02:12hello good morning good evening welcome to australia where after last night's photos from home
02:18ten celebrities are all missing their families well nine celebrities
02:22are missing their families judging by her photo ruby wax is missing our cats yes
02:27apparently ruby's letter from home is just a couple of paw prints and a dead mouth she's gonna love it
02:33She's going to love it.
02:34Coming up on a show full of emotional revelations,
02:37Martin talks about his health scare,
02:39Jack chats about his dad,
02:41and Eddie gets chucked into a tank full of eels.
02:44OK, it's not all about emotional revelations.
02:46No, no.
02:47Although some of those eels found that trial very moving.
02:49They did, they did, they did.
02:51But we start tonight with the morning after those photos from home arrived.
02:55And, of course, a lot of the loved ones in the photos
02:57will be watching the show tonight.
02:59Hi!
03:00Maybe sitting on the sofa, sipping a glass of wine,
03:03enjoying a few snacks.
03:04Yeah, or lying on a rug,
03:07lapping up a saucer of milk,
03:08licking their own genitals.
03:11You still talking about Ruby's cats?
03:13If you like.
03:14LAUGHTER
03:29I felt terrible that the fire went out because I am the closest.
03:44I thought maybe people would get angry at me because that's my job.
03:48Ruby?
03:49Well, that's good wafting.
03:50I know how to waft.
03:52You waft.
03:53Waft with a hat.
03:54Yeah.
03:54Always said.
03:55I've done this.
03:56Yes.
03:56Yes.
03:57Oh, well done.
03:58Wow.
03:59Look at what we've done together.
04:02Or I shouldn't be cocky at this point.
04:04I never dreamt that I would be a fire starter.
04:07But I am.
04:08A natural.
04:09Look what we did.
04:11Without your aid.
04:12I know.
04:13I saw, I was watching from up there.
04:14Did we do it right?
04:15I was like a proud father.
04:16Yeah, you guys are great.
04:17Should I make the rice now?
04:22Oh!
04:25You know, some people still dreaming away,
04:28trying to get that extra bit of sleep in the comfortable beds,
04:31but Ruby is, like, aware how important that fire is
04:35because if we're not lighting that fire at a certain time,
04:39no-one's getting breakfast.
04:42I am jungle woman!
04:44Who is this new woman?
04:49Jungle in!
04:54No.
04:55There we go.
04:57Oh, wow.
04:57Now we can swim.
04:58It's a really, really hot day today in camp.
05:01So I made the suggestion that maybe we go down to the pool
05:04and have a little swim.
05:05And it was absolutely delightful.
05:11It was so refreshing.
05:12I can't even tell you.
05:13It's gorgeous, honestly.
05:15You won't regret it.
05:15It's so nice.
05:16You feel amazing.
05:19Are we doing it?
05:20Yes!
05:20Can I have a minute?
05:21Come on.
05:23Why?
05:23It's honestly gorgeous.
05:25Oh, wow.
05:25Oh, no, they're coming.
05:36They're swimming.
05:36There's loads.
05:37They're around there.
05:38They swim!
05:39I've never changed it.
05:41Oh, my God.
05:42They swim in the little...
05:44Oh, my God.
05:45We were seconds away from being covered in leeches
05:49and eaten alive.
05:50Oh, my God.
05:51We just could not get out of that pool quick enough.
05:55WHISTLE BLOWS
05:56I got you!
06:01That toilet is disgusting.
06:03It is, isn't it?
06:04I'd rather come down here in the middle of the night
06:07squatting in a bush than you're not doing it.
06:10Agreed.
06:10I don't know why it smells so bad.
06:12It was from day one, though.
06:13Yeah, yeah, it was.
06:14It was how it is.
06:15Well, it's probably a 25-year-old toilet at this point.
06:17Mate, do you know what it is?
06:19Weird to say, but...
06:21The amount...
06:22The names and celebrities that have sat on that toilet.
06:25Do you know what I mean?
