00:00um so welcome to viewers who have joined us on bbc1 scotland as ever plenty of drama in scottish
00:10football both the games kicking off at three o'clock the top flight coming into the studio
00:14here today really difficult conditions across the country today let's get to the game up at
00:18tanneryston d united are at home to mother we'll get the very latest from billy dodds where it's
00:23just coming like oh just as um just just blasts across a shot just over the cross but still
00:29nil nil here it was a poor poor first half second half there really has been a few efforts fat had
00:35a run and curved a shot just wide um just then a deflected shot um slattery then dragged a 20
00:42yarder just past the post and sibyl nearly did a kenny mclean with a brilliant effort from just
00:47and well just a bit beyond the halfway line and just went inches past then henry's test the goalkeeper
00:52so plenty of chances here the game springing to life but still nil nil at tannery dice billy for
00:57to bring the guys in in the studio is there anything you'd like to see either man change
01:02up there and manager change to really take a hold of this game not not really i've got there's a
01:08corner coming in i'm not really kenny this this is a one where you've got to trust your players it's
01:13such a tight game where you you might just introduce a sub for freshness i wouldn't be
01:18changing positional uh but i would just what i would be doing is like for like to try and just
01:22get a bit of energy on the pitch and see somebody can get a winner kenny what i would do and you know
01:26if i look at motherwell i'm just looking at the stats and not that i'm overly coming on michael just
01:32is long below one of them yeah i would imagine he is 71 possession for motherwell i think that's just
01:40what we come to expect they're a team that dominate the ball but longer low in particular for me just
01:44because katrumbus has played on the left hand side and done well but i just think at times when there
01:50isn't anybody else who's holding the touchline in front of him there he's naturally right footed
01:54he's going to come and it just narrows things off a little bit long goal is very very good oh i had
01:58good save at um at driving the team forward and bringing you that width if you're going to try and
02:03stretch a back five from dunge united you really need to get that width from both sides i think
02:09long goal will certainly help to do that we'll get to alan pester now for that we'll get to william
02:13out of our broth four games in the championship today just some goal news before we get there sterling
02:16i would equalize the home the spartans won a piece there cory thompson with the goal in that
02:21game and also alo and el cooney of the south to liam smith with the second goal there for the
02:25wayside in 76 minutes let's then go into the championship the game at gayfield willie miller
02:30is there for us apologies we've got technical issues here today but willie a major thing has just
02:35happened in that game yes craig watson he's been sent off it was a rather rash challenge it was a
02:40straight leg it was studs showing and really the referee is right on top of it so you know a growth
02:46are now down to 10 men they've been totally on top in the second half score you know both goals as
02:52well looking as though they're cruising really struggling and then they get a man sent off so
02:57it is a great watch and it's been sent off in the second half here thanks to willie apologies the
03:04quality of the line they're pressing very much on thistle today after that fantastic result for
03:07st johnson last night we'll get back to the championship in a few minutes time but let's
03:10get back to the other three o'clock kickoff in the top flight this afternoon it's a massive game
03:14livingston against dundee at the bottom of the table alan preston is there for us well it's livingston
03:19one dundee two and dundee had all the elements in that first half the wind and the rain pelting
03:23into the livingston players faces and dundee took advantage 13 minutes hamilton with a shot really
03:28good serve by preon knocks it out and there was jan dander over the volley lovely finish from danda to put
03:33dundee one nil up five minutes later it was two nil jogan on the left hand side his cross found fellow
03:38winger on the other side congrave and he volleyed at home but livingston got back into it in the
03:43second half as i said they now have all the elements and they're pushing for an equaliser but their goal
03:47came in 64 minutes what was played through to bakila great strength to hold off cometion as the keeper
03:52came out he smashed it into the back of the net getting them right back into this game it's all
03:57livingston in the second half but it's still dundee who lead by two goals to one yeah horrendous conditions
04:01tom we're seeing the pictures coming into the studio here driving rain through there in west
04:05low then but that was a real quality finish from danda in the first half wasn't it it was yeah i
04:10mean you could you could say the goalkeeper should have done better but he's he's got a strong hand to
04:14that he's he's parried it away from goal the goalkeeper i'd say would have bet the house that that ball was
04:19good is he's cleared it into a safe safe area but danda's come in and he's accuracy in the finish because
04:24the ball is coming to amount of million miles an hour and he's finished it really really well so yeah i think
04:30you'd be overly picky for to criticize the goalkeeper credit the goal scorer and you'd have to say as alan was
04:36telling us there michael right back in at the home side there we'll get your thoughts just in a minute it was a good
04:41finish from bakila but another goal at gayfield william other yeah party getting one back taylor steven is in this
04:48occasion the ball coming in from the left hand side he's unmarked and he just strikes the ball he's into the back of the net from close range so
04:56man sent off and pharctic back into the game 2-1 for the home side those tilt 5-0 ray frovers
05:02right and here in the background it is an absolute disaster a really terrible day for ross county it starts part let's get the latest from rory watch
05:10yes indeed paul nicio makes it 5-0 it was a really good save from trevor carson from another substitute josh
05:16mullen but nicio's first to react terrible reactions and defending from ross county it has to be said
05:22and he adds the fifth of the day the first game on eight minutes a deep cross from mcmullen headed back
05:27across scott brown finished that one off mcmullen in 14 was tripped inside the penalty box and dylan easton
05:34stuck the penalty away really nicely gyro with the goal of the game half volley from 25 30 yards
05:39lasered into the bottom corner and we've just had our fifth one there which i've just told you about so
05:45sixes and sevens at the back for ross county wraith rovers superb on the day they lead 5-0 thanks
05:51to rory lloyd tom english we've got the fan element between half past five and seven o'clock and bbc at
05:56radio scott and a ross county fan will join us i know he goes to most of the games we had a very strong
06:01post-match interview from tony doherty last weekend he went for some of the players he was questioning
06:06their mentality it was going to be interested to see what reaction they got to look at the live
06:10table there four points of drift at the bottom and we've already had the discussion on the radio
06:14they've got to be serious question marks now over his position uh this is the kind of result that that
06:20signals the end for me you know it's bottom of the league he's he's gone to town on his players hoping
06:26for reaction and they're losing five now i just i would not be surprised if this was
06:31thought tom it could be sex oh poor choice of pass they were in again they're in behind but
06:36they've rushed ross county managed to get away this thing this this to me rory sounds like one of those
06:41results that you just do not recover from as a manager i mean i just some of the players that i have
06:46watched for years and know relatively well some of them just look totally different players they look
06:52devoid of confidence devoid of ideas and they deserve to be 5-0 down with this performance
