The actor and Fox TV say Youngjoo Hwang's complaints, which allegedly occurred on the set of 'The Grinder,' were investigated and found to be meritless.

00:00Fred Savage has denied assault claims from a former costumer who said he swore at her
00:04and created a hostile work environment on the set of Fox's The Grinder.
00:08Youngju Huang claims Savage was verbally abusive and had a reputation for tormenting
00:13female crew members, according to TMZ, which first reported on Wednesday that a lawsuit
00:18has been filed against the actor. Huang and her attorney, Onohita Setagatfar, held a press
00:23conference to discuss the allegations, which include that Savage yelled at her not to touch
00:27him while she was dusting dandruff off of his suit on set and violently struck her arm.
00:32Setagatfar confirmed during the press conference that she filed a complaint against Savage and Fox
00:38for assault, battery, discrimination and gender harassment, among other claims, and Huang is
00:43seeking damages for emotional distress. Both Savage and 20th Century Fox television say the claims
00:48were investigated and found to be meritless. Savage said in part in a Wednesday statement,
00:53None of her claims could be substantiated because they did not happen. He added,
00:58While none of the accusations being leveled at me are true, I wholeheartedly support all people
01:03who feel they are being mistreated to come forward and speak to human resources and those in charge.
01:08Fox on Wednesday also issued a statement saying,
01:10Fox takes all allegations of improper conduct very seriously. We conducted a thorough investigation
01:16into these allegations and found no evidence of any wrongdoing on the part of Mr. Savage.
01:21We will vigorously defend against these unfounded claims.
01:25Setagatfar claims Fox did not conduct an independent investigation and encouraged any others
01:30who experienced issues with the actor to contact her.