06:27Ah, that's hilarious to think about.
06:29We're sitting and pooing where Caitlyn Jenner's had a poo.
06:34Nigel Farage.
06:36Nigel Farage having a poo there.
06:38It's definitely the Dunny Hall of Fame.
06:40Do you know what I mean?
06:41And I would love to be a part of that.
06:43But I haven't had my cheeks on there yet.
06:46I've been here for five days.
06:47I've still not pooed.
06:48Who wants some rice?
06:50Oh, I'll have a little bit.
06:52Thank you, Ruby.
06:53Thank you, thank you.
06:53Thank you so much.
06:55Oh, I like it.
06:56Yeah, I like it golden.
06:58Oh, this one is looking different.
07:02What is going on?
07:03It was just...
07:04I felt like I was eating a rock.
07:06I did.
07:07Oh, that's rough.
07:09That's rough.
07:13He's so dry.
07:15Who put the rice on there?
07:17Who made the rice?
07:18Not me.
07:19Not guilty.
07:20That rice made itself.
07:24I think it was me.
07:25I put the rice down, but then I forget to get it off.
07:28That's my fault.
07:31And I'm sorry.
07:32But people make mistakes.
07:34Ah, look.
07:36There's a long hair.
07:39Let's find the DNA and we'll find out who screwed up the rice.
07:43Oh, God.
07:48I hate it.
07:49I hate it when it happens.
07:51So, it was Ruby who made the rice,
07:53but she didn't want to admit it to the rest of the group.
07:55That's one mystery solved,
07:56but it leaves us with another unsolved mystery.
07:58Where did that grey hair come from?
08:02Well, as Ruby suggested, we took the hair,
08:05we ran a DNA test,
08:06and we came up with a photo-fit image of the suspect.
08:09Let's take a look at it now.
08:11Yes.
08:13We're advising the public to stay vigilant
08:16and keep their eyes peeled
08:18for an old ice cream van in the middle of the rainforest.
08:21Do not approach the subject,
08:23suspect, subject,
08:26unless you're carrying a big bag of deco dollars.
08:28Yeah, good point.
08:28Then you can.
08:30And please, don't have nightmares.
08:32And as the day went on,
08:33the fallout from Ruby's rice deception continued.
08:37Yes, it did.
08:40Oh, my God!
08:41A hair, a hair!
08:42He's closer than we think!
08:45Are you really hungry?
08:48I am.
08:48Well, I'm hungry because I had no rice because it was burnt to a crescent.
08:51That, no.
08:52I'm trying to be positive, right,
08:54but that...
08:54That was a stinker.
08:55That was rotten.
08:56I think I put it on the fire.
08:59You didn't want to say what everyone asked.
09:01No.
09:01Because now it's smaller groups.
09:02So I won't be tortured.
09:04Yeah.
09:04But I think I did put it...
09:06We made the fire and then there was a space.
09:08And I thought I'll put...
09:09But it's not my responsibility to take the rice off.
09:12I think it could be.
09:14Well, nobody told me that.
09:16Captain Jack wasn't around.
09:17When you put something in the oven,
09:19whose responsibility is it to take it out?
09:20No, but there's a group here working.
09:22So I only do half of it.
09:24Should I make rice now?
09:26No, absolutely not.
09:27Don't touch the rice.
09:28No rice?
09:29If I'm off the fire, you're off the rice.
09:31One more chance.
09:32Come on, baby.
09:33One more chance.
09:34I don't think I can.
09:35I need so much.
09:36Come on.
09:36If I burn it, I burn it.
09:38Ruby, the Michelin star chef, there she is.
09:42Took it upon herself to put rice on the fire.
09:46And then just didn't feel as though to check on it.
09:50So it was burnt to a crisp.
09:52And I'm starving.
09:54Honestly, you could have put that rice on the eating trial
09:57and it had been a mission to try and swallow.
09:59I'm going for it.
