proof.
17:23Just got to fuse some pipe, hook it up to the pump, test the pump.
17:27And then I just got to get an excavator and a loader down there and I could be sluicing.
17:30That's great.
17:31How would you feel to just have your own claim? Just your stuff? No interference with your father?
17:39Like Kevin?
17:40I would like it. It'd be fun.
17:42You think that's going to happen?
17:44No. He's too busy out there.
17:46Want to have a little wager?
17:5110 bucks I say it will. We can also say 20 bucks. You're scared? 20 bucks.
18:01With that being said, I do think you have to go back to work.
18:06I'll see you later.
18:11Mike got a little bit of a rough end of the deal here because he doesn't have all the people and
18:15all the equipment. But it's just the way Tony is. He focuses on what's right in front of him,
18:23not what's 60 miles down the road. Mike plans to use what little
18:29equipment Tony left behind to make a quick score by sluicing a pile of old-timer tailings that he
18:36believes are rich in gold. But first, he has to connect the water supply to wash plant Harold.
18:44So I'm going to be testing out our new fusing machine here without no water. You ain't sluicing at all.
18:53If Mike can fit through, the pipe will fit.
18:57Spread your wings and fly, Mike.
18:59It works.
19:09Right now, we lift up the pipe so I can line it up.
19:14My way. Stop. I just lined them up. I'm tightening them up now. I'm waiting for the heating pad to warm up.
19:21Put it in there? Yep. Okay.
19:24That melts the pipe so that when I push it again, it fuses. Get ready.
19:37It's working.
19:37I heard thunder. Pull the tongue, bring it over here.
19:50Now it's raining pretty good. Hold it up. Try to cover it so it doesn't get pissed on rain.
19:55If rain gets into the melted junction, air bubbles will form and the fuse will burst under high water pressure.
20:03If we don't get this fuse together, I ain't getting no water to Harold.
20:20Yeah, it's going to be good. The rain seems to be stopping.
20:24You guys can take it off.
20:26Before Mike can test if the fuses will hold,
20:29he needs to connect the pipe to the pump across the creek.
20:36Lift it up in the air.
20:41Yeah, it's looking good.
20:45Excellent. That's good, Zach.
20:48Pull it in.
20:52Good.
20:54Next step is to put the suction in.
20:57Chain this up. Try not to get hit in the face with a bucket because it's not on my bucket list to do.
21:14Pipes are all hooked up, fused together. All I have to do is test fire the pump. Make sure everything's working good.
21:20I have enough water. That's good. That's lovely. I love it. I'm firing up.
21:48Everything's working.
21:54First scoop into Harold. Here we go.
22:02For the first time this season, Mike is on the gold.
22:07Nice to finally get this thing going. Got it there.
22:11Man, it was brutal. There's no way we would have made this happen without the trucks and the extra help up here.
22:25But we are finally down to pay. And we're going to load that in the trucks and haul it down to Roxanne.
22:32At Sulphur Creek, Mitch Blaschke has hit pay in the first section of the new two-acre extension.
22:38Now, his crew is in a race to sluice it all before the water license runs out in less than three weeks.
22:44Loader operator Sean Holcroft is feeding the new pay through wash plant Roxanne.
22:54Parker, he's got some deadlines going, so we really got to bust our balls here and get moving.
23:00I got this little 220 loader. This thing's a little ancient. Still able to wash Roxanne with the plant, but she's a bit of a rough ride.
23:12I have my second year down here now. A big step up for me. A little bit more responsibility.
23:19I've got this little 220 loader. This thing's a little ancient. Still able to wash Roxanne with the plant, but she's a bit of a rough ride.
23:24I have my second year down here now. A big step up for me. A little bit more responsibilities. They're letting me do a lot more.
23:31It's pretty awesome to have this opportunity. I really love it.
23:41I don't know what the going on with this thing.
23:45Looks like you've got the brakes locking up.
23:50Let's take half load.
23:51Oh, my .
23:55painful, man.
23:59Getting a low hydraulic oil board in here.
24:06Okay, Mitch. It's 220 here. It's up real bad. I guess they got no power. Barely making it up this ramp.
24:13There's no way I'm going to be able to keep up with this, even at 100 yards an hour.
24:18This is not what we need right now.
24:25Unfortunately, you know, with 220 being down right now, we're going to shut Roxanne down.
24:31Shutting down Roxanne could mean losing over $8,000 an hour.
24:36Parker has all these ambitions and things he wants us to do this season.
24:40But we got one old loader out here. And right now, we're not sleucing.
24:45To fix the loader, Mitch calls in mechanic Taylor Matika.