06:58how would you react as a player if your manager quite publicly is critical and and particularly
07:03questioning your mentalities that i've learned a lot of these players he's questioning their attitude
07:07he said big changes would have to happen in january now whether the manager gets to see january or not
07:11we don't know but as a player how would you have reacted to that well i touched on earlier if that
07:16message has been communicated for weeks to the players themselves and the manager says look i can't
07:22he protect you any longer in the public i think there's an understanding there from a player's
07:25point of view that you've got to do better i think the players have got to take a lot of responsibility
07:29today because a couple of the goals we can see that goal just there defenders had an opportunity to
07:34react and get rid of the ball the same for the first goal which scott brown makes up extra yards to
07:38get their first to score so listen i do um think it's it's a very difficult for position for tony dockerty
07:45now but the players have to take more responsibility today because whilst they probably still would have been
07:50beaten it should not have been five right just a correction alex samuel with that goal for part of
07:54this so they're right backing up against uh ten man abroad now abroad two part of this one samuel
07:59that goal on 77 minutes in my next car thistle four hamilton aces nil billy mckay on 74 minutes
08:05that's you up to date and just confirmation that fifth goal for ray throwers paul and theo with that
08:10goal in 77 and an athletic in front at home to four for charlie maxwell in 79 minutes
08:152-1 in that game michael this is where we go to the other championship game just back to that game
08:20uh at almondvale it was a really nice strong finish wasn't it from uh the livingston player
08:24but killer wait a minute before we get there let's get to the game on the south side of glasgow
08:29chip young it's been coming for a while and the family have equalized it's a corner
08:35on the left-hand side and i think it's chillico and mullen who scores against a header comes off a
08:40player in the middle a little far post he meets it there knocks over the line then firmland a level
08:46just before that actually andy todd was around the goalkeeper couldn't squeeze it in they got a
08:51player across did queen spark to clear it off the line from the corner kick but it was a charlie
08:57gilmer actually who got that into the net eventually gilmer's been treaded with the goal
09:01but in any case it is queen spark one didn't firm one one thanks to chick there kelty halves of
09:07the week lies away at peter head two a piece there luke mccarville with the goal on 79 minutes
09:11clive three one up now away in mercedy kyle connell on 80 minutes michael just back to that game
09:16perhaps a nervy what 10 minutes or so for uh stephen president indeed after bakila doing well to get
09:21livy back into it yeah i think cometio needs to do better defensively when uh he's slipped through
09:29pequila just it's too easy holding off the defender but um it certainly breathes life back
09:33into livy's um um match here it gives them a chance there's no doubt about it the longer it stayed at
09:392-0 then you just think the confidence is going to drain out of livingston but getting that goal it
09:44definitely puts the game on a knife's edge it's been a real struggle for cove rangers this season
09:48they're behind the home to east fife gregor nickel with the goal late on there for the way saying just
09:53compromise now charlie gilmerick weiser away for uh development queens parts and fans six still
10:00raith rovers and it's jack hamilton and once again trevor carson has made the save initially
10:06from ross matthews it comes back out and jack hamilton follows up while the ross county defense
10:12stand and watch it's raith rover six ross county now so what what do you do with that obviously by the
10:19the sounds of it rory these players have downed tools is that is that too much of a cliche is that
10:23too is that too glib but the manager's ultimately responsible for it yeah yeah yeah i would say i
10:31mean i've i've been on the end of some heavy defeats myself and it's difficult to manage at times
10:37and your divide of confidence i don't think any player intentionally downs tools however it's certainly
10:42not a good look for the very few fans that have traveled down from dingwall tom six no i mean
10:47that's incredible it's not a good look when you do take the opportunity to call them out as you call
10:52it tom honesty and then there's a chance for mother and then you get that reaction that is for sure
10:58that's not a good thing and billy we're discussing on the radio e mccall was talking about it you get
11:02experience of it this is a club that pays very good money for these players money that a lot of
11:07players in the top point won't be getting and they're just not getting value for money right now
11:11they're definitely not getting that um but what you would have to say yeah you're probably looking
11:16at it and think in fact absolutely certainly certainly going we've got it wrong but it has
11:22worked for them in the past when they you know you look at a group of players and you think they're
11:26free in the summer or the january transfer window we'll bring them in and then roy put some money in
11:31there and comes up with a couple of suggestions and he's got it right in the past with certain people
11:36but you'd have to say this recruitment has gone totally wrong and billy in terms of your game
11:42about nine minutes plus stop is time to go are we likely to see a winner do you think a better second
11:46half i mean both teams have been so evenly matched michael was talking about laguela coming on but
11:51they've made about five subs three for motherwell two for dundee united but it's the same positions it's
11:57just such a hard one to call there's been a few chances it's been a better second half but
12:01uh i'm not sure if we'll get a winner it's that kind of feeling today billy would you see it as a
12:06positive albeit they're at home but given the rund and d united have been on and given how good
12:11mother they've been in recent weeks you think jim goodwin's heat is a good point today for exactly
12:15those reasons yeah i still think when things like the the rangers goal happens to in the last seconds
12:20of the game i still think he's desperate for a winner just to kick-start his team that will still
12:25get down as a start of no wins another one one in 11 so he wants to get rid of that he wants to
12:30patch that right away and that'll he'll be desperate but i think with all things taken into
12:36account today i think before the game i think we'll do i would take a point against motherwell they're
12:41doing ever so well we're struggling it wouldn't be a bad point but desperate now he's got it at this
12:45stage in the game you'll be thinking just somebody just somebody scored a winner for us to get us going
12:52if it finishes nil now this is it'll be sixth draw in that run he's on side oh it's hit the side
12:58then josh mullen clean through on goal it should be seven he times his run perfectly defender standing
13:02watching he should have scored that and it should be seven nil but it remains six wow it's incredible
13:09like that that is extraordinary and you know you look at it's it's six today it was two against
13:13adrianians it was three against morton it was three against the air it was three against our bro
13:18tony dock he lost his job at dundee on the face of it because he he's defensive defensive record of his
13:25team was was really poor the defensive record of this team is really poor so it's happening again
13:32yeah a long afternoon a long drive back for the county fans have made the journey down in difficult
13:36conditions across the country montrose three senus muir nil callum sandlins with a goal
13:42alan preston unbelievable it's two two
13:45yangi the subs came on it's a boss a corner comes back to mccolley tape whips it to the back
13:50my god yangi heads it down and i think mccracken makes a mess of that does it go through his legs
13:55oh yeah but we're going to get a replay in the studio here and michael's head is in his hands