10:00Why, are you hungry?
10:02I'm starving.
10:03Well, you shouldn't have burnt the first one.
10:05Well, I didn't know somebody wasn't going to take it off.
10:08All right.
10:08Right.
10:09Well, we don't need to cook it yet.
10:10There's a little left.
10:10Let's leave it for now.
10:11Let's leave it for now.
10:12We'll cook it in a bit.
10:13All right.
10:16No.
10:17Ruby.
10:18Oh, I shouldn't have done that.
10:18Ruby.
10:19Ruby, you're pouring watered food in the camp where there's been rats.
10:24Oh, should I bury it?
10:26I can bury it.
10:28Was that a bad thing to do?
10:29Ruby.
10:30Was it a bad thing to do?
10:32You just sit yourself down, Ruby.
10:34Ruby, you just sit down.
10:35No, no.
10:36I'll bury it.
10:36I'll bury it.
10:37A rat won't even know that it was ever here.
10:40Look.
10:41Look what I'm doing.
10:43This is rat proof.
10:46Ruby's taking my crown today as the chaotic mayhem causer.
10:50I don't even want that crown, by the way.
10:51I don't try to have that crown.
10:53So you've got rice juice and burnt rice on the floor.
10:56Oh, look, there is rice.
11:03I'm going to eat some of this with somebody else's spoon.
11:06You don't want some?
11:08No, thanks.
11:08I'm starving.
11:10Oh, man.
11:11That's sick.
11:14Let me see that rice, though.
11:16Is that edible?
11:17Yeah, it is.
11:18Not at all.
11:18Yeah, I don't care.
11:21Enjoy the rice?
11:22Yum.
11:23You want some?
11:24I'm all right, thanks.
11:25OK.
11:26I'm just cleaning this up.
11:29She's allowed to do whatever she wants.
11:30I think she's got a bit of a pass.
11:32You know what I mean?
11:33If she just wanted to throw all her dinner on the floor tonight,
11:35it is what it is.
11:36It's Ruby Wax, innit?
11:37I'll clean it up.
11:39Whatever.
11:39Welcome back to I'm a Celebrity.
11:47Get me out of here, live from Australia.
11:50Now, down in the camp, one of the traditional ways of passing the time
11:53is to do a bit of exercise.
11:55And yesterday, as part of our regime, we did some pull-ups and a few weights.
11:59Yeah, we pulled up at McDonald's drive-thru and waited for our happy meals.
12:03Got to keep up the regime.
12:04That is a good stretch there.
12:09You're flexible.
12:10It's lovely, isn't it?
12:11Very nice.
12:11Yeah, you really are.
12:12How to keep my husband happy.
12:16This is how we hang.
12:17And the nanas, how do you get them so firm?
12:20Yeah, but I had my uplift.
12:22What were the nanas like before the operation?
12:24Where were they?
12:26They were like a Dalmatian's tongue.
12:28Was it all at once you had the surgery?
12:36No, two sessions.
12:36Yeah.
12:37Was it painful?
12:39Yeah.
12:39How big were you?
12:40I'm now size 16, 18.
12:42My biggest was size 28.
12:44And do you eat all the time?
12:46Because, you know, you don't see it.
12:47Yeah, my absolute guilt for years and years was blindness to portion control.
12:53I was also a nibbler.
12:54One of the things, I've completely cut out nibbling.
12:57But I'm active.
12:58You see, I'm physical.
12:59Yeah, yeah, yeah.
12:59I'm never lazy.
13:01I just, it's, I think it's hereditary.
13:03Yeah.
13:03I do.
13:04Can you look in the mirror and think, wow?
13:06Does anybody?
13:07Do you?
13:08No.
13:08Do you?
13:10But don't you think, it's mentally, if you find so many what they call problem areas,
13:15I hate that term, but it's true.
13:16Where are your problem areas?
13:17Well, I don't know.
13:18I am an area.
13:19I'm just one area.