24:53I've got an alarm for low hydraulic oil. You can see there's nothing on the sight glass.
24:59With the machine running, the transmission oil was way high.
25:03It should be at the bottom of the sight glass here. We're way over full.
25:08So, what caused this is the parking brake.
25:11And it's got a piston inside with seals that release the parking brake.
25:15These seals have failed and the parking brake is dragging and it's filling the transmission with hydraulic oil.
25:24I'm just going to pull the drain plug on the transmission here and we'll let her buck.
25:28Hopefully, it's just the seals, but if a piece of got between the piston and the housing, we might have a piston and that's going to be a huge problem.
25:43The 220 loader's parking brake is spring-loaded and controlled by hydraulic pressure.
25:49To access the brake, Taylor will first cage it by using three bolts that compress the springs, releasing the brake and securing the piston to the brake cover.
26:02He will then remove the 16 bolts that hold the cover in place and lift off the caged parking brake piston.
26:09Taylor can then remove and replace the damaged seals before reinstalling the brake, uncaging the springs and refilling the hydraulic oil, allowing the parking brake to function properly.
26:24We're just buzzing the parking brake out here. We've got it caged with these three bolts.
26:29There we go. We'll take it out, put it on the back of my truck. Hopefully, this thing is not because we can't afford a downloader.
26:41You can see here there's no real damage to the piston, but the parking brake seal is completely . We need to replace it.
26:48Sean was right to give me a shout right away. We'll swap the seals out and put this thing back together. Let's get started.
26:55We'll peel these seals off.
27:01We're at the assembly stage now, just putting these seals in.
27:05Hey, Taylor. You got a copy, Taylor?
27:07Yeah, go ahead.
27:08How's it going over there, man?
27:10We're putting new seals in the parking brake right now.
27:12Thank God it was just the seals and we had them in stock.
27:15Give us about an hour and a half, two hours, and this thing will be up and running.
27:18All right, man. We'll be ready for it.
27:21Mitch is chomping at the bit to get this thing up and running.
27:23Then it's just, you know, race against time to get this thing back together.
27:28It's all good.
27:40Fill it with transmission oil. We can be back to making money.
27:43Transmission's full. Parking brakes reassembled, resealed. Everything's hooked up.
27:52Lay down.
27:55Good boy.
27:56I'm going to take it down to Sean so they can go fire up Roxanne.
28:09Oh, yeah, buddy. Thanks, man.
28:10Five hours after shutting down and $40,000 of gold production lost, Roxanne is back in the game.
28:27Washing rocks. Roxanne's shaking. Getting that gold.
28:32We got Roxanne on a good clip here. It's sluicing along very nicely.
28:37We're pushing this project here at Sulphur all the way to its absolute limit.
28:42We're getting through it, but we're not out of the woods yet.
28:45We're not out of the woods yet.
28:46We're going to be doing that, but we're just like aviation.
29:11We can see our images in the past.
29:12We understand we're not mining Vegas Valley.
29:15It's different.
29:16It's up for us to prove that there is something here.
29:19It's going to be nonstop.
29:20It's not going to be an easy season.
29:24I think this will be our toughest season with Rick.
29:26Rick's crew is sluicing pay dirt from the new boulder cut,
29:31which they hope will finally deliver some gold.
29:35We're going to probably work our way up this valley probably all season.
29:38Hopefully, the farther we go or the more that we run, the better it looks.
29:42Guys, I need you all to come meet me at the way down here.
29:49I want all of you there.
30:12What's going on?
30:16I got some news.
30:36What's going on?
30:37I got some news.
30:42We got a water license on Lower Duncan.
30:45Really?
30:45Yes.
30:47Yeah.
30:48Yeah.
30:48That's actually really good news.
30:50Got something for you guys.
30:51We got the news today from the attorney.
31:09They granted an extension until November 2025.
31:11We can go break ground in Vegas Valley, start draining it.
31:13We can get gold from Vegas Valley this year.
31:16Was that a verified email?
31:17The verified email, yes.
31:18Okay, good.
31:18Yeah.
31:19Yes.
31:19Yes.
31:19Yeah.
31:20We 100% have a water license, a land use permit, and everything at Lower Duncan.
31:25In just four years, Rick's claim on Lower Duncan paid out nearly 6,000 ounces.
31:32But after losing the water license, he had to abandon it, including a pay pile that could
31:39contain more than $1.4 million in gold.
31:43We already got a pile up there ready to run, and we can actually run that now.
31:49So what does that mean for this deal?
31:52Well, that's a good point because we can't just walk away from this.
31:54I promised Troy another 100 ounces to buy Lightning Creek.
