00:00Arnold Schwarzenegger said he is shocked and saddened to learn of Eliza Dushku's alleged sexual assault
00:05during the filming of True Lies. The action star toplined James Cameron's 1994 action thriller.
00:10Cast mate Tom Arnold tweeted that the actors and director Cameron would have done something had they
00:15known about the alleged assault. In response to the tweet, Schwarzenegger wrote on Monday evening,
00:30she is so courageous. On Saturday, Dushku accused True Lies stunt coordinator Joel Kramer of assault
00:35in a lengthy Facebook post. The actress claimed she was sexually molested by the stunt coordinator
00:40after he lured her to his hotel room during production. She wrote in part,
00:44Since the allegations became public, True Lies star Jamie Lee Curtis wrote an essay for the Huffington Post
01:10addressing the subject. She said,
01:14Unconscionably, those reports frequently come along with claims by the perpetrators that, as adults,
01:25those perpetrated against had some part in it.
01:28Eliza's story has now awakened us from our denial slumber to a new horrific reality, the abuse of children.
01:34Cameron has also publicly commented on the allegations. Speaking at the Television Critics Association's
01:40Winter Press Tour, to support AMC's visionaries James Cameron's story of science fiction, he said,
01:45Eliza is very brave for speaking up. I think all the women are that are speaking up and calling for a reckoning now.
