00:00All the guys out there, whether they be in the media or just regular fans who want to use last night's game as like a I told you so moment.
00:07I told you that Jalen Hurts isn't a good quarterback.
00:10I told you that the Philadelphia Eagles aren't very good with Jalen Hurts.
00:13I told you that someone had blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
00:15And you're all bat poop crazy.
00:18And here's the reality of last night's game.
00:20Eagles losing overtime 22-19.
00:22They dropped to 8-5.
00:24That's three straight losses.
00:26They're 4-5 in their last nine.
00:28The Chargers get a huge win, go to 9-4, which almost guarantees them a wild card spot and makes it much harder for Kansas City to actually make a run to get in.
00:39More on that later on.
00:40The focus right now has to be on the Eagles and Jalen Hurts, all right?
00:44Jalen Hurts did not play well yesterday.
00:46Let me say it.
00:48I can't find an aspect of the game where Jalen Hurts was the better quarterback or playing a competent game of football.
00:55Except, though, except, though, A.J. Brown, who's been a locker room cancer for the majority of this year, had not one drop, not two drops, not three drops, but four drops.
01:10Whether it's the very first play of the game, when on a scramble play by Jalen Hurts, he sees A.J. Brown and did the right thing, went yard, and Jalen Hurts hits him in the fingertips, and he drops the ball.
01:22Whether it's the touchdown pass with two minutes to go, that effectively would have won them the game in the end zone.
01:30A great pass by Jalen Hurts, and once again, A.J. Brown, it drops the ball.
01:35There was the pass over the middle that became the interception.
01:38Pass was a little bit high, of course it was, but that's a catch that every wide receiver in football makes.
01:45He didn't want to get hurt.
01:46He certainly saw the linebacker or a cornerback coming at him was going to lay him out, so he made a business decision, and the ball goes off his fingers, his hands, and into a defensive back's hands for one of Jalen Hurts' interceptions.
02:01So, are the stats good or not?
02:03Did Jalen play well?
02:04He did not.
02:05But if A.J. Brown keeps his mouth tight and uses his hands that God blessed him with, that can catch a football in the NFL, guess what?
02:13The Eagles win this game by double digits.
02:16And consider the fact that with five turnovers in the game yesterday, the Eagles still had the ball inside the Charger 20 on a first and 10 with a chance to win the game.
02:29That's how good the Eagles are.
02:32Now, let me be critical of Jalen Hurts, okay?
02:35Because Jalen Hurts did not play well.
02:38But Jalen Hurts is a damn good quarterback.
02:40And you guys all forget, because he's had back-to-back bad games, and he's turning the ball over now in the last two weeks, that for the first 11 weeks of the season, my man had one interception.
02:53Like, how do you forget that?
02:55How do you forget that 10 months ago, the guy was better than Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl?
03:02You guys can't forget that.
03:04So all the nonsense out there about, oh, they should bench him, they should trade him after the season, he's not the guy.
03:1210 months ago, he walked on water in Philadelphia.
03:1610 months ago, you were comparing him to Michael Jordan.
03:2010 months ago, he was the Super Bowl MVP and authored one of the great runs in NFL history.
03:27Three weeks ago, he had a single interception on the season, and the Eagles have been a wire-to-wire, first-place team in the NFC East.
03:38Has he played well?
03:40No, he has not.
03:41Last night was not a good performance from Jalen Hurts.
03:44But you guys are going to act like you've never seen a franchise quarterback have a bad game?
03:51Patrick Mahomes had one two days ago.
03:54Three interceptions, no touchdowns, barely over 100 yards.
03:59Are the Kansas City Chiefs considering trading Patrick Mahomes?
04:03No.
04:04Are they considering benching Patrick Mahomes?
04:06No.
04:07Are they pointing out that he had nine drops?
04:11Yes.
04:12So how come Eagle fans aren't pointing out that A.J. Brown cost the Eagles the game last night every bit as much as Jalen Hurts did?
04:20Now, here's the criticism of Jalen Hurts, Tyrone.
04:23You're an Eagle fan.
04:24Obviously, I'm going to let you get into this in just a second, okay?
04:27The one bad pass, the pass that he could take back if he could, was the last play of the game.
04:33Because you have a first and ten.
04:36You're deep in charge of territory.
04:38A touchdown obviously wins the game.
04:40You're well within field goal range.
04:42You know you're going to force another possession if you make the kick and you stall out on that drive.
04:47And rolling to his right, that's a ball you throw away.
04:52You do not throw a ball like that even though the ball is going right to the receiver.
04:55And it was a great play by the charge of defensive back.
04:58If you're under pressure in that spot, a veteran quarterback, a winning quarterback, throws that ball into the crowd.
05:06And let's go fight again second and ten.
05:08Period.
05:09Stop.
05:09But the nonsense about how Jalen Hurts suddenly is incompetent, Jalen Hurts suddenly is overrated, isn't worth the money, shouldn't be our future quarterback, you guys have gone crazy.