13:20But then you'd end up, you'd send yourself cuckoo.
13:23Yeah.
13:23Yeah, it's actually nice not having a mirror in here, isn't it?
13:26But to not look at yourself and just be free and liberated.
13:30Yeah.
13:30And not really care.
13:30That's another thing.
13:31Take away the mirror.
13:32And when you have menopause, really don't care.
13:35Yeah.
13:36I've spoken to women on menopause and they said, you forget that you even like sex.
13:42You forget that it was even a thing that you liked.
13:44Yeah.
13:44It just goes out of your brain.
13:45It's kind of liberating.
13:46What do you do when the man feels funky?
13:49Tell him to f*** up.
13:50Yeah.
13:52Yeah.
13:52I mean, or you just pretend you have, you know, some, like herpes percentage.
13:58I've had herpes for 10 years.
14:00As us girls, we've formed this really solid connection and this beautiful, beautiful bond is naturally forming.
14:09I mean, how could it not?
14:11Because, you know, we are all in this together.
14:13Guys, I have to tell you, it's completely different with women.
14:16Is it?
14:16Well, especially for me, it's always been about a deep emotional connection.
14:20Yeah.
14:20Which then makes, for me, the sex more passionate than ever anyway because you have that such a deep bond between you.
14:27Yeah.
14:27I have relationships.
14:29I had relationships with men throughout my life.
14:31Oh, did you?
14:32And it was just there was always something missing for me that I'd never had with a woman.
14:36When did you know woman, woman?
14:38My first experience with a woman was when I was like 17.
14:42And the same thing, I was like fighting it.
14:43I'd go back to men in between because it's, like I said, for me, it's always about the connection.
14:48So I can be attracted, I'm attracted to men still.
14:51But then, like, literally, that connection would just wear off for me.
14:54Right.
14:54And then I'm like, well, like, I'm not enjoying the sex anymore.
14:57Like, there's not that emotional connection between us.
14:58I guess sex between women is they know what they're doing.
15:01Yeah.
15:02You know what each other want.
15:03Yeah.
15:04I'm so envious.
15:05I think this whole experience being in this, like, little confined space and all surviving together,
15:11it is such a unique, special experience.
15:15And you have no doubt that there's going to be a bond, not just in here, but afterwards.
15:21I wish I was a lesbian.
15:23I'm one chromosome away.
15:25I really would like to be one.
15:27My husband's probably listening to this.
15:28Hasn't been a great couple of days for Ruby's husband, has it?
15:37No.
15:38So, he loses out to a pair of cats in the photos from home.
15:42Yeah.
15:42Now, Ruby reveals she hasn't actually had herpes for ten years.
15:45She just doesn't want to do it with him.
15:47Yeah.
15:48And yesterday she wishes she was a lesbian.
15:50Yeah.
15:50I mean, he's going to have a few words to say to her when she finally walks over the bridge.
15:54Oh, he's not over the bridge.
15:55What?
15:55The cats are going to be over the bridge.
15:56They're going to be that for us.
15:58Now, yesterday we got a little surprised when we went to the camp, didn't we?
16:02We did.
16:02The celebrities hilariously serenaded us with an acapella version of Let's Get Ready to Rumble.
16:07They did.
16:08It was lots of fun, but then we had to bring the mood down by telling Eddie he was doing the trial.
16:13So, let's get Eddie ready.
16:15Let's get Eddie ready.
16:16Let's get Eddie ready to rumble.
16:22Eddie, let's get ready to rumble at the trials area later on.
16:26Hey!
16:27Hey!
16:28Eddie!
16:29He felt it.
16:30He felt it.
16:31Oh, I felt it, man.
16:32Really?
16:33The scarium, he said.
16:34It's got to be aquariums, got to be fish.
16:35Aquariums?
16:36How are you with swimming?
16:37I'm up, man.
16:38I'll be all right.
16:39I like a swim, but listen, I'm not great at water parks.