14:00and no wonder michael going oh my god i'm quite right wait you see this you can see sports scene
14:05is on tonight 10 20 i think is it bbc one scotland is on tonight later because of course the late
14:10kickoff at the pocket stadium but michael we're just waiting for a replay to come into the studio here
14:14but that was shocking here we are here here we are michael just talk us through it well it's just
14:18a big deep cross to the back post yangi heads it and mccracken goes to actually it looks like he
14:23goes to control it with his boot and it right it goes through his legs it's truly horrific goalkeeping
14:30honestly how that's ending up in the back of the net is inexcusable it's not even it's not even a
14:35strong header it comes off his chest does it oh my god like seriously that's just it's inexcusable
14:42what like what is he is he trying to think he's just controlling that when he's what is he trying
14:46to do there he's talking about mccracken yeah i've got no idea i've honestly no idea it just
14:50you're going to back somebody to win this game it's livingston terrific in the second half
14:54and what a turn around alan i mean they've been brilliant they were cruising there weren't they
14:58just give me some context don't get me wrong the conditions are dreadful yangi's through
15:03almost through yangi the conditions are dreadful dundee had the elements in the first half and
15:07took advantage two nil up at half time and then you think right livingston's turn now they've got
15:12back in it with bakila now that will be yangi livingston have still got the element so you
15:16would think that they would be the ones to force the issue dundee have hardly been up the part the
15:20second half it's been all livingston they deserve to be back level terms speaking to people at half
15:25time they were saying if this goes three i'm out of here they were booed off but they've been
15:29terrific in the second half maybe kenny was right alan maybe it was uh david martindale's experience in
15:33these type of games thank you thank you for uh writing that wrong of earlier on that's an incredible
15:41turnaround amazing amazing turnarounds i mean you could tell that you could tell the momentum it
15:45completely switched uh to livingston dundee have another attack of north in the second half i don't
15:50think so now the goalkeepers on it that's just unacceptable the goalkeeping is unbelievable wait
15:57to people see it it's just it's remarkable i'm still pointing to what he was supposed to be
16:02doing there i mean it's truly awful it's a deep cross from probably what 30 yards out swung to the
16:08back post yangi is maybe about six yards on the angle headed towards the goal no great pace or anything
16:15on it and john mccracken is literally at the back post blocking off you know there's no way it's going in
16:21and somehow he manages to allow the ball to go through his legs i mean that is so bad but what
16:28do you do as a manager so after the game steven pressy will be asked for this how can you defend
16:33that what can you say that's the difficulty for managers at times because he's then having to
16:37think longer term yes and this is his goalkeeper what does he do what does he say that's where i've got
16:43a lot of sympathy for managers because all every with every sinew in his body he'll be trying to stop
16:49himself from going mental i would imagine the thing is that at the press conference though it's
16:55you've got an easy out because outfield players make 10 mistakes in the game uh if the goalie
17:00makes one we end up losing the goal but that's not what he'll be feeling no i mean it's an absolute
17:04shock you watch it in sports scene tonight peter head three kelty harps through jason brown in 87
17:08minutes Ian McCall he's reading his voice there he's down at capital this afternoon what's happening again
17:12well kenny do you know what and the the weather is atrocious but it has been an absolutely fabulous game of
17:18football i i don't know how morton's getting beat now i mean the the the first half was was nip and
17:23tuck but uh he took the lead just with a bog standard three kick uh three kick into the box from the
17:29master big sean mcginny towered about everybody and and knocked his his header into the net since then
17:35morton have absolutely dominated uh aaron lyle the substitute he's got to score from a a cross from
17:41from from moffat and then tommy adeloid i do not know how he didn't score he was a yard out i mean literally
17:48a yard think billy bremner 1974 uh but i don't know whether it's hit craig ross on the line or whether
17:54it's really really good defending but morton don't deserve to be getting beat but you know what credit to
18:00everybody that's here and particularly the players for putting on this type of game just still one nil to airdrie at capitol yeah good to hear a great ad there for the championship in very difficult conditions today it looks like a late winner for the championship in very difficult
18:08conditions today it looks like a late winner for snaraway elgin city that goal coming in the stoppage time 90 second minute that goal going in there so they've been a decent run of form harston rar off late let's go back to billy dodds up there at tannerice again billy i think we're all really looking forward to you'd have to say aside the united who who have good good players albeit they've been a poor run of form mother will absolutely flying a joy to watch but would you blame the conditions today billy for the poor game no not at all it's not too bad to hear the
18:38there was yeah there's a bit of wind and there was a wee uh scart in the rain but the the the wind i'm trying to look at the flag here it's not too bad kenny so no excuses been broken up a little bit there have been chances this second half dundee united going for it it's quite open this second half which is good dull check on the ball here both teams look threatening i would say that both teams trying for the winner even late on
19:01right okay let's change oh he's oh he's gone for the cutback i think he's will ferry a little one too and he's through but i think he should maybe try and score maybe the angles against him maybe him being harsh but he tries for the cutback and the chance is gone
19:16good goalkeeping now better the goalie sharp yeah yeah he was out tom to narrow it but maybe just clip it over him or get it under him try anything to get a shot on target
19:25i think he was as soon as he was slipped through i think it was in his mind he was wanting to cut it back dodgy i don't think he was ever setting himself to shoot
19:32had that feeling about it make it yeah we'll get we'll go to the the championship full times i can just hear from rory
19:37alloy there an absolutely thumping win for a wraith rovers well done to to gameery just in the door there real pressure you have to feel in tony
19:44dockert the county manager we'll get reaction to that a little later we'll get a full turn report from rory let's get to the game at armandvale
19:50livingston against indeed that bottom of the table clash alan preston is here for us very much game on
19:56now al it is and we've just been into six added on minutes the referee had a problem with his battery
20:00pack hence the reason why we're going to be having six minutes he added on time it's been brilliant stuff
20:05really good total game of two halves though kenny dundee dominated first half two nil up livingston
20:09right back in it honestly they're flooding forward he's thrown every striker he's got in the club
20:15i'm just waiting on david bingham coming on it's been that honestly there's not many strikers left
20:20david gould credit to him he's been chucking them on and they've got themselves back in the game
20:24that's gone back a few years actually david bingham but in terms of the game alan is there anything
20:28you've noticed that that has changed that has swung it back in livy's favor is it a change the manager
20:33made perhaps or no i think i think it's the weather conditions i'm being brutally honest it was been
20:37very difficult to get out you could see it in that opening period livingston were struggling
20:41they were hemmed back and dundee took advantage but davy just being davy he's just thrown caution to the wind
20:47that's thrown forwards on he's got every forward in his club on now to try and get back in the game
