00:00Actor Wentworth Miller has revealed that he was diagnosed with autism last year.

00:05The Prison Break star posted a blank white square on Instagram along with an explanation of his diagnosis,

00:10saying that it came as a shock but not a surprise.

00:13He wrote, in part,

00:14The actor criticized the diagnostic process for adults, calling it, quote,

00:25a long, flawed process in need of updating.

00:28Miller went on to say,

00:29This isn't something I'd change.

00:31No, I get, got, immediately being autistic is central to who I am,

00:35to everything I've achieved slash articulated.

00:38I also want to say to the many, many people who consciously or unconsciously gave me that extra bit of grace and space over the years,

00:44allowed me to move through the world in a way that made sense to me, whether or not it made sense to them, thank you.

00:49After revealing his diagnosis, Miller received an outpouring of love from fans.

00:53He thanked them in a post on his newly created Instagram page on Wednesday.
