00:00I was surprised and I mean I appreciate the support and the endorsements you know we are saying that Tobago is we and part of that means that you know from time to time there are people you disagree with perhaps on some principle matters but it does not mean that when it comes to Tobago we can't find grounds to agree and work together and it is just what it is and of course I appreciate all the support I can get.
00:26Mr. Augustine told TV6 News while he did telephone Mr. Duke the call was not a recent one.
00:34There is something I believe in. You see when you are victorious it is not the time to be petty about something and notwithstanding the fact that we won the last election even with him present in the race which is a demonstration that we can win with and without him.
00:52I felt it was a time to also say to him look we have been at this we have had some disagreements and this conversation had nothing to do with this election actually.
01:05It was some time back and that's why I was surprised.
01:09Augustine said he is not taking anything for granted as the work has only now begun for the January 12th 2026 polls.
01:18We still have to work for the votes and we are not going to take anything for granted.
01:22We take every support for what it is and we appreciate it but we are still going to go out, canvass, knock on every door and engage the Burgundians for the support.
01:33I don't feel for a second that this thing is just locked indefinitely and I believe in this democracy one ought to work for it and I am happy to work for it because that's what makes this democracy such an important one.