20:52and even now he's just brought muirhead on another forward thinking player to go and try and win it
20:56so good on him but dundee a little half chance there but it's going through to the keeper
20:59so i still think there's a chance in here it depends what one's going to get it
21:05tom we'll look at the league tables later on we'll do the classified look at the league tables but
21:09as things stand livingston nine points come on at 12 dundee uh on on 13 points
21:15sit down above them in 14 they've of course got the cup final 20 some games in hand
21:19right now would you say do you think it's between the three at the bottom of this thing stand would
21:23you if you look at that you would kilmarnock are right are right in us i mean if livingston get a
21:28winner uh now they're only a point behind kilmarnock in the business uh so i think it's the three of
21:36them they're the three teams that are looking to be in big trouble really and the rest of them
21:42said mary and dundee united falkirk and there's no issue there yeah i would separate the three of
21:47them yeah very tough times for these clubs no doubt at all about that let's go back to uh chick young
21:52he's watching queen's park against infernal athletic what's happening chick well we're into
21:57five minutes of time added on we're well into that i should probably play three minutes of that
22:02and then film and remember equalizing after queens took the lead after 39 minutes it was uh field
22:10simple with the goal for them henry fieldson early on but uh charlie gilmer has equalized after 81
22:16minutes and in fernland now maybe with the last chance of a pre-kig outside the box here
22:20uh queen's park with players back in numbers uh actually almost every player in the park by the
22:26goalkeeper just on the threshold of that 18-yard line interesting free kick on the left-hand side
22:32for the infernal to swing this in um it's not been a great game kenny it's evident flowed
22:37really like the weather has done all afternoon the wind blowing down this uh city stadium from left to
22:45right is that look on it from the far side away from them where the main stand is to defend one
22:50i've not made much of that queen's parker away it remains one a piece and we're well into that
22:56five minutes now of time added on ken right let's get back to willie miller up at gayfield again
23:01apologies for the call to the line here but the full-time whistle is gone willie
23:05it is yeah and it's a victory for a broad what a magnificent victory for them 10 men towards the end
23:12of the game as well the hutchie battle all the way through they got themselves a two nil up um but
23:18then when uh craig watching got himself sent off it was really difficult towards the end of the game
23:23the last 15 20 minutes they were battered and uh alex samuel got one back for party they had chance
23:31after chance did party official but they couldn't convert and it finished after about five six minutes of
23:36injury time here 2-1 for the home side what a magnificent victory in dreadful conditions but a
23:43very exciting and entertaining game i must say kept you on the edge of your seat but it's a growth
23:48that take the three points yeah thanks to him we'll look at the table later on full-time yeah check
23:53full-time it's full-time at the city stadium full-time at capital as well kenny right so thanks to
23:58check thanks to you mccall so victory for the wayside there ian i mean terrific absolutely terrific game
24:04of football uh i mean with the last kick of the ball owen moffat uh for morton uh hit the outside of
24:11the post with a strike so terrific game morton can cause themselves really unlucky uh to go down in
24:16there but great advert for the championship in horrific conditions yeah we'll get more from the
24:20guys more uh meat on the bone later on in the program just looking at that championship table must
24:24give an awful lot of credit to our growth part-time club they are third on the table 29 points five
24:30points clear of air united to occupy the last of the playoff spots as sing stand in st johnson 38
24:36points thistle 35 above 29 air united on 24 points so let's get back to that game through there at
24:44amonvale livingston home to dindy deep deep in the stock right alan i think i think ryan mcgowan's off
24:51yeah straight red the referee will have a look at oh that's a sub aqua who's gone through mcgowan
24:57grabs him pulls him down right in front of the referee no hesitation red card have a look at
25:03well certainly just we're looking at it in real time there and it doesn't look like anything other
25:09than what's happened although ryan mcgowan is claiming that he's the one that's been getting
25:12filled getting his jersey pulled he's standing on he's not going off michael at the moment so he's
25:16adamant that he's been getting his jersey pulled well he has but he's also got a hold of the
25:21striker and then he just collapses like a concertina and pulls the uh the the striker down
25:28it was going clean through wasn't it i can't see it i can't see it being overturned obvious obvious
25:32goal scoring opportunity yeah they're pulling each other's shoulders same at tanadice as well
25:37it's finished nil nil here thanks to billy dodds uh disappointing game up there at the zafran
25:42goal is dundee united and motherwell so we're just that that's been confirmed alan has it yes he's
25:46a way off now yeah just watching the pictures coming in here tom it was a professional foul
25:51it's just coming up there in the video printer in the 96th minute but probably quite an important
25:56foul to me in reality because that was really a golden chance for dundee yeah an important foul
26:00they could have scored but then it's an important player that they're going to be missing now
26:03yeah yeah they're very experienced defenders just come back into the state and he's gone and it's
26:07that's a bit of a signal on what looks like a so far a pretty positive day for livingston coming
26:14back from two nil to make it two two two two at livingston great game really good yeah two two in
26:20that game a great fight back from davy martindale side they had gone into a two nil lead their wayside
26:25they looked barely comfortable but after half time they really changed things up the home side
26:29and they got themselves a draw ryan mcgown sent off right at the death there uh so i think that's all the
26:35final whistles gone across the country uh this afternoon we'll do the classifieds for you and
26:40then we'll have a look at the table and just a reminder as well we're on bbc radio scotland right

27:29classified score lines for you this afternoon some really important games with a serious impact
27:35on the tables right across the country there were two games in the top flight we'll get the full
27:40turn reports as well from the guys in a couple of minutes time just a bit more detail on that
27:45alan saying it was a really great game through there at livingston so there's a classified scores

28:08that one is a 7 45 kickoff so into the scottish championship four games played today after that
28:16incredible game at somerset park last night that was a great victory for st johnson coming from
28:21behind beating air united by four goals to do what a victory for our broth today our broth two
28:27partick thistle one in really difficult challenging conditions what a win for air g morton nil air g1
28:35queens park one dunfermline athletic one and wraith rover six ross county nil what will happen to
28:43the manager tony doherty there's strong words from him last weekend criticizing his players as players
28:48gave him very little today we'll get more detail on that in a few minutes time and of course we will
28:53look at the tables they are adrift at the bottom of the championship into william hill league one
28:58alowen nil queen of the south two co-rangers nil east five one inverness caddy thistle four
29:05hamilton aces nil montrose three stennis muir nil and peterhead three kelty hearts two also
29:13a full card in league two today some really surprising score lines there you would have to
29:19say an athletic three fought for athletic one the barton two east colbride nil edward city one
29:27clyde four elgin city one strenrard two and sterling albion one spartans one and we'll look down in the
