00:00Hi. Julia Pierpaugh from Xinhua News of China. I'm just really curious, you've

00:05obviously got a tremendous comedic background. How does it feel to really

00:10delve into something so intense and so serious? Well, it's a lot of fun and very

00:16very challenging and and it is what drew me to Ozark originally. We were, we

00:22meaning me and the smarter people in my life, were looking for another film for

00:27me to direct. I had done a couple of sort of festival films and we were looking

00:32for something to scare me even more and and then Ozark kind of came our way and

00:40so well that's not a, we don't want to do a television series because then we

00:45can't direct a movie. What if I direct them all? That would scare the hell out of

00:49me because that's like a 600 page movie. And so I had to sit down and try to talk

00:55them into that because that's not what they were originally thinking about for

00:59me with it. So thank God I talked Modi Wichick into it over at MRC and and and

01:06Ted and Cindy over at Netflix and they they were incredibly kind to support me

01:12with this and this incredible cast and crew listening to some of my dumb ideas

01:18sometimes and here we are. Congratulations. Thank you. Hi Jason.

01:25Hi. Congratulations. Thank you. Are you ever going to go on another talk show and

01:29talk about your family vacation? You know Jimmy's on nine out of those, ten of those

01:36trips that we take with our family so I don't know what the hell he's like. He's

01:39the one that loves the dolphins, loves a good dolphin. Your deadpan reaction was

01:44pretty funny. Obviously you knew the joke was coming. Yeah Jimmy had to run that by

01:48me. That's our deal. If he's gonna hurt my feelings he's got to ask me first. Thank

01:52you. Steven did not ask though. Hey. Hi. So you've worked on both a really

02:02traditional broadcast network and then going to Netflix with this last Arrested

02:06Development and Ozarks. What are the big differences working with a streaming

02:11service and do you feel it on set? You do. Netflix and MRC both have very strong

02:21reputations for being super supportive of the people that they hire to actually

02:25make the shows and they are there if you have questions or need advice or more

02:35support or something but for the most part they trust you to you give them a

02:38reason not to. And their reputations are well-deserved and I could not be in a

02:47better situation there with respect to that. So I thank them as many times as

02:59Can you tease for us where the Byrd family is going in season three? They are well the the

03:07Riverboat Casino that we open on that last episode of the of the last season in fact

03:14does go into operation. We kind of pick up about six months later from the end of the

03:21second season and so that casino is up and running and that provides us with more

03:29opportunities both positive and negative and some that are tempting and some that

03:37are calming and ultimately it all affects the family and hopefully interesting ways and

03:45certainly the relationship that Marty has with Wendy and thank God I've got a Jedi Knight

03:53there and Laura Linney to help work out all those scenes. She's incredible and things

04:01would be perfect if she was holding up one of these next year too. Although I don't know

04:05where she's going to put them all she's got four already you know. Thank you everyone. Thank you guys.
