00:00Hello friends! Avengers Endgame is almost upon us so it's last call for all
00:03your crazy fan theories about who lives and who dies. Captain America is going
00:06back in time to marry Peggy Carter. I think Tony Stark is going to go off into
00:10space and keep the Infinity Stones safe. No, no, no, no. Pepper Potts is going to use
00:14the power she gained in Iron Man 3 and kill Thanos. Oh yeah, forgot about those powers.
00:18Yeah, that's where they never come up, right? Yeah. This week on Heat Vision Breakdown we make our
00:22final predictions for how Kevin Feige's 11 year 22 film Opus will give our heroes
00:26the send-off they deserve. Also, we're placed in bets.
00:32To keep this video under the three-hour runtime that Endgame has, we're going to be
00:36focusing on the fates of the original Avengers, not the 67 other characters
00:39that have been introduced and somehow still remain even after Thanos killed
00:42literally half the universe. So many actors. Let's begin at the most logical
00:46starting point and the hero with which Feige started this whole thing in the
00:50first place. Iron Man. Tony Stark's journey is that of the MCU. He went from an
00:54amoral weapons dealer to a man who fights bad guys and business associates, and a
00:57metal suit to a guy who fights flying slug aliens, evil robots, his friend Steve,
01:01another alien who literally becomes God, and of course his greatest foe, some
01:05struggling British actor named Trevor. We've watched the MCU grow through Tony's
01:09eyes. He's the guy that's been there since the beginning, and as it has slowly
01:11grown more outlandish, Tony has kept us grounded. As Doctor Strange says in Infinity
01:15War, Tony is somehow the key to defeating Thanos. The notion of Tony making the
01:19sacrifice play has been building ever since Avengers, when he flew a nuke through that
01:23wormhole over New York, then again when he nearly died after being impaled by Thanos
01:27in Infinity War. Given all he's been through and how much he's grown as a
01:30character, it seems appropriate that Tony must sacrifice his life in order to
01:33bring this story to a close. At the same time, something about that also seems too
01:37damn depressing, really. Why would you want to kill your most bankable star, when
01:40you could just send him off into space, leaving the door open for him to become an
01:43elder statesman a la Nick Fury, someone who can pop up for a week of
01:46shooting every now and then and to bolster your movie's bottom line? That's just good
01:50business. Final prediction? Tony survives and the Infinity Stones are divided up
01:54amongst several people. Along with Pepper, he goes off into space to protect his
01:57stone and use it for good. Thor. While Iron Man and Captain America have been
02:01great since day one, Thor took a bit of time to find his groove, like Stella. It
02:05wasn't until his third standalone film, Ragnarok, that Chris Hemsworth was really
02:08allowed to shine, and as such, it feels like he still has so much more to do. The God of
02:13Thunder has also become one of, if not the most, powerful beings in the MCU, and we
02:17haven't gotten to see him in action nearly enough yet. If it wasn't for his
02:20need to gloat and pull off one final quip before finishing Thanos, he could have
02:24defeated the Mad Titan. Do they not have Call of Duty and Asgard? You go for
02:27headshots, Thor! As the MCU moves on to future threats on a galactic scale, it seems
02:32unlikely they'll shelve one of their strongest heroes, just that he's basically
02:35gone Super Saiyan. Final prediction? Thor helps find his Asgardian brothers and
02:39sisters a new home planet to settle, and continues to get into wacky adventures,
02:42perhaps with Taika Waititi coming back to direct a Thor 4 at some point. Hawkeye.
02:47Dead. Next!
02:49Come on.
02:50Fine! Jeez, Hawkeye fans.
02:52Clint Barton is the Avenger that's just always sort of been there. Even he knows
02:56how stupid he is as a character.
02:58Will anyone even notice me?
03:01But hipsters will still say he's one of their favorite heroes. Basically, he's the
03:04Avengers version of saying your favorite Beatle is Ringo. We all know your line to
03:07seem interesting, but whatever, Lady Madonna's a good song.
03:10Despite all the jokes, there is a commendable and even endearing everyman quality to Hawkeye.
03:14He's a loyal warrior and friend, strong family man, one hell of a shot with a bow and arrow,
03:18and he deserves a happy ending.