31:58I'm not just going to pull 100 ounces out of here and give it to Troy and walk the way.
32:02You know, we've got to pull some serious gold out of here.
32:04But this is really good news.
32:06I don't even think you've seen the best out of Vegas Valley yet.
32:09No, and I'm hoping we haven't seen the best out of this.
32:11Yeah.
32:11You know, I think our future is really bright.
32:13I've got a lot to figure out, but we've got a water license, and we are going back to Vegas Valley.
32:18This is cause for celebration.
32:19Yeah.
32:20Yeah, guys.
32:21All right.
32:22Yeah.
32:24You know, in my head right now, I'm very happy.
32:29There's a lot going on right now.
32:30It's like one extreme to the other, right?
32:32We had no water license.
32:33Now we've got a water license in two spots, you know.
32:36I want to just run to Vegas Valley.
32:37I know the gold's there, but I've got obligations on Lightning Creek.
32:39You know, I owe Troy 100 ounces.
32:41You know, that's a quarter million dollars.
32:42So there's a lot to figure out, but at the end of the day, this is good news.
32:45That's nice to be finally solution.
33:05It's been a long time coming.
33:06At Paradise Hill, despite a lack of equipment, Mike is determined to prove to his dad that
33:14he can bring in the gold.
33:17Just careful not to overload it.
33:20It's nice to get this going.
33:21It's exactly what I wanted.
33:23Closer and closer every time.
33:27Oh, .
33:27Uh, we got a gasket blown out on this pump.
33:31Shut it down.
33:33.
33:34Close the bypass.
33:45Ah, .
33:46This is going to be a pain in the ass.
33:49You know, but that's got to get fixed before we can keep going.
33:54I'm going to lift this up.
33:55Take these off so I can get this little orange piece here.
33:57And I can check the rubber.
34:03If you hop in the excavator, I'll wrap it around and we'll just lift it.
34:16Yeah, because these are coming off like butter.
34:22My gasket's ripped completely.
34:25Yeah, she ripped right apart.
34:27My only two rubbers I got.
34:29Too small or weave it too big.
34:35We can make that work, though.
34:36You know what I mean?
34:38Cut holes.
34:40We're going to have to around with this .
34:41What we're going to do is mark out all the holes, and then we'll just push the bolt holes through.
34:57Then I'm going to cut, and yeah, the bolt will fit through it.
35:00Yeah, there should be 12.
35:01It's a little scabby, but it'll work.
35:09For the bushfix gasket to work, it must form a tight seal between the two metal flanges.
35:17A little bit more of my weight.
35:18A little bit more of my weight.
35:19There we go.
35:20If we do this and it works, it should last until forever.
35:23Hey, that's my butt.
35:30Let her down.
35:34That's tight.
35:35It should all work.
35:36That's tight.
35:37It should all work.
35:41It should all work.
36:04Hey, I'm Kobe.
36:05Hop on the line.
36:07Let's get going!
36:08Finally getting this done.
36:09But now I'll be happy to get any gold.
36:11So I'm going to grab every ounce of gold I can out of that dirt.
36:15Between me and Colby, we should be able to get this thing going.
36:18This will be running for the rest of the season.
36:28Woo-hoo!
36:29Mike Beetz may be dreaming of his own Klondike kingdom,
36:33but there is already a crown he wears proud.
36:37According to everyone, I'm the king of around,
36:40so this should be nothing new.
36:45Go chase the beaver.
36:46Go, go, go!
36:48You make me good.
36:52So I leave you guys alone for what, two minutes,
36:55and then you're around again?
36:57Let's go!
36:58Nah, it's just around.
37:07Whoa!
37:08Oh, yeah!
37:09Nice glasses.
37:10Thanks, man.
37:11How are you?
37:12No fire?
37:13No.
37:14Too hot for that.
37:15It's hot.
37:16Summer finally got here.
37:17Yeah, it came fast.
37:18It was a smart move to pivot from a diamond cut.
37:19There's no way we can make a living off it,
37:20and, you know, I like the spot that we moved to.
37:23It's definitely looking better in every way.
37:24There's boulders there.
37:25Yeah.
37:26It is nicer material compared to that stuff that we just dug out
37:29at the start of the diamond cut.
37:30So we're on the right track.
37:31Yeah.
37:32Well, I guess maybe we should weigh up the gold.
37:48Rick's previous spot, the diamond cut, produced just 7.35 ounces.
37:56Now, he's hoping the new boulder cut will deliver at least 30 ounces.
38:01at least 30 ounces for its run time.
38:04There, count it out.
38:091, 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 18, 20, 22, 22.35.
38:24Worth $78,000.
