00:00The National Assembly of Venezuela unanimously approved the draft agreement
00:15condemning the plundering of the Venezuelan company CITCO by the U.S. government and sectors of the national far-right.
00:23Colombia's foreign minister's response to U.S. president clarifying that the country does not accept military threats.
00:30And in the United States, the Secretary of War, Pete Hexeth, continues to face serious problems over operations carried out under his command in the Caribbean.
00:41The Senate is requesting all audiovisual material from one of the first attacks.
00:49Hello, welcome to From the South. I'm Luis Alberto Matos from the Dresor Studios in Havana, Cuba. We begin with the news.
01:00In Venezuela, Parliament unanimously approved a reputation of the theft of CITCO by the United States in complicity with the far-right in Venezuela, calling for the revocation of the nationality of five individuals involved.
01:21Meanwhile, Vice President JosĂ© RodrĂguez stated that they would take the case to all instances to seek justice.
01:26A report with Madeleine Garcia.
01:28The Venezuelan parliament stood firm against the brazen theft of CITCO, a subsidiary of PDVSA, in the United States.
01:40It was unanimously approved to repudiate the largest plunder in the history of Venezuela.
01:45Behind it, an entire mafia was orchestrated by the supposed interim government of Juan Garrido, to pave the way for the expropriation.
01:52This investigation reveals at least 351 individuals responsible in the country for the heist of the century.
02:03Among them are 94 parliamentarians who are part of the assembly in contempt.
02:08There are 108 pseudo-officials who participated in the parallel institutions or boards of CITCO of PDVSA holding, the Central Bank of Venezuela.
02:23This is not something recent. This has been brewing for 17 years, 17 years during which there have been resistances and battles in various international forums.
02:38But who is behind this theft was named by Vice President Delcy Rodriguez, who said it with name and surname.
02:45The imminent forced sale of CITCO constitutes a new episode of the multifaceted aggression being carried out by the United States against Venezuela,
02:58in complicity with Maria Carina Machado, Edmundo Gonzalez, Arusha, Juan Garrido, Julio Borges, Carlos Becchio, Jose Ignacio Hernandez,
03:07and the group of organized criminals self-styled as the National Assembly of 2015,
03:22which has attempted to usurp the representation of the Republic and its entities abroad, leaving Venezuela defenseless in the face of this brazen theft.
03:30Venezuela reiterates that it does not recognize, nor will it ever recognize, the forced sale of CITCO,
03:45carried out in blatant disregard of the guarantees and economic freedoms, due process, and the right to defense guaranteed by any civilized nation.
03:52Juan Garrido tops the list of the five politicians from whom they have requested the revocation of nationality.
04:06The theft of CITCO was the straw that broke the camel's back for orchestrating the maneuver to strip away an asset from his own country.
04:13A call to the national executive to formalize the revocation of nationality from those who do not respect their nationality.
04:24Jose Ignacio Hernandez, Dinora Figuera, Carlos Becchio, Juan Garrido, and Horacio Medina, who are the main leaders of the massive theft of CITCO.
04:39Venezuela warns the world of the risk of investing in the United States.
04:49This case, it will go down in history as clear and pathetic evidence that in the territory of the United States of America,
05:00foreign investments are neither respected nor guaranteed, and they can be subject to illicit appropriations at any time under convoluted subterfuges.
05:15CITCO can only refine Venezuela's extra heavy crude oil, that is how the company was designed.
05:23The United States, under the facade of fighting drug trafficking, has reiterated that its intention is to steal Venezuelan oil, and now it has carried out the plunder of CITCO.
05:32Madeleine Garcia, Telesur, Caracas, Venezuela.
05:37In this context, in a session of the National Assembly of Venezuela, the President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodriguez,
05:43announced the unanimous approval of an agreement condemned the plundering of the oil company CITCO.
05:49The Honorable Members of Parliament who are in favor of approving the agreement bill to condemn the plundering of the Venezuelan company CITCO,
06:02by the U.S. government, and sectors of the national fascist right, with the modifications discussed here, including the call for the withdrawal of the nationality of the leaders of that gang of thieves who facilitated and enriched themselves astronomically with the plundering of CITCO.
06:19Please express so in the usual way, the agreement is unanimously approved.
06:24Mr. Secretary please proceed to publish it in all media, and please also proceed to write a letter of request to the citizen and constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,
06:37for the purpose of the conclusions derived from the approval of the agreement.