03:19Clint Barton is getting his own Disney Plus miniseries, which is said to introduce fan-favorite
03:23protege Kate Bishop, so clearly he'll be passing the torch to spend more time with his family,
03:27like a disgraced politician.
03:29Final prediction? It's obvious his wife and kids are going to come back after presumably
03:32dying in the snap, and he'll retire to the woods. Really what he should do, though,
03:36is use the Time Stone to go back in time and rethink that haircut.
03:39Hulk. Technically, Bruce Banner does have a solo movie in the MCU, 2008's The Incredible Hulk,
03:44but people don't talk about the Edward Norton film that much. It's still better than the Ang Lee one, though.
03:48Mark Ruffalo has imbued his version of Banner and his towering green alter ego with a real sweetness
03:53and tragedy that has made the character more compelling than any other performer has managed before.
03:57Ruffalo manages to thread the fine needle of both comic relief, sage advisor, and conflicted antihero
04:02with deep-seated inner demons with depth and subtle care. I said both, but I then listed three things.
04:08The most important aspect to remember about the character is that he's simultaneously two different entities.
04:13One who wants to live out a quiet life as a scientist with his globe-trotting assassin girlfriend,
04:17as things kind of seem like a conflict, while the other seemed perfectly content living as a gladiator
04:22on Trash Planet ruled by Jeff Goldblum. The big guy only appeared briefly in Infinity War,
04:26and he got his ass kicked pretty good, but expect him to come out for real in Endgame in a way we've never seen before.
04:32Final prediction? The Hulk and Bruce Banner will split. Bruce will be able to ride off into the sunset,
04:37while the Hulk? Well, he's going to space, obviously. Cosmic Hulk!
04:40Black Widow. Natasha Romanoff has provided a lot of the charm for the MCU,
04:44from giving Steve Rogers a hard time in Winter Soldier, to kicking Hawkeye's butt in Civil War.
04:48She also had to endure Iron Man 2. We all had to endure Iron Man 2.
04:52What?
04:55Though she may have started off a bit one-note, Black Widow has grown into a much deeper character,
04:59softening the hard edges of a woman who was raised as a weapon,
05:02into someone with genuine feelings of empathy and compassion for her teammates.
05:05She also has become a leader in her own right, and understands tactical battle strategies better than anyone else in the Avengers crew, save for Steve.
05:11Final prediction? A prequel solo film is currently in the works, but don't expect Endgame to be the end of Natasha's story.
05:17She could emerge from the film as the senior member of the Avengers or the new head of S.H.I.E.L.D.,
05:21perhaps helping lead the team from a strategic planning position, a la Nick Fury.
05:25Maybe she'll shave her head.
05:26Captain America.
05:28Steve Rogers has become the unexpected heart of the MCU.
05:30From a scrawny kid from Brooklyn who could do this all day, to a beefcake whose only misstep might be dating his ex's grandies.
05:36Yee.
05:37Captain America is the guy who always does what he thinks is right, even when it's hard.
05:40Perhaps more than any of the original Avengers, Cap's death would be the most expected, but it will also break a lot of hearts.
05:45Cap is a man out of time. Literally, he's technically like 102 years old.
05:49And he would have no issue dying for the greater good, so why not let him?
05:52Could he somehow end up living his days back in his original timeline, perhaps with help from the Time Stone?
05:57Sadly, no, as that would open up an entire can of Time Paradox worms that really no screenwriter would want to deal with.
06:02Unless you're Rian Johnson. The MCU is complicated enough already.
06:05Final prediction, Steve Rogers passes into the afterlife, but not before we get to see him finally share a dance with Peggy Carter via the Time Stone.
06:12Aww.
06:13Okay, so to tally it all up, we have everyone living but Cap. That can't be right.
06:17Alright, here's a more cynical take. Cap will die, that's a given.
06:20Tony will sacrifice himself, probably in a way that brings Spidey back at the same time, just as an added emotional punch.
06:26Thor will live, but he'll lose that axe, so what's even the point?
06:29Black Widow will die, causing the Hulk to finally come out again.
06:32And, the worst possible scenario of all, everyone dies in the first hour and then we get two hours of Hawkeye.
06:37Just reading a paper.
06:39Well, you've heard our predictions, but now we want to hear yours.