29:35english premier league there today a lot of kickoffs spread out right across the weekend but two games
29:41kicked off at three o'clock two home wins chelsea two everton nil liverpool two brighton nil
29:475 30 start burnley are at home to fulham eight o'clock arsenal are at home to struggling wolverhampton
29:54wander so let's then have a look at the tables across scotland this afternoon before we go back
30:00around the grounds and get more detail and stay tuned we will hear from the managers right here
30:04on the bbc so hearts top of the table they kick off at fulker tonight at eight o'clock they're on

30:15points rangers playing monday night 26 hibbs 24 points they're at ibrox on monday aberdeen top six
30:2221 points fulker kickoff tonight they're also on 21 points let's then look at the bottom of the table
30:28so from bottom up livingston after that fight back today they're on nine points kamarnock on 12
30:33points dundee in 13 and st mern of course in league cup action tomorrow the final they are on 14 points
30:40let's then go into the championship a really good weekend you'd have to say for the leader st johnson
30:46they have three points clear once again or part of this is a great win for them tonight thistle
30:50beating at gayfield they're on 35 points abroad what a season they're having the part-timers 29 points
30:56a united they make up the playoff spots on 24 bottom of the table ross county 12 points queens park 14
31:03airding a good run of form they are on 17 points let's go into league one and it's been a really
31:09good day again for the leaders inverness carathis are convincing victory over hamilton ackeys
31:15for them today they're on 33 points aloe 28 steny on 27 queen of the south on 25 points kelty hearts
31:22they are bottom of the table on nine points just above them cove rangers who lost at home
31:28today and into league two in scotland this afternoon let's just have a recap of the table
31:35there east colbride 28 points spartans 28 points a good victory for clyde today 26 points
31:40trin radon a great reform they're on 21 points emerald city of course that massive points deduction
31:45they lost also today they are bottom of the table they are on eight points so stay tuned we'll bring
31:51you managerial reaction right across the country today we're on the radio right through until after
31:5610 o'clock we'll get fan reaction we'll hear from pundits and from the managers and an eight o'clock
32:00start at the falkirk stadium falkirk are at home to heart so let's then get to that game
32:05at tanner eist and d united nil motherwell nil and get a bit more from billy dodds
32:12so it's one one second just a problem with billy's mic that we can just hear him faintly in the
32:18background we'll get that sorted for you a few technical issues i think weather related across
32:22the country today so let's then go to alan press and he's at amonvale livingston to dundee to and
32:27you're saying alan a really good game through there today a magic game kenny really really good game
32:31me two halves totally the weather the wind and rain played its conditions uh is in dundee's favor
32:37in that opening period 13 minutes hamilton shot from 25 yards good save i thought from prio
32:41goes out to yandanda it's a brilliant volley into the back of the net to give them the lead five
32:45minutes later it was two nil yogan wide in the left crosses it congrave his right winger coming in as
32:50good wingers do and he smashes the ball home for two nil living got back in the game in 64 minutes
32:55bakila holds off cometio shows really good strength and a fine left foot finish into high into the back of
33:00the net living were pushing every striker they've got on they pushed everybody forward in 85 minutes
33:05ago probably a fortunate equalizer ball into the box from tate from about 30 yards out there was
33:10yenge with a header down and it seems to go through mccracken's legs into the back of the net they push
33:14forward livingston try and get the winner dundee on a rare attack in the 96 minute ryan mcgowan
33:19set off for a straight red card professional fouler on aqua brilliant stuff here at livingston really good
33:24and played in dreadful conditions livingston to dundee too yeah great game there michael let's just
33:29talk about some of the positives there and it was a good goal from bakila to get livingston back
33:33into a great tidy finish good technique from danda opening the scoring for dundee and they look very
33:38comfortable at that point but a lot of credit must go to livingston albeit the way they got that
33:45equalizing goal was it was shocking but i mean from livy's perspective i think that is a real pivotal game
33:51there because obviously at halftime they're staring at being really cut adrift at the bottom of the table
33:56um whereas now there's a lot of positives to take from it that um two and all down they bring
34:02themselves back into they get a draw they keep themselves in connect you know in contact with
34:06the teams that are above them so yeah i think it's a positive afternoon for for living for dundee
34:12i think it's just you know it's um it's a microcosm of their season as a whole it's just been round up in
34:19that one game the you see the highs of what they're capable of good performance in the first half and
34:26then invariably shooting themselves in the foot because even the first goal i don't as i said at
34:30the time i don't think cometio's defended it particularly well i think he's got to be a lot
34:34stronger got to get round and and just be physical and out muscle bakila or certainly maintain contact to be
34:42able to get a block on it or something and then the equalizing goal is just you can't legislate for
34:47that from a managerial perspective um i know elvis has got a fair amount of hair but he's certainly
34:53going gray um he could well end up with no hair at the end of that it's it's terrible is there something
34:59in the water in dundee because between dundee united and dundee now today their goalkeepers have had
35:04some shocking moments and today was was was inexplicable and inexcusable that mistake it was
35:12just the most extraordinary thing you could watch that 20 times and wonder what on earth was he
35:17trying to do there yeah i know i don't think i'm saying you just can't legislate for it and i don't
35:22think you can even begin to you know explain what's what's happened so it's a it's a sore one for dundee
35:27um but i mean i think you touched on it there you're talking about sort of three four teams at
35:32the bottom of the table that um are going to be challenging or scrapping it out the bottom of the
35:37table perhaps st mirran will be able to drag themselves away from it maybe i'm not sure but
35:42certainly when you look at dundee kilmarnock and livy you would think that um they're the teams that
35:46are going to be um battling out at the bottom of that table and today shows that livy you know
35:50they're not going away no no there's plenty of dig there they've got loads of problems yeah but what
35:56they what they don't lack for is is the stomach for the fight the biggest thing i'm looking forward
36:02to and wondering is is dodgy got out of the bath to um be able to give us a report from tanadice
36:07well it sounded like he was firmly in the bathtub yeah it was a strange sound billy dodgy with us
36:12yes i am i can tell you boys it wasn't i wasn't in the bathroom i'm going to blame uh brian
36:19mclaughlin but anyway definitely definitely worth well doing that to the program um sorry brian
36:24anyway i'll get the first half out of the way i mean uh only one chance of note and it was just
36:30direct football goalkeeper richards just pinged a 70 yard ball waters took a great touch and nearly
36:35squeezed it in uh into the second half did liven up and uh fatah had a running curve shot
36:41just then had a deflected shot uh just wide as well slattery then dragged a 20 yard effort just
36:48uh past the the goalkeeper's right hand post but the best effort came from sibble when he nearly
36:54scored uh maybe a just inside uh the mother will half he picked up the ball he spotted the goalkeeper
37:00off his line he hit a kenny mclean uh kind of kind of shot it dipped just inches wide of the