38:28Definitely an improvement.
38:30We've got to look at it that way.
38:32Three times better.
38:34I mean, obviously, that water license coming in is huge.
38:38But a lot of decisions come with that, you know.
38:40There's a lot of pieces that have to fall into place.
38:43What's going through your head? Tough it out here?
38:46I mean, we're going to have to go back to Vegas Valley.
38:49I mean, I want to.
38:51And maybe at the end of the day,
38:53this is just not the happening spot right here.
38:57We can't abandon this place.
38:59We did buy it.
39:00But the one thing that I can say is that we can't afford to just shut this down while we're, you know.
39:05We've got to take advantage of all the sluicing hours we can get.
39:07How many gold ways do we say there can be improvement
39:09before we finally say we need to get our asses back to Vegas Valley?
39:12At the end of the day, I owe Troy, you know, 100 ounces on this ground.
39:16So we can't just walk away from it right now.
39:18It's the only spot we're getting gold from.
39:19Does he care where the 100 ounces comes from?
39:21Because I'm telling you now, you're going to get 100 ounces a lot quicker.
39:24You do the math.
39:25It doesn't make sense to hit 1,800 ounces by the end of the season.
39:28You know, it's going to take a while to get Vegas Valley ready.
39:30So the minute we're able to sluice down there, we will go there.
39:32That's a promise.
39:33I think we should go there now.
39:35Well, that's too bad.
39:38I think there's gold here.
39:41I hope you're right.
39:42Definitely the pressure's going to be on, man.
39:48Thanks, guys.
39:49I appreciate it.
39:50Yeah, this gold way was better than last week,
39:52but it's not as good as what lower Duncan could be.
39:55There could be 400 ounces in that pay pile.
39:57So, you know, for us to try to reach 1,800 ounces,
40:00we need to be down there right away.
40:02Well, the gold total for the week, 22.3 ounces.
40:05Yeah, three times as good.
40:06But the exciting thing is we got the water license extension
40:08back on Duncan Creek, so we go back to Vegas Valley,
40:10which is huge news.
40:12Now, everybody's just arguing on when.
40:14They want to go there immediately, but the timing's just not right.
40:16You know, it's going to take a few days to get that ready,
40:18and I'm not willing to stop getting gold from Lightning Creek
40:20until it is ready.
40:21So we're going to stick it out here,
40:23and we'll be back in Vegas Valley soon.
40:35Hello.
40:36Hey, guys.
40:37Hey, guys.
40:38How are you?
40:39Good?
40:40Yes.
40:41Good, good, good.
40:42Have a seat.
40:46I've been here pretty much all week.
40:48Sluicing around the early bird cut there.
40:50Doing very well, actually, I think.
40:52Busy stripping, corner cut.
40:54So I've been going actually quite well.
40:56How about you guys?
40:58Yeah, I set up Harold.
41:00Yeah.
41:01We, uh...
41:02Did some old-time entailings, didn't we?
41:03Might as well sluice it, sitting there.
41:05Oh, really?
41:06Perfect.
41:07Anything you get is bonus.
41:08I mean, if the prize is off today,
41:10rather than throwing it away, that don't make no sense.
41:12Did it show anything?
41:14Well, there's a little bit.
41:16You'd better count it quick, I guess, huh?
41:18I'll pour slow.
41:19There were one, two, three, four, and a five, and a six, and a seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fourteen, fourteen point two eight.
41:36Worth nearly $50,000.
41:39It all adds up, it all adds up.
41:42I'm proud of you.
41:44That is a good little venture.
41:46So you want to see what comes from the Indian?
41:49Okay, what do we got?
41:50So far, the early bird cut is averaging 270 ounces a week.
41:56Michael, ready to count?
41:5810, 30, 40, 50, 100, 110, 120, 170, 190, 200, 210, 250, 260, 270, 280, 290, 310, 320, 330, 340, 350, 390.
42:21Making the four?
42:22No.
42:23No?
42:24It's 398.18.
42:26Worth almost $1.4 million.
42:30But I mean, you didn't make four.
42:32Oh, my .
42:34Bringing the beat's season total to over 2,300 ounces.
42:39So that's not bad?
42:40You said at the beginning of the season that there were maybe some opportunities for Mike as soon as he started getting gold out of the hill.
42:46So what's happening with that?
42:49No.
42:50No, no, no, no.
42:51You got to get the thrommel going.
42:52That's where the real gold is going to come from.
42:55But that's all there's to it.
42:56Just go bring me some more.
43:01Okay.
43:02See you later, guys.
43:03Yep.
43:04Bye.
43:05I do hope Tony will honor what he said to Mike because he's been working very hard to get this all sorted out.