16:42I'm not a person that thinks, oh, I'm going to go swim and go straight to the deep end.
16:46It's just the unknown.
16:47Oh, now I'm shaking myself.
16:49Yeah, now you're with me.
16:50Oh, Eddie.
16:51Let's go.
16:52Hey!
16:54Hey!
16:55Hey!
16:56Hey, hey!
16:57Swim in the water!
16:58Backstroke!
16:59Backstroke!
17:00Backstroke!
17:01Backstroke!
17:02Backstroke!
17:03My way of dealing with stuff like this is just putting on the brave faces.
17:07I'm telling myself there's nothing to be scared of but inside I'm crumbling I'm telling you man
17:13I'm crumbling ready for it yeah Eddie provide for the family yes sir I feel like Eddie will feel
17:21the pressure he will definitely go in there knowing that we're gonna want really nice food
17:26tonight I have all my faith in Eddie and I don't feel like he's gonna want to let us down and we
17:33are gonna eat like kings and queens of the jungle good luck good luck let's go eat well tonight yes sir
17:40thank you there'll be some wheels in there there'll be some yeah I'll be the milk hopefully jellied yep
17:50the name of my child today is a scarier oh now I've been to a few aquariums on the outside because
17:58inside was too scary and there's only goldfish in there all right guys go on Eddie we love you love
18:07you Eddie my boys how Eddie I'm good Eddie welcome to the bush took a trial clearing we get about in a
18:18minute don't look at that yet let's just have a general catch-up yeah yeah we don't see you
18:22enough I prefer to look at these two snakes we always like seeing new people down at the trials
18:29how do you feel about being here right now I'm looking at that side and I'm thinking to myself
18:34man I should have taken those swimming lessons in my little one shall we find out what's in story I
18:41think we should okay this is the Ascarium voice as you can see it is a giant fish tank that is home to
18:54more than just fish right you need to enter the tank and unlock the chests at the bottom using the keys
19:01up at the top you'll see that each key has a symbol on it as does each chest if you match the correct key
19:08to the correct chest it will unlock each chest contains a star there are 10 chests so there are
19:1610 stars and you've got 10 minutes to collect them all when you get a star what does he do get it in
19:23your bag get it in your star bag only stars in that bag at the end of time will count every star

34:23are the most open
34:25we've ever had
34:26absolutely
34:27and yesterday
34:27Lisa
34:28talked about some of the
34:29big changes
34:30that she's made
34:31in her life
34:32Lisa
34:35you programmed sober
34:36or just cold turkey sober
34:38full cold turkey
34:39self-assessment
34:40and needed it
34:41more than anything
34:42good
34:42yeah
34:43it was hard
34:44but
34:45ten years in now
34:47that's great
34:47what's that on the alcohol
34:48yeah
34:49saves everything
34:50oh yeah
34:50what was you a big drinker
34:52yeah crazy
34:53as in alcoholic
34:54on the verge of
34:55no but
34:56I think
34:57yeah three bottles
34:57of Malbec
34:58every night
34:59because
34:59mentally I needed it
35:01three bottles a night
35:02I'd argue that is probably
35:04alcoholic
35:04because you said
35:04you needed it
35:05yeah yeah definitely
35:05definitely qualify
35:06yeah yeah
35:07but I
35:08I've been in New York
35:10I've been to AA
35:10a lot
35:11like I love it
35:12I find
35:12I find the people
35:14just so interesting
35:14yeah
35:14I feel like you would
35:16really get into it
35:17actually
35:17yeah
35:17um
35:18alcoholic anonymous
35:20yeah
35:20never in our country
35:22because I don't want
35:22all the
35:23I can imagine what
35:24it's like in our country
35:25so no
35:27oh shit yeah
35:28you know I
35:29and then it starts
35:30spreading like that
35:31yeah of course
35:31yeah every time
35:33in New York