37:06goalkeeper's right hand post with him beating so that was the best effort of the game and then
37:10henry straight away uh curled a shot straight at the goalkeeper and at the death ferry maybe should
37:16have gone for goal instead he's trying to cut back and stamapolopoulos he'd a header uh just over
37:22better second half tell you it couldn't have been any worse uh after the first half a draw probably
37:27fair it finished at tanadise dundee united nil mother will nil billy just stay with us in the
37:32screens in the studio here we can see jim goodwin we'll hopefully hear from him just shortly he's
37:36speaking with the media right now and we were chatting during the game billy and albeit they were
37:41at home today but given the run of form they've been on the really poor run of form united up
37:46against a good mother will team who are flying high you think a good point for for them today
37:50the home side i would think so i mean you'll be desperate to get a win on the board and he did
37:55talk pre-match kenny didn't he about that rangers result that got away from them that would have just
37:59relieved pressure and you can't beat that as a club as a manager as a whole as a as a set of players
38:05so but you've got to look at the evidence going into this game and mother will were flying and he was
38:11probably thinking you'll do well to take a point today um i think as i say there was the the
38:17opportunities for each team was probably similar the amount of chances they had each a draw was a
38:23fair result and i think it's one that he'll be pretty pleased about and he'll probably talk a bit
38:27building on it now and what about from a motherwell perspective the fans that made a journey up there
38:31today that are on their way home at the moment will be joined by a motherwell fan in the fan element
38:35on the program on radio scotland between half past five and seven o'clock uh billy what do you think
38:40they would have made of that game today that performance they'll be disappointed they didn't
38:43win it obviously but my word 27 points from where they were earlier in the season uh the brandy football
38:49they're playing their their fans stayed and clapped and they were pretty pleased it'll be interesting
38:53in the winter months for motherwell when the pitches maybe cut up a little bit as well if they still
38:58keep the same style i think they will the fans love it um they they played well in stages today
39:03they created opportunities the pitch was decent um so they're pretty happy there'll be a wee tinge
39:09of disappointment from the motherwell fans i would say that they couldn't get the three points but i
39:13think a draw was fair as i say thank you to billy dodds up there at tanadise jim goodwin still it's quite
39:18a long interview going on right now we'll say it up there at tanadise but could you because you'll have
39:23seen it can you remember or did you notice what is the name of the stadium tanadise the cal construction
39:30cal forth construction tell me cal forth construction limited cal forth construction
39:35no that's the company yeah but they sponsor it so it's your stadium cal forth construction arena
39:40at tanadise park yeah and they're getting good money for it quite nicely i don't know what your
39:46point is right i want to get your assessment of the top six and how many places you think they're
39:50up for grabs i know it's the early days but right now let's hear from the united manager jim goodwin
39:53jim wasn't a classic what was your take on the day no it wasn't a particularly great game and
40:01i don't suppose the guys in the sports scene studio will have too many highlights to pull from today's
40:07game but look from from our own perspective you know a really disappointing performance down at
40:12paisley last weekend the structure of the team i thought was excellent i thought the shape out of
40:18possession was really really good um you know it wasn't as if motherwell had loads and loads of
40:24possession and they were hurting us um you know my goalkeeper's not had a great deal to do albeit
40:29you know up the other end the motherwell keeper hasn't had a great deal to do either
40:32you felt as the game was going on you know one goal was going to be enough we said that at half
40:36time it was that type of fixture um you know we had a couple of half chances fat as unlucky in the
40:41second half with one just by the post and then unfortunately in the last kind of maybe five or six
40:46minutes we just didn't get the break of the ball it was ricocheting about in the motherwell penalty
40:49area so for us the pleasing aspect of it is the clean sheet it's our first clean sheet would you
40:55believe um since the end of august against undee so i always think that's a good foundation to to
41:01build from you know defensively we have to be better we've conceded far too many goals this season
41:05um and i believe there's goals in this team unfortunately today and that wasn't the case we almost had one
41:12piece of magic from craig sibbold when he had that shot from just inside his own half
41:16inches away jim that that would have certainly let up this place wouldn't it yes absolutely i mean uh
41:22look the motherwell goalkeeper um you know he takes chances you know he plays a really high line
41:27he's uh an important uh integral part of the way that they want to play he's very much you know the
41:33modern day sweeper keeper distribution excellent and um because he wants to play that way he's very often
41:3840 yards outside his goal and you know we highlighted that in the analysis during the week
41:42sibs clever enough to you know see it and um you know unfortunate that it just didn't go in
41:47yeah let's talk about that then because it was an amazing moment michael we watch it you got a good
41:52angle from behind the goal there so you can watch that for yourself that will be one of the highlights
41:56jim was talking about might be a struggle but the highlights together think we can be very
41:59creative in here so that's bbc1 scotland 10 20 tonight but just talk us through that michael it was so
42:04close to being a wonder goal wasn't it very good i mean i think obviously jim goodman was touching on it
42:08there that uh the fact that he's regularly out his goals by a fair distance and yeah sibbald was
42:14i think he was probably at least what 10 yards in his own half or certainly it was close to that
42:19and struck it with his left foot and it was you're talking less than a foot past the post it was so
42:25close um and the goalkeeper was no way he was getting back he wasn't able to get a block in it so
42:30uh inventive struck it very well very close but um ultimately obviously it just went the wrong
42:37side of the post and they came away with nothing well we'll go around the championship grounds in a
42:41minute's time we'll hear from willie the line was bad there it was a great win for a bro today we'll
42:45go around the championship guys a bit more detail in a few minutes time but i think that game it
42:48starts part i've just received a message from a a very angry uh ross county fan jens bertalaska the
42:54mother managers on our screen now as is stephen presser we'll try and bring them to you we're on the
42:57television till about half past tonight for yourself tom and yourself michael just looking
43:02at that top six how it's shaping up right now how many sides you think are a given to be in the top
43:07six come the split how many spaces do you think are up for grabs as things stand um i would i would
43:14say one one yeah right so we're going heart celtic motherwell rangers hibs yep right and then we're
43:20looking at and possibly dungeon united depending on you know you heard jim goodman they're saying
43:26that um that's quite a start one you know fact stat that they hadn't had a clean sheet since the
43:32was it dundee darby i think he'd said there whereas motherwell have had five in a row yeah so
43:36incredible yeah for me i think that um the top five are are pretty solid i don't see anything that
43:42would suggest to me that they're going to you know drop out um aberdeen are obviously on an upward
43:47trajectory although i still think you know there are there's structural issues left wing back is
43:55just a is a gaping hole for me with aberdeen you know i've gone on a bit enough but if they're able