43:11So he should get him set up.
43:14Honestly, Mike really deserves it.
43:17The frustrating part is I think I have a better chance of learning to breathe through my ass than I have him going out on my own.
43:22Whatever.
43:23What's up?
43:24Yo, yo.
43:25Well, how'd we do this week, Chris?
43:26Roxanne's just chugging away.
43:27Man, that was an unreal pan down there at Sulphur.
43:28That pan was probably one of the best ones we've ever seen.
43:29It's up there.
43:30Top ten.
43:31I hate saying anything.
43:32I don't want to jinx anything, you know?
43:33Yeah.
43:34I'm pretty good at that.
43:35How's your juggling that going?
43:36You know?
43:37It's keeping me busy, that's for sure.
43:38It's keeping me busy, that's for sure.
43:39Yeah.
43:40Yeah.
43:41Yeah.
43:42Yeah.
43:43Yeah.
43:44Yeah.
43:45Yeah.
43:46Yeah.
43:47Yeah.
43:48Yeah.
43:49Yeah.
43:50Yeah.
43:51Yeah.
43:52Yeah.
43:53Yeah.
43:54Yeah.
43:55Yeah.
43:56You know, it's keeping me busy, that's for sure.
43:58We're going to start out with you with Bob.
44:01How's that?
44:02Sure.
44:03Let's see how Bob did this week.
44:04Big Bob.
44:05At Dominion Creek, Tyson's been running wash plant Bob in the bridge cut, where it's averaging
44:12170 ounces a week.
44:15Here we go.
44:16We got 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 160, 180, 188.4.
44:30Nice.
44:31Not bad.
44:32That's a good weight.
44:33So Bob's chugging along.
44:35Brendan, you want to do a slucifer here?
44:37Go for it.
44:38All right.
44:39Slucifer, in the Golden Mile, is pacing 200 ounces a week.
44:4420, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 150, 180, 200.
44:56Holy .
44:58232.1.
45:01Wow.
45:02Holy .
45:03Yeah.
45:04Nice.
45:05That's pretty cool, isn't it?
45:06Beautiful.
45:07That's a good week for Dominion.
45:08420 ounces or something?
45:10That's a good number.
45:15And then there's Roxanne Mitchell.
45:18Woo, she looks heavy.
45:20Let's see what we got here.
45:22All right.
45:23Ready to rip.
45:24Ready?
45:25Yep.
45:26Now it's time to find out if Parker's move to extend the cut at sulfur will pay out.
45:3250.
45:33100.
45:34150.
45:35200.
45:36Oh, yeah.
45:37Keep going.
45:38250.
45:39A little bit more.
45:40300 right on the dot.
45:41Plus this.
45:42We have another one.
45:43Woo.
45:44It looks like it's got a load in there.
45:45Ready?
45:46All right.
45:47We're going to keep adding to her.
45:48There's another 40.
45:4980.
45:50100.
45:51106.5.
45:5340.
45:5480.
45:55100.
45:56106.5.
46:00406.5 ounces.
46:01Okay.
46:02Yeah.
46:03Yeah.
46:04Yeah.
46:05Yeah.
46:06Yeah.
46:07Yeah, yeah.
46:08Yeah, yeah.
46:09Yeah.
46:10Yeah, man.
46:11Mitch, go ahead and take everything up there.
46:13Woo!
46:14With just one plant, Mitch has nearly matched Tyson's two-plant run.
46:22Mitch, go ahead and take everything up there.
46:27With just one plant, Mitch has nearly matched Tyson's two-plant run.
46:35Dude, that's a lot for one week.
46:38Yeah, so this week, our total is 827 ounces.
46:43Sick.
46:45Is that crazy or what?
46:47I was not expecting that.
46:48827 ounces at record prices is worth $2.89 million,
46:58the most cash Parker's ever banked in one week.
47:03That's Parker's happy face.
47:06There we go.
47:08800 ounces, dude, you've got to be happy about that in a week.
47:12Oh, yeah.
47:13I just hope we can keep it up.
47:15There's still so much season left.
47:17Good way to start it, though.
47:18That's a good way to start it.
47:20Thank you, guys.
47:21Cool, I'll bag this stuff up.
47:22We've all got to do.
47:26After several years of just moving from the Indian River
47:29and getting set up and a lot deeper ground on Dominion,
47:31it's taken a long time of, like, stripping and prep.
47:35And finally this season, like, I don't want to jinx it,
47:39but it's looking really good.
47:42We're coming out of the gates running.
47:43So hopefully we can just keep that up, right?
47:46And then sulfur is just killing it.