06:42Likewise, Pedro Infante, first vice president of the National Assembly, stated that the plundering of the Venezuelan company CITCO reaffirms President Nicolas Maduro's denunciations
06:56about the true intentions behind the U.S. military threat which seeks to appropriate Venezuela's natural resources.
07:03That's why we present this agreement before this National Assembly.
07:10The draft resolution repudiating the plundering of the Venezuelan company CITCO by the U.S. government and fascist right-wing sectors nationwide.
07:27And I believe we can perfectly connect this.
07:29On November 30, President Nicolas Maduro sent a letter to the OPEC and OPEC plus Secretary General, where the president clearly states that the U.S. government's interest
07:38Their threats of force and actual use of force in the Caribbean, mainly against civilians, aims at regime change, and regime change seeks to steal natural resources, primarily oil.
08:00This is a clear example. We could send it as an annex to OPEC, OPEC, OPEC plus member countries and peoples worldwide as irrefutable proof that the U.S. government, the North American imperialism, wants to steal our people's oil.
08:19Now, our first break coming up. Remember, you can join us on Tik Tok at Telestol English, where you'll find news in different formats, news updates, and much more.
08:31We're going to be right back. Stay with us.
08:53Welcome back. The Chinese government declared its rejection of U.S. interference in Venezuela.
08:58This dance comes at a time of growing tension in the region marked by military deployments in the Caribbean and threats of interventions.
09:11Going with our correspondent, Bruno Falsi.
09:13Greetings to the workers of Telesur and all the audience watching us in this transmission.
09:29I am in Beijing now to inform you that the Chinese government reaffirmed its rejection of any internal interference in Venezuela internal affairs.
09:40This Lin Jiang spokesperson for the Minister of Foreign Affairs responded to recent statements by the U.S. President Donald Trump, who suggested that the airspace around Venezuela should be considered closed.
09:57China based on international law, which protects the sovereignty of states and prohibits intervention in their internal affairs.
10:09Now, with you, the words of the spokesperson.
10:12China opposes any action that violates the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations and the sovereignty and security of other countries, as well as the interference of external forces in Venezuela's internal affairs, under any pretext.
10:26China urges all parties to jointly safeguard the status of Latin America and Caribbean region as a zone of peace and to prevent further escalation of the situation.
10:33China maintains its stance of respecting Venezuelan sovereignty, while President Nicolás Maduro insists in rejecting any external threat that could affect the country's stability.
10:50Both sides call for calm and the preservation of peace in the region.
10:57With this news, we return with you in the studios in La Habana, Cuba.
11:02Cuba.
11:03Interventionist policies and siege carried out by the Trump administration against Venezuela were also rejected from Colombia.
11:12The government of that country said that the U.S. announcement of the alleged closure of Venezuelan airspace is a violation of various treaties.
11:19Our correspondent, Nan DarĂo Tobar, has details.
11:22After Trump's announcement about the alleged closure of Venezuelan airspace, some Colombian airlines were divided between maintaining their services or complying with the directive issued by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and suspended their operations.
11:41Some members affiliated with airport services in Colombia's capital claim that such actions are part of the siege the United States maintains against Venezuela.
11:51Regrettable, because this shows that at least in the airline where I work, they use a commercial slogan that says,
12:00The sky belongs to everyone clearly with this decision we are seeing that it is not so. Obviously, these are political decisions due to the situation that has been worsening, and it is undoubtedly part of those actions by the U.S. to blockade Venezuela.
12:15And well, the alert in the region is precisely a possible intervention that is blatantly in violation of all regulations.
12:22According to inquiries with airline workers who have halted their flights to Venezuela, the companies have decided either to reroute flights to a border city with that country, or to offer a proactive refund, or a partial refund.
12:43Airlines such as Arvianca have taken such measures, affecting their passengers.
12:48The situation reported by colleagues is very complex. The option available is the relocation of clients via Cucuta.
13:00So then they delay the flight that one had already scheduled beforehand, and you arrive at a place only to find that everything is blocked, the economy is terrible, and who is going to answer for that?
13:13And who is going to answer for that? Tell me.
13:16I want basically what I consider an injustice.
13:20The Colombian president, Gustavo Petro, stated that the closure of Venezuelan airspace is illegal, and maintained that no airline should accept illegal orders regarding the airspace of any country. He requested that President Trump restore respect, an international legal order.
13:39Meanwhile, the Civil Aeronautics Authority, through a communique, reported that Venezuelan airspace operates normally and safely, rejecting statements from third countries, that, without jurisdiction, generate confusion for civil aviation.