44:00and and up top there's a striker they've not got anybody that's that has claimed that position
44:05um falkirk are are competitive so i would look at those three from six to eight aberdeen falkirk
44:12and dungeon united probably being competing for that uh that last spot and i've no chance for united
44:16uh sorry simon if they went on a run um yeah but i just i'm not sure i'm not sure i mean look of
44:24course there's a possibility but you know if i was if i was to say who i think i don't think they'll
44:29make it this year personally if you look if you look at all those teams that we just mentioned there
44:32aberdeen have the capacity to spend in january yes whereas the others probably don't good point yeah
44:37good point but do you know what uh james bird valaska just finished speaking to me they'll hopefully
44:42win actually shortly stephen presley's in a screen now he must be absolutely gutted uh what we're on in
44:47that game today particularly the concession of that equalizing goal late on definitely a goalkeeping
44:52error there four games in the championship today are both two partners the one we heard from willie
44:57miller earlier on a great win for our bro there thistle got a late goal but couldn't get their way back
45:03into it so let's just have a wee look at the other three games that we've covered on open all mics today
45:07let's then start to the game in the south side of glasgow queens park and home to denfermline
45:11chick young is there for us a decent game today chick
45:14what i would say kenny is that i hope i have more excitement next door to this stadium tomorrow
45:20afternoon watching st myrne play celtic that was not a thriller here the queens park denfermline game
45:27and my sympathy goes with the players because there was wind and rain and all sorts of gusts really
45:33ruining the football match and it was difficult for the players even a
45:36a very good surface at the city stadium to get anything out about to get any quality there were
45:41very few um goal opportunities uh was queens who took the lead after just 39 minutes henry
45:49philson with his first goal of the season for queen spark put them ahead at halftime and and it often
45:56happens in these games it's it's perhaps easier playing into the wind uh as denfermline who had to
46:01play into it in the second half got the equalizer that was that came from gilmer from charlie gilmer
46:06they had to wait to 80 minutes 81 minutes to get that when the wind and rain subsided a little bit
46:11the quality of the football was enhanced but it was not a great football match um i think the
46:17family would be hoping they could win the game and then press themselves into one of these promotion
46:21playoff places queen spark need the points for very different reasons at the bottom of the table
46:26it was not a classic though um and as i say i hope um next door when another team performing
46:33black and white as these two teams did today the quality of the football match is much better it
46:38finished here at the city stadium queen spark one and denfermore one yeah thanks the chick we'll have
46:43a wee chat with the lads we were giving a big preview earlier on full coverage on the radio tomorrow
46:47of course off that league cup semi-finals st mernan at home to celta also touching the eight o'clock
46:51kickoff in the premiership tonight falkirk at home to hearts we'll be joined by fans of these clubs
46:57between half past five and seven o'clock on bbc radio scotland we'll get to the other two
47:02championship grounds in a couple of minutes time capolo and starts park let's return to that top
47:06flight game that took place this afternoon amon vale livingston to dundee to let's now hear from
47:11the dundee manager stephen presley stephen how do you begin to sum that game up today
47:17it was a proverbial game of two halves to be honest with you um we obviously came out the
47:22blocks very aggressively uh started the game particularly well won a lot of second balls
47:28that was really important in the game but used the ball well and um you know our two wide players
47:34caused them a lot of early problems um and then found ourselves two now up and and in a good position
47:41and and playing with with a great deal of confidence and at half time we spoke about the
47:47importance of getting pressure to the ball because there was really difficult conditions today the
47:52wind was behind them in the second half we tweaked the system slightly and the start second half we
47:57went 4-4-2 but we didn't manage to get the pressure that we hoped and then we lost two really disappointing
48:03goals you know when you come to places like this and the conditions that were you can't give away goals
48:10like we did today you said it would be difficult anyway coming here never mind with the conditions on top
48:15of it as well just how disappointing is it though the manner in which those goals were conceded in
48:19the second half when at half time you looked so so comfortable yeah very disappointing you know and
48:26when we lost the first goal of course we're a little bit nervous that's natural because of our league
48:32position um and we we didn't manage to get to grips with the second half and credit to livingston
48:38they put us under a lot of pressure but we just have to be better on the goals you know in general we did
48:43okay on certain instances and we never managed to get our passing away in the second half as well
48:48which was disappointing um so all in all you know after being two now up we come away with a point
48:55we're disappointed with that um and we'll reflect yeah it's such Stephen Preston there Michael you of
49:02course know him very well you've been in a dressing room with him as a as a teammate as a captain
49:07very calm there is that the way you're expecting to be in the dressing room with the players right
49:12now given that disappointment and individual errors today yeah well i mean i think it'd be good to hear
49:20from the likes of you know dodgy and and collie who have been managers um through different generations
49:26as well i think that you get to a stage nowadays where the ranting and raving doesn't have the effect
49:32you definitely have still got to have that ability to be able to show anger and disappointment but
49:38um i don't think uh Stephen Presley will have uh been you know overly demonstrative but he certainly
49:46will be getting the message across exactly like he's just said there that you cannot it doesn't matter
49:51where you go and play football you just can't defend like that and concede goals so poorly and expect to
49:57uh pick up three points you know they're two nil up that should have been a game that they
50:04they were able to see out by whatever you know mechanism just defend properly get three points
50:11put it down to good strong first half played really well we saw out the second half but they've not
50:18they've capitulated defensively and they've lost two points because of it it's just yeah that is a sore
50:24one to take from a managerial perspective but i do think that you'll have to mask a certain element
50:30of it because otherwise it's uh it becomes self-defeating i think yeah you look at there's a game
50:36between these two sides in september and dundee went two nil up livingston made it two two but dundee got
50:44the winner they got a late penalty make it three two there was no reprieve for them today but these
50:48these kind of results you're two nil up against a very very close rival at the bottom of the league
50:55and you give it up it's it's it's got it's like a kick to the solar plexus of of of one manager but
51:02it's a kind of a relief for another david martindale because he sees his his team are still well up for
51:08it well could one of these clubs find themselves in the championship next season four games in the
51:13second tier today let's get to that game at capital morton we're at home to airdrie and get some more
51:19detail from you mccall yes kenny i came here i did not expect that type of game absolutely terrific
51:24terrific game of football the home side will be devastated they get beaten uh one nil by airdrie
51:30um because they played ever so well in in the second half i mean the first half it was lit up by
51:36michael garrett the the wide left for uh for the home side for morton he probably should have scored