35:33it fascinates me
35:35it's a decision I made
35:36for many personal reasons
35:38for myself
35:38where I knew
35:39enough was enough
35:41and I had to take
35:43total control of that
35:44there was only me
35:45that could take control
35:46of my sobriety
35:47and the volume
35:48I was consuming
35:48to be honest
35:49it's only other people now
35:50even to this day
35:51they go go on
35:52just have one
35:53have one
35:54go on
35:55peer pressure
35:55I don't want one
35:56I don't need a drink
35:58Brits don't do well
35:59around people not drinking
36:01and everyone's drinking
36:02yeah
36:02like in the States
36:03everyone's like
36:04alright whatever
36:05but for some reason
36:06like it's just like
36:07well why aren't you
36:08yeah
36:08well what's wrong with you
36:10yeah
36:10you're not gonna have a drink
36:11yeah
36:11a lot of times I get called
36:12boring because I don't drink
36:13yeah
36:13but it's not like
36:14we need a drink
36:15do you know what I mean
36:15it's not like we're
36:16you know shy
36:16yeah we have a personality
36:18without alcohol
36:18exactly
36:19does your partner drink Lisa
36:20yeah yeah yeah
36:21so he still drinks
36:22yeah
36:23is that hard for you though
36:24no not at all
36:25yeah it's fine
36:25I broke up with a girl
36:26because she drank too much
36:27white wine
36:28yeah
36:28and I couldn't take it
36:29in the morning
36:29it was just like
36:30yeah the morning smell
36:30after white wine
36:31when you're sober
36:32honest to God
36:32I wouldn't wish it on anyone
36:34but you can only smell it
36:35if you're dry
36:36you know I'm really
36:37actually enjoying
36:38the friendship with Lisa
36:39I think she's an amazing
36:40woman
36:40and she's got a heart
36:43as big as this jungle
36:44like this is a prime
36:46example of like
36:47you put a bunch of strangers
36:49in you know
36:50in a scenario together
36:51and you find that
36:52there's a lot more in common
36:54than not
36:54was it hard Jack
36:56um
36:57you know
36:58it was
37:00it was hard stopping
37:01but once I'd stopped
37:02I really found
37:04I really
37:06like enjoyed being sober
37:07like I found the fun in it
37:08yeah yeah
37:08and then I was like
37:09oh okay
37:10like this is all good
37:11yeah
37:11you know the hard thing
37:13with it is like
37:13addiction isn't just
37:15one thing right
37:16like addiction is a
37:17trauma response
37:18and so you often
37:19go the path of like
37:20least resistance
37:21to numb that
37:22response
37:22yeah when my mum died
37:23it was it was the biggest
37:24plaster I could put on myself
37:25yeah
37:25is that why you started
37:26drinking so much
37:27oh yeah
37:27when mum
37:28when mum
37:29I genuinely could not cope
37:31and having
37:32and having to work
37:34Ginge
37:34and like put that
37:35I'm okay
37:36turn the radio on
37:37everything's great
37:38but inside I was
37:38the biggest broken biscuit
37:40in the memory of man
37:40I mean
37:41and I'm not the sort of person
37:42that can be fake
37:43and turn that on
37:44it's not me
37:44and I got to the point
37:46where
37:47I couldn't close my mind off
37:49that constant suffocation
37:50and
37:50there's the wine
37:51literally suffocated
37:53everything
37:54and two packets of silk
37:56up
37:56purple
37:57always
37:58go on girl
37:59thanks babe
38:00I'd rather have a Pepsi Max
38:02welcome back to
38:11I'm a celebrity get me out
38:12of here live from
38:13Australia
38:13now yesterday
38:14the celebs had
38:15another fascinating
38:17chance
38:18another one
38:18yes
38:19they're on fire
38:20I know
38:20and this one was on the subject of music
38:23oh
38:23it all started when Ruby was chatting the age about 80s pop legend
38:27and former resident of this parish
38:29boy George
38:30Lisa
38:32doesn't he look a little like a really young boy George
38:35who is boy George?
