Bulletproof Scorpio Sparks Panic at MDU: Armed Miscreants Storm Campus, Students Force Them to Flee

A wave of fear and panic swept through Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) in Rohtak on Wednesday after a group of alleged criminals entered the campus in a bulletproof Scorpio, triggering fears of a possible violent attack. A video of the incident, reportedly recorded by people present at the spot, has since gone viral on social media.

According to a report by Punjab Kesari, the accused are the same individuals who were earlier arrested for allegedly opening fire on a student inside the university campus. Recently released on bail, they are suspected to have returned with the intention of carrying out another attack. The use of a bulletproof vehicle reportedly indicated prior planning and an attempt to evade retaliation.

However, the situation took an unexpected turn when students gathered in large numbers and showed resistance. Seeing the campus crowded with students, the miscreants panicked. As students attempted to surround the vehicle, the accused fled at high speed.

During their escape, the attackers allegedly drove recklessly across the campus, ramming into several parked vehicles belonging to teachers and students. Multiple cars were damaged, adding to the chaos and outrage on the campus.

The incident has put the MDU administration under sharp scrutiny. As per the report, this is the first time that outsiders allegedly entered the university campus in a bulletproof vehicle, raising serious questions about campus security and administrative preparedness.

Former Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala reacted strongly to the incident, sharing the viral video on X. He questioned the state’s law and order situation and demanded strict action against goon elements using bulletproof vehicles, tagging Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in his post.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are examining CCTV footage to trace the vehicle’s registration number and confirm the identities of the accused.