13:54In Latin America, all of this highlights the need for countries and governments to follow their peoples who are supporting Venezuela and stopping this offensive by Trump.
14:07Unfortunately, there has not been much courage in facing this situation. Now, with the air blackade, the only one from abroad who has spoken out is Petro.
14:20In a firm stance, he asked the International Civil Aviation Organization to make a statement on the matter, which it has not done.
14:35Meanwhile, in recent hours, Donald Trump asserted that Colombia could be the target of ground attacks due to cocaine production, to which Gustavo Petro responded by inviting him to take part in the country's ongoing fight against drugs.
14:52Hernán Dario Tobar, Gaitán Telesur, Bogotá, Colombia.
14:55On Tuesday, Colombia's foreign minister responded to US President Donald Trump rejecting any insinuation of military action after the White House suggested that the South American nation could be subjected to attacks.
15:08During a meeting with his government team, the US President made a series of claims, once again without evidence, about the existence of large drug processing industries in Colombia.
15:17In response, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bogotá stated that although they remained committed to peace, they would firmly defend national sovereignty and respect for international law.
15:27They also rejected the unfounded claims made on the same day the Trump administration released Juan Orlando Hernández, one of the biggest drug traffickers to the United States.
15:37Previously, President Gustavo Petro clarified to the Republican that attacking his country's sovereignty is declaring war.
15:43We now have our second break coming up. Before we invite you to join us for a special interview with Honduran presidential candidate for the Libre Party, Rixi Moncada, this Wednesday, December 3rd at 7 p.m. Caracas time, 6 p.m. Havana time.
16:03The details on Honduras electoral process alongside our special envoy, Jorge Gestoso, 7 p.m. Caracas time, special interview with Libre presidential candidate Rixi Moncada, only on Telesur. We're going to be right back.
16:33Welcome back. In the United States Secretary of War, Pete Hexeth continues to face serious problems over operations carried out under his command in the Caribbean.
16:45The Senate is requesting all audiovisual material from one of the first attacks.
16:49Lawmakers from both chambers question the Secretary's new version, who has gone from knowing nothing about what happened to admitting that he witnessed the maneuver, but only the first part.
17:00In this context, the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Republican Roger Wicker, has heard that Secretary Hexeth confirmed a second attack in which two survivors were executed in a shipwreck after a U.S. strike destroyed their vessel.
17:12The Secretary of War has tried to shift all responsibility for the operation to Admiral Mitch Bradley, though several Republican lawmakers questioned his transparency and his version.
17:21I'm very, very concerned about an order that would say kill them all, kill them after they've already been wounded, after they're drifting apart.
17:34But for some people, this is distinctly different to second strike. I think both strikes are actually illegal.
17:40I don't think you can just name people and say, well, they've got drugs. Well, where's the proof? That's an allegation.
17:47And these people are 2,000 miles away. People don't realize these Alpour boats have no capability of reaching America.
17:53Take them like 20 stops to refuel to get up here. In all likelihood, none of these boats are coming to America.
17:59It's a completely made-up and false sense that, oh, we're at war, we can do whatever we want, but if Congress wants to vote on it, oh, no, no, we're not at war.
18:08So they're at war if they can do whatever they want with no oversight. But if Congress were to get involved with that, oh, it's not a real war.
18:14It's just a war where we name people who we don't like. We call them terrorists.
18:19And on Tuesday, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Besson canceled his visit to Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina, amid an apparent deterioration in the relationship between the Trump administration and the government of Javier Malay.
18:31By-lateral tensions rise as Washington is upset by the growth of Argentine trade with China, which exceeded $13 billion in the first nine months of 2025, despite pressure from the White House or President Malay to reduce that link.
18:44On the other hand, other key political requests from the U.S. President, including closer ties with Mauricio Macri, did not come to fruition.
18:52In addition, the arrival of Pablo Quirno at the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs has made communication between Buenos Aires and Washington more difficult for their increasing tensions.
19:14The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed its commitment to the Gaza peace agreement, but warned about the serious violations committed by the Israeli occupation.
19:33Masjid al-Ansadi, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, reiterated that mediators are maintaining the process of monitoring and supervising the peace agreement reached between Hamas and Israel.
19:43They acknowledged that efforts are being made to prevent its collapse.
19:47And although this is the longest ceasefire since the Genocidal War began in the Palestinian enclave, Israel's constant violations could lead to its breakdown.
19:54Qatar reiterates that all parties must uphold the commitments made and push the sides to move forward to a second phase, not backward.
