00:00Chris Hemsworth is clarifying his previous comments about taking an acting break.
00:05Last year, during an interview with Vanity Fair, the actor revealed he learned that he had the
00:09ApoE4 gene, which is linked to an increased risk of Alzheimer's disease, during filming for his
00:14National Geographic series Limitless. While speaking with the outlet, Hemsworth added that
00:19he wanted to take some time off from acting. But Hemsworth is now clarifying, saying his comments
00:24were sort of blown out of proportion. He noted that the break wasn't necessarily connected to
00:28the results from the blood test that was included in the series. While chatting with E.T. about
00:33Extraction 2, he said, I wanted to take off because I've been working for 10 years, and I've got three
00:38kids that I want to spend more time with. Hemsworth said doing the National Geographic show made him
00:43quote, realize how life is just flying by, and I want it to be still for long periods and more often.
00:49The actor also noted that he still has several plans for future projects. The only difference is
00:54he's making choices that work best for him and his lifestyle. I want to be more curated about
00:59the choices I make, things I immerse myself in or I'm involved in. I want to have greater value
01:04and work with great people. For more on this story, head to THR.com. And for the latest