38:37you don't know who boy George is?
38:38culture club
38:39culture club
38:39very big 80s
38:41pop star
38:42pop star
38:42he did this show
38:43the chameleon song
38:44I know that song
38:45yeah yeah that's him
38:45yeah that's him
38:46do you know who um
38:48the Beatles are?
38:49of course
38:49yeah
38:49okay I just wondered
38:50do you know who Hendrix is?
38:52they're from yeah
38:52Jimmy Hendrix
38:53right
38:53yeah yeah yeah
38:54okay
38:54my uh
38:55my grandfather turned down management of the Beatles
38:57no
38:58no
38:58yeah
38:59wow
39:00because he was a big record exec
39:01and his big thing was
39:03he brought um
39:04all the
39:05black musicians from America to England
39:07like Little Richard
39:08and
39:08who was he?
39:10yeah
39:10uh Don Arden
39:11but that would have been a healthy 20%
39:13the Beatles
39:13well yeah
39:14but he wouldn't manage them
39:15because he only managed black artists
39:17and he's like
39:18he's like I'm not wasting my time with white rock and roll
39:20but he like massively regretted it obviously
39:24didn't your mom manage your dad?
39:26yeah
39:26he got fired out of Black Sabbath
39:28and then she took over
39:30managing him
39:31like it's really kind of wild
39:33because in like a three year period
39:34so he got fired
39:36did his own solo thing
39:37he released two albums
39:38bit the head off a dove
39:39bit the head off a bat
39:40pissed on the Alamo
39:41um
39:42and then his
39:43and sadly Randy Rhodes
39:44the guitar player
39:45died in a plane crash
39:46all in three years
39:47and he had like two top ten albums
39:49like
39:50yeah
39:50just like
39:51blew up
39:52but yeah
39:53it was uh
39:54kind of a wild time
39:55but who thought of him
39:55biting the head off
39:56that was just him
39:57just him
39:58that was him
39:58in all his divine creativity
40:00yeah
40:00it was
40:01but it was a joke
40:02it was just a joke
40:03yeah
40:03and the dove thing happened
40:04because they went to the record label
40:06and the story was
40:07that the record label
40:08wasn't going to put any
40:09marketing behind the record
40:11they didn't give a
40:11and so my mom was like
40:13hey come do a meet and greet
40:14with all the marketing execs
40:17and your A&R team
40:18and all that
40:19we're going to do something
40:19kind of like
40:20showy
40:21here's these doves
40:23put them in your jacket
40:24and when we go in there
40:25I want you to release the doves
40:27it's just kind of like
40:27hey I'm like this peaceful guy
40:29whatever
40:29so they do that
40:31and like the whole record company
40:32were like oh it's so cute
40:34whatever
40:34well my dad was
40:36just shithouse drunk
40:38and he sits on the lap
40:40of this exec
40:41from CBS records
40:43this woman
40:43and she's kind of like
40:44awkward like
40:45oh my god
40:45he sat on my lap
40:46and this dove
40:49lands on her knee
40:51he grabs the dove
40:52bites its head off
40:53and spits it on her
40:55and it was just like
40:57pandemonium
40:58security comes in
40:59he gets kicked out
41:01and before they'd
41:03got to the hotel
41:05it had gone everywhere
41:07all over the news
41:08that this had happened
41:09like they'd leaked it
41:09and then it instantly
41:10his album like charted
41:12and like every radio station
41:13ever was playing
41:14so it's a brilliant thing
41:15amazing
41:16and it's like jokes on them
41:17in it
41:17it's pretty funny actually
41:20hearing Jack talk
41:21about his dad
41:22makes me feel like
41:23because I was so apprehensive
41:24about asking him
41:25but that's what I want to know
41:26but he did it with such
41:28like tenderness
41:29like this kid remembering
41:30his iconic dad
