00:00Greg, what are your thoughts? Because Washington wants a deal by the end of the year.
00:03And I'm wondering to myself whether a good and lasting deal can be struck that quickly.
00:10It's challenging. And the wild card here is always Putin, because Zelensky has agreed, you know, in principle to so many of the proposals that the president and his team have come up with.
00:21And it's always Putin. Putin doesn't mind more of his people dying.
00:25So what President Trump is trying to do is stop the killing and the body bags.
00:30I'm quite sure the Ukrainians would love to do that, too.
00:33And I think any argument that we can't cede anything, there's certain things that we can't give up.
00:39Well, yeah, but who's going to fight, continue to fight this war?
00:42The Europeans have never volunteered boots on the ground.
00:46They've never said, oh, this is so urgent. We will fight to the death.
00:49They'll keep supplying or sending money to Ukraine, although they're not even doing that as much as they should lately.
00:56But, you know, that's that means they'll fight to the last Ukrainian.
01:00And you've had well over 250,000 either desertions or soldiers going AWOL in Ukraine.
01:07They are running out of people.
01:09And so I'm not sure how anyone who claims that, you know, any any advocate for peace is a so-called Putin sympathizer.
01:16That's not what President Trump or any of us are doing.
01:19We're not advocating or supporting Putin.
01:22We just want to stop the killing.
01:24And if that means some compromise, well, that's that's just inevitable because Ukraine just can't win this war.