51:41after 18 minutes um he arrived late in the box and i think he's got to got to stick it in target
51:47i told me i had a lawyer as well had a header just before the interval so uh didn't quite get it in
51:52target nil nil at halftime and in appalling conditions but terrific game of football uh second
51:57half i mean i'll run through the the morton chances but tell you about the goal first the goal it was a
52:03bog standard delivery into the box from a master uh and there's sean mcginty all six foot four of them
52:10terrific header into the to the the bottom right hand corner gave airdrie the lead against a run of
52:16play uh albeit airdrie played well today um but i tell you morton garretties uh had a great chance
52:23from uh from owen moffat's cross then the sub aaron lyle uh he must score uh from another really good
52:30cross from moffat he's got to take it first time on the slick surface but he's got to score
52:34really good save from young melrose uh in the airdrie's goal and then the miss of the game
52:39adeloid or was it good defending from craig ross adeloid the morton striker it was literally from
52:45one yard and it's hit off craig ross went out for a corner and very literally the last kick of the
52:50ball uh owen moffat is cutting and rattled one off the outside of the post i mean everybody deserve
52:55credit here um particularly the players because it was a terrific game of football finished morton nil airdrie
53:01one ian just stay with us we'll bring up rory lloyd because he's at starts park today undoubtedly
53:06the the result of the day there rory will give us the the full-time report and a bit of detail on
53:12what he saw particularly from these county players today ian but you were saying earlier on you of
53:16course know the the county manager tony doherty very well you've worked with him and you don't
53:21like seeing it but you were saying earlier on when the one goal down two goals down to you felt this
53:25got ugly which certainly did get you the real concerns over his position well i think he will be as
53:31well i'm sure tony will be you know you know that type of result i think it was either tom english or
53:36mike in the studio said that there is sometimes a result that is the tipping point i mean i i had
53:42won it in dundee united i lasted two or three games longer but we could be it might have been 6-1 in a
53:47semi-final of celtic so it happens i'm not saying they will pull the trigger but sometimes this type of
53:54result does make that happen and you know i think there was i don't know who it was again i think it
54:00might have been michael made a good point at halftime either you can't get rid of it certainly
54:04couldn't have been tom well that was a fair point you can't get rid of 20 players but you what's
54:08you going to do what's what's roy going to do does he think tony's the man to try and get three or four
54:13good signings does he trust him for him to get good signings because a lot of these players weren't his
54:17in the january window and go from there does he just get another new manager and then they just go
54:21again it's turmoil up there i fear for for my friend but i think the right decision would be
54:28to keep him on and let him rather than just reorganize everything and get and get a new guy
54:33and uh it's with two weeks whatever it is two three weeks to go before the transfer window but
54:38six nil that's that is a result that sometimes tips people over the edge ian thank you very much
54:45indeed so rory lie up there at starts part what did you witness today i mean what did you see from
54:50these county players albeit a lot kind of must go to rayth rovers it's been a great start for
54:55but what did you see from a county perspective rory we'll have a county fan join us on radio
54:59scotland just after half past five well you know i said during the show that um i felt that
55:05ross county players were devoid of confidence but there were certain things within the 90 minutes
55:10which were quite simply unforgivable and the determination the application and the attitude
55:15to defend some of the goals quite simply wasn't there you know writing my notes here scott brown's
55:21first ones a follow-up which it looked to me for all the world i would need to see it again that the
55:25defenders if they had reacted quickly enough and and wanted to get there enough they could have
55:30maybe done something about it scott brown maybe ends up scoring in the end but certainly could have
55:35done more that's for sure um you know the third goal jai rouse uh goal is an absolute beauty nobody
55:41could stop that you know you're quite happy for him to shoot from there there's no real blame
55:44there the penalty that's conceded is a lazy leg that's stuck out um you know paul mcmullan's going
55:50across the goal they've got two three bodies in the way it's just a lazy leg that's put out um i mean
55:55you go into the second half and we go on to the fourth goal the amount of space that paul mcmullan
56:01finds himself in then to lift his head and be able to square the ball to dylan easton who can take two
56:06touches in the box lift his head freedom of stark parts just to starts part just to roll it in the net
56:12no recovering defenders it didn't look like there was any again um real determination to get back in
56:18and try and stop the goal going on a lack of pride in their defending and then um paul and seo's goal
56:23the substitute again it's another follow-up um for me again i think that if the defenders are more
56:29switched on and and want to actually commit to trying to defend properly then they could have done
56:33something about it again i might be harsh i'm only getting one look at it but it was a repetitive
56:37theme throughout uh you know mullen's shot was parried by carson who must have been pulling his hair
56:42out because he actually didn't have a bad game he made some great saves but any save he did make
56:46it was wraith rovers who got on the the next one and scored and that's exactly what happened for
56:50the sixth goal jack hamilton followed up um on a shot from doherty again it's hamilton who who's
56:57first and and goes and scores no pride no commitment no real determination to defend up the other end
57:03ronan hale did have a couple of chances he to be fair he fought and scrapped and did everything he
57:07could he had an overhead kick which was um you know saved and um white had one crash off the bar in the
57:13first half but overall the defending from ross county today was nothing short of horrific
57:18yeah letting our manager down big time we'd have to say so wraith rovers six ross county nil i can see
57:23david martindale on the screen we'll hear from him on radio scotting between half past five
57:26and seven o'clock we're going to go off the telly just shortly guys so the late kickoff in the top
57:31flight fault against heart should be a belter full conversation to come we chatted earlier on we
57:36previewed tomorrow's league cup final tom right now it feels quite a tough one to call there's an awful lot
57:43of things come into play in this one now well there is because there's a confusion in in the
57:47celtic team uh square pegs round holes that's the expression that everybody's using and i think it's
57:52apt uh if celtic turn up and they are everything that they can be they should win the game but uh i
58:00think there's a lot of uncertainty about celtic and i think there's a fair degree of confidence in
58:05st mirin that they could they could pull this off i would agree completely that um it's been quite
58:12incredible the um the sort of fallout from martin o'neill leaving wilfrid nancy coming in losing two games
58:20it's rocked celtic to the core again i would suggest and the pressure just mounts into this match and for
58:26st mirin obviously i just think last week was a huge one for them to win and it definitely sets them up
58:32in a far better mindset and they were so good st mirin in the semi-final it's been another really
58:36busy day lots of stories the conversation continues on radio scotland reaction from managers pundits
58:41and fans followed by full comments it should be a good game at the fall cut stadium fall cut against
58:45hearts from everyone who's joined us on bbc one thank you very much and we'll see you soon