41:32so it was really
41:33you know
41:33what a gift
41:34to tell us
41:35it wouldn't be PC
41:37to eat a bat now
41:38my dad would have been
41:38cancelled a thousand times
41:40over if he was
41:41in that face
41:43yeah
41:43yeah
41:47it's so good this
41:49that is weapons grade
41:52jungle jibber jibber
41:53that like
41:53it's so good
41:54isn't it
41:54only four days in
41:56we've already had
41:56Donald Trump
41:58OJ Simpson
41:59Bill Cosby
42:00Madonna
42:01George Michael
42:02Gwyneth Paltrow
42:03Ozzy Osbourne
42:04and now the Beatles
42:05I might pop down there
42:07and tell them my story
42:08about going to
42:09Wetherspoons
42:09with Stephen Mulhern
42:10keep it up your sleeve
42:13for just a couple of days
42:14okay yeah
42:15we will build to it
42:15yeah yeah
42:16build to it
42:17yeah
42:17the vote for Camp Fright

42:27fascinating conversation
42:28another one
42:29yes
42:30and it all kicked off
42:31with a chat about books
42:32oh good
42:33I love a good book me
42:34I always bring a big pile
42:36of books to Australia

42:51when did I stop reading
42:52yeah

42:5414, 15
42:56really
42:56what was the last book you read
42:58David Beckham's
42:59Football Academy
43:00no it would have been Beast Quest
43:02or something like that
43:03Beast Quest
43:04Harry Potter
43:05yeah
43:05I'm dyslexic
43:07when I read
43:08all the ends of the words
43:09jumble around

43:11yeah but you can get rid of
43:13I mean can't you

43:26wow
43:27I had two brain tumours removed
43:28no
43:29two
43:29how did they find it?
43:32I was
43:32I was making a show
43:34in Canada
43:35and I was playing this
43:37professor
43:39so I go into make up one day
43:41and I have to
43:42put on this
43:43board cap
43:44and as they pulled it on
43:46I could hear the whole
43:48of the
43:48make up wagon
43:49go quiet
43:50because you could see
43:51this lump on the back
43:52of my head
43:53but it was skull
43:55it was bone
43:56so it stretched out
43:58and what it was
43:59was the tumour
44:01that was underneath it
44:01that had been there
44:02for like about 12 years
44:03wow
44:04had run out of space
44:06to grow
44:06in the little gap
44:08so it started to grow
44:10into the skull
44:11into the bone
44:11so it started to show
44:13itself as a lump
44:14and within two days
44:15I was back home
44:17having my head cut open
44:19wow it's lucky
44:21they found it
44:22what was really lucky
44:23is when
44:23they scanned it
44:26they also found
44:27one that was sitting
44:28right in the middle
44:28so if it wasn't
44:31for the big one
44:31on top
44:32that would have got me
44:34oh that was
44:35that was the dangerous one
44:36yeah yeah
44:36the one in the middle
44:37was the dangerous one
44:38oh wow
44:39Martin opening up
44:41about his brain tumour
44:43was quite
44:44jaw dropping
44:45I think that took
44:46the whole camp
44:47back a little bit
44:48like we had no idea
44:50that that had happened
44:51what an incredible
44:52recovery he's made
44:53though wow
44:54so inspiring
44:56so they cut this one out
44:57and then they
44:58zapped me
44:59with stereotactic radiation
45:03did you lose memory
45:04or anything
45:04or
45:05for a while
45:06I lost everything
45:07I couldn't walk
45:08I couldn't see in one eye
45:09I was a train wreck
45:11really
45:12afterwards
45:12now I have a few
45:14little bits and pieces
45:15and one of them
45:15was dyslexia
45:16you mean you didn't
45:18have dyslexia before
45:19no
45:19it was tough

45:21for me
45:21it was tough
45:22for everyone around me
45:23yeah
45:23of course

45:35and healthier
45:35than I've ever been
45:36in my life

48:31the way to get to this fish
48:33like like a caveman and I
