“I think when it comes to theatrical movies, I've come to the end of the road," the Oscar-winning filmmaker says.

00:00Quentin Tarantino says his new film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, may be a swan song.
00:13For decades, the filmmaker behind Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and Django Unchained has been
00:17adamant that his career behind the camera would only span 10 movies. But with his ninth film
00:22about to hit theaters, even that number may be cut short. In a recent interview with GQ Australia,
00:27the Oscar winner suggested his new movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie
00:32could very well be his directorial swan song. The director said,
00:35If Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is really well received, maybe I won't go to 10.
00:39Maybe I'll stop while I'm ahead. We'll see. He added,
00:43I think when it comes to theatrical movies, I've come to the end of the road.
00:46Embarrass yourself like that in front of all those goddamn people!
00:51The film marks Pitt's second time working with Tarantino, 2009's Inglourious Bastards being the first.
00:56And the actor said he believes Tarantino will only direct one more film, if that.
01:01Now that's not to say the director will be done completely with the entertainment world.
01:05Tarantino said,
01:06I see myself writing film books and starting to write theater, so I'll still be creative.
01:10I just think I've given all I have to give to movies.
01:13Once Upon a Time in Hollywood opens July 26th.
