00:00My name is Aretta Itar. I'm the chef de cuisine at Grand Mercy Tavern, and here are some tips for better seasoning.
00:05So I'm a big believer in not seasoning from the container, especially with salt.
00:09You want to transfer it to something smaller, you have more control over it, and you don't want to run the risk of having it dump all over your food.
00:15You're sad, it's ruined. Devastating moment.
00:17And then when you're seasoning a protein, season it from a pie, not salt bay high.
00:21That's so silly. Just so you have a nice even layer, you can evenly season your proteins.
