Cameron Crovetti On Playing Young Ryan Gosling and Choosing Between Butcher & Homelander On 'The Boys'

Cameron Crovetti spoke with The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet of the 'They Gray Man' movie premiere.

00:00You play young Ryan Gosling in this movie.

00:02What was it like taking on that role and portraying him in his younger years?

00:05It was really cool.

00:07I mean, also a big part of the auditioning process.

00:10What really motivated me for this role was getting to play young him

00:13because, I mean, of course, all the things he's been in, him as a person.

00:18He's such an amazing actor, so I was very excited to, you know,

00:21play a young version of him in this film.

00:23Now, of course, you wouldn't be in any of the same scenes,

00:25but did you get to meet him on set at all?

00:28I did. I mean, I said hi.

00:29It was a short because he had to go to set, so I was in the makeup trailer.

00:33I came out.

00:34I said hi to him, but he had to go to set, so it was a very short meet, but yes.

00:39Now, you're also on The Boys,

00:41and you had a really big role in the finale that recently aired.

00:44Can you talk to me about it a little bit,

00:45that big decision your character had to make?

00:48Oh, yes.

00:49Actually, yeah.

00:50Oh, yes, so that was – we shot that last year in Toronto,

00:55but I'm very excited to see what they'll do with my character.

00:58I mean, of course, like, Ryan has always been very, like, iffy with who he's going to be with

01:04if Butcher or Homelander, you know, which one he's going to go with to choose as his father figure,

01:09but at the end, you kind of – it kind of hints that he's going to be going with Homelander,

01:13and he might not be so good in the next season.

01:16What do you think the future holds for your character on the show?

01:20I'm actually not that sure.

01:21I mean, I think since Homelander's not that good of a person,

01:25I don't know if Ryan's going to become similar to him, but that's what I'm guessing.

01:32Yeah.

01:32And with this movie, what are you most excited for fans to see?

01:35Of course, a huge cast with Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling,

01:38but what do you think viewers are going to love about it?

01:40Probably – I mean, probably the special effects.

01:44I mean, the story, of course, is amazing.

01:47I mean, and, you know, with such a big budget, I'm sure, you know,

01:51it's going to be an incredible movie.

01:53The special effects are going to be awesome.

01:54It's going to be really enjoyable to watch.
