00:00We would like to apologise to this committee, to all members of Parliament and to the Chancellor
00:06and the Prime Minister about the early release of the document on 26th November.
00:13We do know that this was hugely disruptive to two hugely important parliamentary events,
00:18Prime Minister's questions and the Chancellor's budget statement.
00:22We completely understand the importance of those events for parliamentarians and for
00:26the public.
00:28We also really understand the work and the care that goes in across government from
00:33the Chancellor down into the presentation of the budget statement.
00:38So everyone at the OBR deeply regrets that this happened.
00:42As you say, you have the report of the investigation into this, into what happened and how we can
00:48make sure it never happens again.
00:49And we would also like to thank Baroness Hogg, Dame Susan Rice, Professor Kieran Martin and
00:55the whole team for producing that report.
00:58And you can just be clear that David and I are fully committed to implementing all of
01:04the recommendations in the report to ensure this never happens again.
01:06This never happens again.
01:07This never happens again.
