The comedy series' co-creator wanted to give his co-stars something special to commemorate the end of the show's six-season run.

00:00Schitt's Creek co-creator Dan Levy went the extra mile to commemorate the end of the
00:04show's six-season run with his co-stars. Rather than a physical gift like, say, a
00:09paperweight or a varsity jacket, Levy rented a house in Italy and flew the entire
00:13cast there for a two-week vacation to celebrate the show's wrap. Levy spoke to the
00:18Hollywood Reporter at the recent SAG Awards where the pop TV series was up for
00:21outstanding ensemble in a comedy series saying,
00:30Levy came up with the idea for the trip after contemplating what type of wrap gift he
00:35could get the actors to represent his level of gratitude for the past six seasons.
00:49Levy added that he remained surprised that their experience is so unique in the industry.
00:53I'm realizing more and more how rare this was in terms of just how close we've all gotten
00:57and how much we all love each other, as corny as that sounds.
01:00Friends of mine told me that when they wrapped their shows, they didn't want to talk to anyone.
01:04I can't relate to that because all I wanted to do when this was over was continue to be
01:07around these people.
