00:20Cobra Kai's reign of no mercy is coming to an end. Season 6 of the show will be its last.
00:26Netflix made the announcement with this video on Friday.
00:28After all this time, we've built something together to be proud of.
00:38The video goes on to tease Season 6 as the biggest and baddest of them all.
00:47A premiere date hasn't been set yet, but the video claims that the final season is coming soon.
00:52The show's creators said in a statement in part,
00:55Our day one goal with Cobra Kai has always been to end it on our terms, leaving the valley in the time and place we've always imagined.
01:02So it is with immense pride and thankfulness that we are able to announce that achievement.

01:19The continuation of the Karate Kid movie franchise began as a YouTube series and later moved to Netflix,
01:24where it has been a strong performer for the streaming platform.
01:27At six seasons and 60 or so episodes, Cobra Kai will end as one of the longer-running series on Netflix's current roster.
