Sources say the 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' and 'Pulp Fiction' filmmaker has written a script that he is planning on directing this fall.

00:00Quentin Tarantino is gearing up for his 10th and final film.
00:04The filmmaker behind some of the most popular movies of the past three decades,
00:08such as Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Bastards, and more recently Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,
00:13is putting together what's being called his final film.
00:16The name of the project is The Movie Critic.
00:18Tarantino wrote the script and is prepping to direct this fall.
00:22Logline details are being kept under wraps,
00:24but sources describe the story as being set in the late 1970s in Los Angeles
00:29with a female lead at its center.
00:31It's possible the story focuses on Pauline Kael,
00:34one of the most influential movie critics of all time.
00:37Kael, who died in 2001, was not just a critic, but also an essayist and novelist.
00:42Kael also had a very brief tenure working as a consultant for Paramount.
00:47Tarantino has attracted the most coveted actors for his roles,
00:50such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt,
00:52so it's safe to assume big names will be attached to the project.
00:56The filmmaker has long maintained he had a finite number of movies in him,
01:00saying he wanted to direct 10 films or retire by the time he was 60.
01:04Even though he plans on retiring from filmmaking,
01:07he has expressed interest in other areas,
01:10noting he could direct limited series or plays.
01:12In 2021, he published a novelization of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
