00:15According to authorities, a family member was driving Renner's vehicle when it got stuck due to weather conditions near his home.
00:22The actor got his snow plow, which weighed over 14,000 pounds, to get the vehicle out.
00:28But when he got out to speak with the family members, the machine started to roll, hitting Renner.
00:33The sheriff's office said the incident was a tragic accident and that they're investigating any potential mechanical failure of the snow plow.
00:41This investigation is ongoing. However, we do not suspect any foul play. We believe it was a tragic accident.
00:47Ahead of Tuesday's news conference, Renner posted to Instagram a photo of himself in a hospital bed, writing,
00:53Thank you all for your kind words. I'm too messed up now to type, but I send love to you all.
00:59During the conference, the sheriff said no doctors were on the scene, but noted several of Renner's neighbors came to the aid of the actor, who is an honorary deputy.
01:08Rendering aid to Renner was delayed due in part to the weather conditions in the region at the time.
