00:17The Riverdale star posted a lengthy and emotional video to Instagram on Wednesday, claiming the musician's rise to fame has

00:42But now, because of how it's impacted my life personally, I feel like I have to talk about it.
00:46Mr. Fantasy first exploded online in late 2025 thanks to his eccentric persona, signature black bob hairstyle, and quirky videos,
00:55with fans quickly speculating that he was secretly Apa's alter ego.
00:59Social media users also pointed out that the pair appear to have identical tattoos, fueling the theory even further.
01:06The singer has since amassed more than 1.2 million TikTok followers and even performed his song Mr. Fantasy at
01:13the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
01:15Apa claims the comparisons have now reached a breaking point.
01:18The actor referenced a recently released music video featuring several of his close friends, saying,

01:35The video for Mr. Fantasy's new track, Do Me Right, includes appearances from several of Apa's former Riverdale co-stars,
01:42including Camila Mendez, Lily Reinhart, and Madeline Petsch, as well as celebrities like Rob Lowe, Nick Jonas, Dave Franco, and
01:50Patrick Schwarzenegger.
01:51Apa went on to claim that the situation has damaged his reputation professionally, saying,
01:56It's f***ed up because I just lost on a huge job and can no longer go in for serious work
02:03because people think that I'm a joke because of this guy.
