Sterling K. Brown discusses being a part of 'Black Panther' at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards.
Transcript
00:00Black Panther. Are you shirtless?
00:05No, I'm not shirtless. I'm fully clothed in the Panther.
00:09I leave that to my other co-stars to go full, not full Monty, but at least, you know, waist up.
00:15And then hopefully maybe if the Marvel Universe will have me back, I can take my shirt off later.
00:20How amazing is it to be a part of Black Panther? It's history-making, it's superheroes, it's a black cast, it's Black Panther.
00:27It is history, and it is just being at base camp, and you see about 24 trailers lined up, one after the other,
00:35and each, slowly but surely, a black face comes out of each one of them, and they go to set,
00:41and we shoot with a black director, Ryan Coogler, and a black producer, Nate Moore.
00:46Like, to see this level of production with all these black faces, it will bring me to tears right now.
00:53Did you ever think, did you ever think it would be possible?
00:56No. You know what, I used to actually read Reggie Hudlin's version of the Black Panther comic in the early 2000s.
01:04I remember thinking, they'll never make a black superhero movie, but these are awesome,
01:08and now it's actually happening, and I'm actually in it.
01:12Like, I'll pinch myself come February a few times just to make sure it's real.
01:17That's pretty amazing. I cannot wait to see, have you seen it yet?
01:19No. I've seen bits and pieces from the ADR that I've done, and what I've seen, I've been encouraged by.
